You know those funeral wreaths were sent on the day of Sulli's passing. Do these people never learn? We already lost 2 people from SM from two well-known groups. How many more do we have to lose before things change and SM stops catering to these unhinged people who send funeral wreaths to someone who is still alive, and for what to bully him. And to think Seunghan wasn't the only one who was being bullied like this, so many other idols went through similar things. When will it end?
I"m so incredibly grateful to you for making this video. I agree completely that Seunghan going against korean norms in such an innocent way, is no excuse for them to send literal death threats. I can't wrap my mind around how their minds work. I mean, it worked, but the fact that so many people were able to justify going that far, is horrifying and I can no longer think of them as human beings. And the amount of gaslighting and blatant victim blaming in those statements, floors me. What do they mean "we respected his decision to leave"?! Are they talking about the boy who turned 21 this month and who had trained at their company for 7 years? Yes, I totally "believe" there was absolutely no undue influence from their end. 🙄 Them trying to make it sound like he was the one wanted to leave, as they kept making him apologize to the people who sent him death threats. I can't get over how foul that is. It makes my eyes water, my heart race and my head pound, and I'm just a fan of some of the other SM groups. I never really got into Riize's music, and when he was put on hiatus it didn't feel right. I love Aespa, and was looking forward to their comeback before all this happened. I commented on one of their teasers, that I no longer looked forward to their comeback, because I feared they nor any other artist was safe in SM. I hope the parents of aspiring k-pop idols stop sending their children to SM. I am so incredibly sad for Seunghan and his family and hope they are doing as well as could be expected under the circumstances.
If this keeps up, SM won’t have a company anymore, because they would’ve given it up to unhinged K-pop fans. They practically have already done that, but it’ll be even worse and they may not even have a company anymore if they constantly cater to these people.
From what I've seen, Seunghan has a sensitive nature. Therefore, I can see him be easily swayed by these toxic OT6 fans messages and insisting on leaving - believing he has to, for the sake of the other members he cares about. Being young and sensitive, I feel this was a spur of the moment decision on his part. But, the managers or whoever was in charge, should've told Seunghan to take some time to decide. And get the imput from the rest of Riize. Yes, the managers buckled under the toxic pressure, and just went along with his impulsive decision. These idiots ! With time, this toxic OT6 fans reactions would've faded. If SM had smarter management, they wouldn't have placed Seunghan on hiatus in the first place. Or, brought him back much sooner, than almost a year later. It's no wonder, they've lost a lot of their established artists.
@SpringNotes I 💯 agree with you. If rise had better management, Seunghan would never have been put on hiatus in the first place, because all of the members were embroiled in some kind of stupid fan made scandal that wasn’t real, Seunghan just happened to be the one that got punished. And then SM was looking stupid after People did the same thing to Anton, and Sohee, and another member who’s name escapes me right now. You can’t put them all on hiatus, for what fans fabricated in their own brains… If they really want the fans to decide for them so badly, then I think every last staff member in SM needs to quit their job and give it to the unhinged K netizens. Let them run your company to the ground and straight to hell.
@@moonlight_antonio Well, I wouldn't go that far 😂 of letting toxic fans run a K pop company. They would just commit even more insane abuses. It's interesting, when the hate train started rolling for Eunseok and Anton, after Seunghan was in hiatus - they had this emergency, group video appearance for damage control. Why couldn't they have done the same, with Seunghan ? The management could've made better decisions. But instead, they went with the worst decisions possible !
Your anger is justifiable. The companies obey these toxic so called fans, which I believe to be in the minority. And these toxic stans are the first one to cancel an idol, at the mention of bullying allegations. Yet, that's what they are doing exactly 😵💫😂. By supporting these behaviors, the companies are enabling actual abuse. Like parents' with a toddler, you need to establish firm boundaries, between what is right and wrong behaviors. If you endorse that behavior - it will continue with greater strength. There's currently a Riize boycott by the OT7 fans and internations Kpop stores. Let's hope and pray, that a miracle can happen.
I’ve heard about the boycott and I’ve even heard that there’s a petition for Seunghan’s return, but I don’t know if anything will come of it, hopefully something will, but it just frustrates me so much and I was holding this anger, in while being sick and hearing the news, it was boiling inside me.
There is a part of me that suspects that SM forced him to leave so that the OT6 push for BTS would be justified. There is $ changing hands here, I suspect.
This is a country problem. I’m not sure if you are aware of the time when BTS been discussed as a potentially exempt other than the government just reward them on their contribution to the nation. They did a survey who actually BTS scored 68% of South Korean people with the exemption, but they went with that 32% because they mostly were men in their 20s, who felt jealous that they will have an exemption, so they literally back down from it just because some idiots who actually caused themselves jobs opportunities, their statistics that BTS only the existing of BTS provide 8000 jobs a year and anticipated to be troubled in the future future not to mention helping small businesses , so in my opinion, usually artist is used as a fake gestures from incompetent government as we are doing what you want and we are listening to you 🙄it is just a distraction. I could bet you I wouldn’t even doubt that it’s a cover up for some corruption going on and this poor guy was the sacrifice

You know, now they are also sending wreaths for Yoongi too wanting him out of the group. And it's just horrible.

I hope so. I used to really like SM's type of k-pop, but I feels surprisingly easy to boycott their music.

We knew SM would do this. But to add in the unhinged fans/antis just makes it worse.

KPOP has literally become a joke after thiss
