I loved Alysheba the son of Alydar and I prayed for the gallant champion Ferdinand he was loved by many and the hell with the people who had him and the way he was killed. Those Pigs. Remember these gallant champions in our hearts forever .

God bless him! Regards from Venezuela.
I flew from Argentina with Good Taste and 2 others ,my wife bought a share in him. You can imagine what a thrill it was to run so closely to two fantastic horses.
Alysheba a True Champion and my Heart!! Ferdinand a worthy adversary... what the people who owned Ferdinand in his post racing career is Absolutely Disgracefull!! R.I.P. Champs
This, along with Sunday Silence and Easy Goers Preakness, were the 2 best horses races I've ever seen! Along with the 87' Classic, because passing the 1/8 pole, Candi's Gold, Judge Angleucci, and Ferdinand all had the lead. Pincay at the rail, Eddie D., Shoemaker, and Chris McCarron on the outside! The 4 greatest Jockey's IMO..♥️🙏👉🇺🇸
When horse racing was fun to watch. This days we don’t get to see two Kentucky Derby winners race each other’s at all. Thanks for this video

I'd give anything to go back to these days.....every weekend was just fun to watch and to be there if you were lucky. It was my Disneyland for sure.

What a race. Alysheba my favorite of all time!!!
What a twosome, Alysheba and Ferdinand. No matter who jumped out in the lead, the other caught up and made it a race. One of the great rivalries.

Some great horses bred in Argentina! Including Blue Stripe recently..

You are right Bri as they say in Japan "disposed of".
That was sad ending for a champion. Shoemaker said he would have taken to his farm if he knew that was going to happen.
Shoemaker was a great jockey. He knew he had to stick it to Alysheba early otherwise he would have to play catch up late. Alysheba was a beast

Alysheba is the greatest ever and Trevor Denman was to.
Poor Ferdinand completely forgotten and discarded like trash. May those involved in has murder burn in hell !!
Wow, did Ferdinand have a lot of close calls. Gutsy horse.
He did nose out Sheena in the 87 breeders cup though. One of the best rivalries ever in horse racing.
