Hey everyone! Starting next Wednesday (October 4th), all future Hidden Stories will be migrating to a new, separate channel for clarity and simplicity. All of the current stories will still remain up on this channel, but all new videos moving forward will be posted on the new "Hidden Stories" UA-cam channel here: www.youtube.com/@hiddenstoriesYT. If you want to continue keeping up with the weekly stories and my Hidden Stories series, subscribe to this new channel ✌
I believe you were born to be a story teller. You use facial expressions, hand gestures and the tone of your voice to make the story more interesting. Keep making your stories.
I've seen The Revenant, and it was one of the most depressing stories I have ever witnessed. Still, what happened in it doesn't even sound like half the misery this guy had to endure.
This guy deserves a medal, he spent countless hours of recording voicelines, editing, publishing, preparing, studying, just for us to watch his content for free. We need more people like him.
You never disappoint Andy. I love your passion and these stories are all incredible. I can't wait for the rest of your followers discover. They will be in for a treat and these stories will take off. This one was wild. Thank you for this.
Another fantastic episode! I've heard this story before, either so short that large chunks were left out or so long that I couldn't keep track of what was going on. Your version is perfectly edited, I understand his struggle, his motivations, and the monumental odds he was up against along the way. Thank you!
I watched the story portrayed by Leonardo DeCaprio years back, but the way you described it is more intense and informative, as you said, the movie didn't show much of it, I love the way you narrate the stories, thank you Andy😊
Great job, Andy! I found you a month or so b4 you started your longer episodes. I've gotta tell ya that I was as excited as a lil kid, full of sugar, to hear that you were starting these longer versions! Great idea & great job!! Much love from southern Indiana ❤️
Welcome 🤗 back Andy!!!! I hope you're feeling better and Happy 4th of July!! Thanks for posting. Woke up on the wrong side of the bed this morning. Seeing your up load perked me up!
Andy, I've always enjoyed your shorts, but hearing these, the whole story reminds me of an old radio show Paul Harvey's "The Rest of the Story". He even did a book with many of the stories used on his radio show. Just putting that idea out there for you... a Hidden Stories book. 🙂
I like the idea! have always considered putting together a book of all the most fascinating stories that I’ve covered, it will happen eventually 😂 thanks for sharing!
@@andyyjiang I'm happy to hear that! I had bought his book as often I wasn't able to hear him on the radio. I mean with you, I see the shorts and then these longer versions, which are great but thought a book of these stories would be awesome. :) Best of luck with your new book! I'll look forward to it just as I do to your videos.👍🙂
I loved Paul Harvey! My father and his Hardware Store were featured in one of his stories but I loved him for years and years prior to that. I never see or hear anyone ever mention him. He was such an amazing storyteller! ❤
@@Amy-qe7ti Oh how cool! Makes me want to find his book again. I loved his stories. Seeing Andy's short video then sometimes followed by a longer one made me think of him it's as if we're getting "the rest of the story" with the longer videos. 😊
I loved your storytelling in Shorts. When I found out you did full length storytelling on your channel, I immediately found it and subscribed. You are a real and talented story teller. Your entire being and body becomes the story. I enjoy watching and listening to the incredible stories you tell. Truly a genius storyteller.
I’ve been into true crime. I’ve watched your shorts and just realized you have long version videos. I thought this was a great adventure and you told very well. New sub, thx!
I have truly enjoyed watching you as you have developed your skills as a story teller... i always look forward to your next short or full length video as they are so interesting and usually something i have never heard about before
i really love this stories at first i thought it was just like a boring kind of stories video but surprisingly good video and i keep watching it from that day glad i found this channel/series
Your storytelling skills are really great. You always have so much confidence when narrating your stories. Hidden Stories truly deserves to be on UA-cam Trending. I actually have a podcast on Spotify and listening to your podcast, I now know where I can improve in my narration: I could have confidence like you. You truly deserve to be appreciated by the world.
Hey buddy, every one of your videos in these hidden stories is getting better and better your confidence is growing and growing keep up the great work it's very much appreciated. Good luck and God bless ya buddy
Cause most of his audience is a tiktok/instagram audience, even I ,who have been following him since like 2021, am only finding the time recently to watch his long format videos
As someone who adores storys ur storytelling enthusiasm and amazing editing and detail attention made this one of my all time favorite channel that I always watch when I'm bored or just feeling down Thank u for being an awesome entertainer and youtuber
I'm so glad you didn't say up front that this story was depicted in the Revenant. As I was listening and watching your story, before you flashed up the Revenant images, I was like, this is just like the Revenant! The movie was amazing to watch in the cinema when it came out. Hugh Glass, what incredible strength.
You Andy are that one friend who has infinite stories and everyone at the campfire would listen to them until the fire burns out and even after I love the effort and passion you put into these stories keep it up your amazing!
Hey Andy I’ve been subbed to you for a while I mostly listen to shorts but you keep my day bright bc I look forward to seeing your next video keep it up i csnt wait to be here when you get to 2 Million followers
I enjoy your content and respect how much work you put into each episode : ) But I have to criticize the way you talk about the native Americans. Calling them indian, bloodthirsty, hostile etc. The furtrappers where in their land and unspeakable crimes where committed against their people. A disclaimer in the beginning that you will call them indians for historical reasons would have been nice. Hope you consider to do some more research into aspects like that in future stories.
thanks for the comment! in hindsight you're totally right. The portrayal of Native Americans that I used in this video was entirely from the perspective of the white fur trappers, so there was definitely some bias there. I thought that it would be clear that every description I used wasn't my own opinion, but just how Hugh Glass and the other trappers viewed it (since the story is told from Hugh Glass' perspective), but now that I watch the video again I see how that can be unclear. Will definitely be keeping this in mind moving forward, thank you!
@@GoodPersonTestWebsitethat was not at all the OP's point. He was speaking of the insensitivity of the words spoken in the video that were not clearly identified as those of the historical person himself. Those words are now offensive in current times and would not be used normally. They cause pangs of pain when heard by the offended party. So the OP was just bringing this to the creator's attention. Because if anybody has watched even a few of this man's videos you will know that he himself would not want people to think that these ugly words were his and therefore conclude he is a bigot. And yes to intentionally use this kind of language in this day and age would immediately get you labelled a small-minded bigot. Regardless of any instances of anything in the past. There is nothing that the first Nation or native Americans have done that was not also done by the white man invading his land. Anything done in defense of your land is generally accepted today. Doesn't the Castle Doctrine allow one to use lethal force in order to protect one's home and property? Then how could we ever negatively judge anything the native Americans did in pursuit of protecting their home and the land that they have lived on for generations??
