I can confirm you can drag and drop weapons on the ground into a storage box. YOu can do the same for armor but you have to take it off the npc first, have them laying on the ground as boxes, then drag the boxes into the storage container.
@@infinitespace239when you are looking for 1 SCU + Store-All in warehouse inventory go to the filters at the top and select containers - All categories. I also select Other - All categories. The box should be there. Also if you move box to the left screen you can open it by double click, close it with the small arrow at the top left of screen. While it’s open you can drag items that will fit into the box from the warehouse inventory. I put ammo and essentials in a box using this method and just leave it in the hangar for easy access. Looting and moving things manually into a box worked as intended for me using a 1 or more SCU box.
You can call stuff up in the cargo elevator already in a storage box. Voidy Vids newest video shows you how. You drag a storage box on the cargo terminal to the left then double click on it to open. The drag anything you want in the container to the left.
Yes this is not good. Getting rid of ship inventory was a mistake. I think cargo boxes and moving it can stay but you should be able to continue to use ship inventory to transfer armor and weapons to this when on planet/bunkers
@@infinitespace239 well we shall see. I hope they don’t over-engineer this. The ship inventories work great and are good for looting guns and amor and that should just stay. When u get back to your hangar you may need to get a box to actually store it which is fine but I wanna LOOT. lol still fun
You can still use ship inventory, but only the actual storage compartments. Otherwise you have to physically store items on the ship. This also further defines ship roles. You will no longer be able to store mass amounts of gear on small starter ships, so you will have to logistically plan out how to store and loot and bring the right ship for the right occasion.
For small things just don't use the cargo lift but the Terminal and many of yor problems are gone. I looted some bunkers. It is doable but for 100% better to do with a group. The one thing i miss is a SCU container content to a empty SCU container transfer screen. That would make things much better. I can take something from a box to another without closing the box each and every time.
explain me how things are physicalized when you have to place them and snapp them on a grid then it's the items saved into database to ensure it's still there so therefore it isn't physicalized at all to my standards, physicalized means for me where i put item it should stay for whatever time until it's picked up ... and that's not what is happening again i see they are doing something from nothing...
Update on this, did you know while box is on the lift (it has to be on the lift - left side) down in the Wearhouse you double click on the box (it looks like it disappears, but it hasn't) and it opens so you can put items directly into box from wearhouse, no need to pull it up and manually do it from lift floor! edit - don't select all, you have to do it by dragging each item or stack accross one at a time, if you "move all" you will loose the items, potentially!
The respawn range for tier 3 beds (Cutty Red, C8R, Nursa) is meant to be 20KM, and 50KM for tier 2 beds...though I think it's broken in our favour in PU. So I wouldn't count on the bed in your hangar being usable as a long range respawn.
Also, it kind of helps if you try to move things into a box that actually has the proper size to fit the stuff you want to put in. You tried to put a nightstand into a backpack basically. It also helps if you do things properly and not fumble around and do tings that do not work.
I noticed if the items are locked to a deck or elevator you cant draw them in like that. If you tractor beam them to the deck of your hanger where it wont auto place or lock, it will work. I loot bodies by dropping everything on the ground and then placing a container there and dragging the guns and armor into it.
I already commented on the 1 + SCU boxes but just adding that the warehouse filter is a little off. For instance 1 and 2 SCU boxes are visible in warehouse inventory with Containers - All categories selected at the top, but 8 SCU box didn’t show in inventory until I selected Other - All categories.
I love being part of a process in Star Citizen. The rework of the inventory is more than necessary but will caouse a lot of issues for the beginning but after that...wow....the potential is huge. I cant wait for being able to test it on the ptu for myself.
You are correct and many will find that after learning to use the system it's actually better. People can dispute that, but for starters you need a 1 SCU box and they are working correctly. When you get into the PTU adjust the warehouse cargo lift terminal filters at the top so you can see everything in there. The filter is quirky and for instance even though i had Containers - all selected in the filter I could see size 1 and 2 containers, but I couldn't see my 8 SCU container until I selected category Other - ALL. Same with weapons, I have a yellow FS-9 but I don't see that particular weapon until I have Other - All selected in the filter.
Did you try draging items in your character's hands? My suspicion is that is the way looting will work. You will only be able to loot what you can carry in your hands. If that is their goal then you will have to manually grab the item and put it in your backpack. No more items teleporting from the body on to the ground or teleporting from the ground into a box Edit: it looks like it's working to drop on to the ground at least. I would assume you could pick stuff up and place it in the box as well

I've decided to move boxes in real life and i've pop up cheat code by bringing up barrow and you won't believe how much more fun it is compared to SC :D :D :D on a serious note those items are not physicalized I think it's just a hype-word.. You simply did it wrong. Pull fps items out on the cargo elevator *inside boxes* or with the iteels kiosks, or else you will need to detach them from the grid with a tractor.
