Those extractor fans are no doubt bathroom ones as you say, Matt. Their extract rate is usually around 30 litres per second. Even if they’re super-beefy kitchen ones they’re likely to have an extract rate of 60 litres per second. An extract fan will take a fair few minutes (probably about twenty) to clear the steam from a typical UK bathroom. Del basically needs the extract unit from a commercial kitchen or pizza shop to act effectively in a workshop of that size. In the normal run of things he’s probably better just opening a window to get rid of fumes.

We had to watch him raise his lift, clean it, and cover it, only for him to put his few bits of scrap metal on it for a few seconds while he sat at it explaining what he was gonna do, for him to then transfer them to a different bench, to wipe them over, for him to then take them back over to the lift where he still had to do loads of stuff before he could start the work. Including screwing together bits of wood over his clean covered lift with the metal he’s going to paint right there. He could’ve just filmed the painting bit, not edited it, and put the video up. He probably would’ve had the same amount of views, for only 5 minutes work.
Yeah I honestly can't believe he has any subscribers at all with the worthless content he's making. Wasted nearly 2 minutes of an 11 minute video just faffing with the bench and blankets etc. The finish on these is shoddy even for Del, yet there's still people praising him. They must be trolling or so bad at this stuff themselves they genuinely believe that's good work. I almost feel sorry for him though, he must just do this now for the views and nothing more. All my work is on my own bikes, which are all pretty old and very well used, and will never be sold on. And all my work is to a ‘that’ll do’ and ‘at least it’ll work’ stage, and that’s usually what I say whenever I finish jobs. And that’s how I would do videos if I did them. Just to give someone something to watch, and I would tell people not to copy me if they care what it looks like. But my life is too busy, and I don’t have the time or energy between bike rides to do anything over and above just getting stuff usable again, so I’ll probably never do videos. If del marketed himself like that, he would look better. It’s the stuff he says and his self congratulatory and patronizing tone and the looks on his face that really make him unwatchable for me.

I used to keep "good nozzles" when I found them as they were a rarity, now use airbrush and gun with a cheap compressor it does a better job than anything Del has ever done .But then I was apprentice panel beater when I left school.
I think the gauges sweep because there on a com bus and anytime you unplug or plug in a data bus it wakes up the system for a time period. Some power supplies are hit all the time .

The only thing that makes sense if the ignition was on the small LCD would have lit and no neutral light etc. he did re-pack the wire under the tank so might have nicked something, got my doubts. Still a bad move to pack all the wires under the tank
I see a place for machine bluing bike components, or even Parkerising them. A nice and simple passivating layer, which produces a degree which you can control. Rust to the rescue.

Serious question, what are the drawbacks of paint over mill scale? Generally, I just throw primer and paint on structural steel to prevent rust, sometimes some phosphoric acid to clear some surface rust. Obviously not for anything that is meant to look faktory.

If you want to use a bolt bigger than 10mm at the design stage, you have to explain why. As a result, all of his creations are mega light.

Mat you have seen a picture of my airbrush work , that was done in a dusty garage in Spain water is key in a dusty environment if you can't get it clean stop it moving about. How come he has so many subs for shit work. I wish I had the same for my efforts.

Over time it is a source of rust and causes the steel to rust under the paint.

It can be given as a matter of course, protecting ones self from future "mental" trauma or retaliatory acts and obsessive thoughts towards the person you haven't forgiven (obsessive thoughts and unforgiveness are poison and damaging to self).
