I was stationed on an aircraft carrier in the late 80's, and used to pull into Subic Bay, Philippines frequently. Used to go to this awesome rock bar called "California Jams" in Olongapo City. Dude did GnR, Boston, Queen, Bad Co, you name it, he could sing it. I must have seen him a dozen times back then. I remember thinking... "This dude could come to America and kill it!"
Be grateful if you are fan of Journey. All the people posting negative comments are living in the past. If you think Journey is going to sound like it's 1982 you're out of your mind. Even if it was the Escape line up performing, people age, people change and it's not going to be the same almost 40 years later! Listen to Steve Perry's solo album. While it is quite good, his voice could never handle any of these songs live. Be thankful Arnel is performing with them and you're still able to see Journey live. If not, go see Dean and Greg with Journey Through Time (Awesome too!). Either way, stop with the negativity and be grateful these guys are still making music and performing for you.
Also needing to be added is poor Arnels voice is worn from doing his job and trying to fulfill those Steve Perry tunes, and HIS ageing. Imagine what it did to Steve's voice! He hasn't lost his voice, but it has changed, but his talent for writing and delivery is what is loved. I love Hearing anything Journey, but it's Steve Perry's style that's the bomb!

Still one of the most incredible rock bands in history. Every instrument right on. I think this is one of their best performances ever. I'm glad they're finally in the Hall of Fame they deserve it!!!! Neal Schon makes that guitar sing!!!!
I have been a Journey/Neal Schon fan since the early 80's, have seen them in concert 9 times, have watched and listened to everything they have out and I absolutely can not get enough of Neal's solo on this one. WCN has always been my favorite Journey tune and his solos on it are always off the top, soulful, heartfelt, moving, and the sometime changes in the licks that he is capable of blending in and keeping the song fresh just blows me away. Ordered my self and my grand daughter ( named Jurni after the band ) each a set and cant wait to sit in front of my 70' tv with the surround blaring feeling I am once again in the front row. Keep doing what you do Neal YOU ARE JOURNEY
Steve Perry is a very hard act to follow but personally I think Arnel does a great job.fair play,if I had a voice like that I’d be over the moon. Credit where Credit is due. Excellent performance by all involved, classic track, always will be.
Arnel has the sound, but he doesn't have the soul. Listening to this track immediately after listening to Steve Perry doing the same, Arnel just sounds hollow and superficial. He has an amazing voice, but he sure isn't Steve Perry. Nobody ever will be.
When I was 12, I bought Escape with my newspaper delivery earnings and relished the new Journey sound with Steve Perry. I actually wore out my LP and had tore place it not long after purchase as I replayed and dissected this great record. Who's Crying Now is one of my favorite Journey songs as it showcases such great balanced musicianship as each member shines in their own melodic contributions. There are some songs you mistake for others and then there are songs, like this, that are unmistakably and timelessly unique.
Great song! It is good to hear this song again with Arnel Pineda! Good to watch with people who enjoy playing and singing the music . I haven't listened to this since the 80s. Steve Perry said he has moved on from these songs! Love Steves new CD with Traces and Were Still Here. Glad there is no singer drama like in Van Halen. I seen a picture of Steve giving Arnel a hug - I think it was at the Rock and Roll hall of fame.
Dear god this song has the highest notes. Arnel Pineda will live in world music history as one of the best vocalist and frontman of one of the best and most admired band in the world. They all just keep on giving and that voice is eternally awesome. And it's 2020, sad early months with this coronavirus, listening to the band and Arnel sings takes your mind off from this virus crisis.

Amazing voice. Take care and GOD BLESS YOU all always
Neil is still amazing! 🎸
Loveニール・ショーン様、最高です!❤
Wow they sound fenomenal!!!
Journey Rocks!!!!! One Of the BEST Rock Bands of All Time!!!!!! 😍😍😍😍 Did Neal throw his guitar pic out to the Audience!!!!! ❤️❤️❤️❤️
Lots of Love & wishes to new Journey member Arnel of Manila, Journey fan from District-Karbi Ang long.State-Assam.India.🤘💕
I want to be in a journey concert I love them so much 😥😥😥❤
still watching! 😍😍😍
Love this version, and yes, with Arnel
It's so cool seeing Ross and Steve here. I know the lawsuits fly, but this is a time capsule gem.
great bass playing and its sound.
the bass envelops the entire music.
That guitar solo was... utterly amazing to me
A quite respectful rendition of this new song..Arnel nailed it.!!
Will look up to see if there are other songs with him singing.!!
Watch the Manila Concert that's the prime Arnel Pineda every sing is almost perfect.
Steve Smith is a humble man, he 's not even on a drummer stage, but he is one of the finest drummers out there !
That guitar solo! Possessed by the spirit of music, melodius rock, and just soul.
So much of it! Better with age, and the original recording.
Man Steve smith is a crazy good drummer! All the members are very good and all the tones are just perfect
That solo ending is just simply beyond incredible!!!!!!!! Just wow. All the emotions that runs through me during this ending speaks volume
one of THE great musical guitar solos of all time, right up there with Comfortably Numb and the like
One of best guitar solos. Kudos to Neal Schon....
I'm Speachless!
What a song!
What a performance!
I Hope you may come back to México again!
Cheers!
Bro this guy truly loves to sing!! He's having the time of his life!! Amazing singer
It's a karaoke killer unless you drop down a few semitones. It's 2021, still listening to this to take the edge of this disaster.

Proud to call Arnel as one of my people ! Wow I love this music !
Brilliant of Journey to pick Arnel, not only is he as good as Steve but he is Asian which opens their fan base to billions of people.
Pablo Jose you seem to be confused about how things work.
@@roydroll2542 I don't think so.
Pablo Jose just because the “new” singer is Philippino doesn’t mean the entire continent of Asia will all of a sudden discover Journey and become fans.
@@roydroll2542 I watched the documentary about Arnel being hired....actually think he's been in the band now longer than Steve Perry was, anyway, the arenas in Asia were packed, even in the states - be they Filipino or not, but a lot of the fans were Asian.
Pablo Jose 🙏🇵🇭🙏
That guitar is telling a story and I want to listen to it all 😍
Arnel still has the passion. What a great singer. Nobody can replace Steve Perry, but Arnel has made a good effort to sing Journey songs.
Arnel replace
Arnel, and the boys song and played that absolutely beautifully!! that’s one of the best versions I think I have ever heard!
Well done Arnel
Dang!!! Arnel killed this song!!!

GRABEEEEEEE !!!
it's a murder......call the cops.........
