    I’ve recently ditched the Instagram account and started practicing meditation, daily stretches and breathing techniques - I became aware of how my breathing was very shallow and I had a lot of neck and shoulder tension - it’s work in progress to readjust but I’m feeling the benefits already

    Unlike lots of good things in life, "there are no side effects to breathing." While food supplies energy, "we get most of our energy through breathing." Healthy breathing and sleeping habits, plus movement and whole foods, are foundational to health I find.

    This describes perfectly how I think I was breathing at work. I felt like the adrenaline was pumping all the time and I was having panic attacks. I was signalling to my body that I was in danger and was constantly in fight or flight mode. Since I’ve controlled my breath I literally feel like a different person. I can’t believe something so simple can be so life changing.

      I experimented almost everything for my epilepsy, histamine intolerance, panic attacks, irritability etc... The real game changer was just closing my mouth 24h/day and breathing through the nose. We were designed to breath with the nose, not with the mouth.

    I've been having blood pressure issues and even though I've had doctors looking at all kinds of different things that could be causing it, I'm really starting to think it's mainly related to my breathing. I've been focusing on taking controlled 4 second in 8 second out breaths and it's caused me to notice that I normally take short choppy breaths...and that's assuming I'm even breathing at all. Sometimes I catch myself holding my breath unconsciously. Focusing on breathing multiple times per day is helping get the BP lowered. When I brought this up to my doctor he was somewhat dismissive of the idea, but I find it hard to dismiss when I can reliably lower my BP by just relaxing and focusing on taking long, full breaths.

According to my youtube breathing journey , 4:4:4:4 is good, coherent breathing is good, rhythmic breathing is good, 4-7-8 is good , 2-3 is good, and much more, with so many techniques that are recommended its more and more confusing . The pardadox is the more you think about it the more your gonna induce anxiety as in : - I have to breath slowly , calm down etc.. Sure breathing is important but If you have low dopamine receptors active overall it wont do anything. You must balnce, food , exercise, sleeping, breathing. Its a total equation not just 1 simple miracle solution.

    I am super interested in this subject, because I was stressed my whole childhood, and life. I began to have issues with hyperventilation, in my teens. A guy stopped me on my walk to my girlfriend's house. At that age we were boy crazy, but when this guy asked for my phone number, I was so nervous, I guess. I tried to be kind, explaining that I didn't give my number to strangers, but he wouldn't back off. I guess, I hyperventilated, and I passed out. He took me/ home in a cab, but I still didn't give him my phone number. My sister had similar issues, and I am wondering if it could be genetic, or just because we were raised in the same environment. I have been trying the exercises you recommend, but one thing that is important is that I have developed apnea, but I read in my research on the subject, that quote...People who have had open abdominal surgery will most likely have respiratory issues. My issues began RIGHT after my open abdominal gall bladder surgery, and I have been questioning doctors for years with no success. I learned that statement in a medical journal in my years of research. When I lie down, I actually feel, and sense that IF I go to sleep, my brain will not give the inhale command to my lungs. I can actually feel the slackness of sensation, that creates the signal to inhale. I thought it was a damaged diaphragm, but my doctor said, if I had that, I would have presented more symptoms, that would be much wose. I awaken, at times hyperventilating, with a rapid pulse. I put my nightshirt over my face, and take in carbon dioxide, and bear down to slow the heart rate, and it stops. For years, I thought I was dying because I couldn't breathe upon awakening. How I reached 76 years old I will never know. Thank you for such USEFULL, and VALUABLE information.

    I feel like an hdhd friendly way of practising this, is to práctice in-hale whistling.
    Long inhale, playing with creating sound. Short-medium lenght nose- exhale. Feels good. Definetly makes me yawn and chill out.
    Vagus nerve stimulating- probably. Cheers. 🖐️✨

    Keep it simple
    You just put a bunch would be meditation, yoga, TAICHI instructors out business. Good for you.
    Here is another rhythm
    Visualize the surf coming in as you breath in pause and breath out as surf returns to the ocean

    What’s the app he uses for breathing while at work?

  • @Steve_Wolf
    @Steve_Wolf 24 дні тому

    Breathing and posture are integrated. True raspatory functionality is something we assess firstly and primarily . Finding muscle inhibition, unlocking ridged vertebrae's and healing visceral inflammation.
    Creating custom programs to recondition breathing this as well. James shares a lot in his studies, I've read his books and enjoyed them. However theirs some vary comprehensive components that need to come to light .

      I had terrible sinus issues all my life using diff sprays . The miracle that fixed my nose is by drinking only hot water. Do not drink cold water anymore and stick with hot water. It’s literally miracle I cannot believe it I don’t use any medication and my nose is clear every single day. I also train . Mediate and take cold showers but hot water drinking is what cured my nose please give it shot . Hot water in general is much better for your body then cold water to drink. Much more benefits

    What about the Wim Hof method of 35 deep breaths and on outbreath hold the breath for a set period of time and do 4 rounds? Is this as powerful as what you are suggesting?

    • @karlrobb1654

      Wim Hof method is very powerful, but the most powerful thing you can do is breath deeply through your nose. Most important thing.

      it is good if you breath only from the nose and not the mouth .... breathing from the mouth is not good for your throat and the glands in there

      WHM is more for meditation, immunity, and whole body oxygenation. I do it daily, but feel I need a whole box of 'tricks' to overcome Meniere's and Chronic fatigue- I reckon this simple 4,4,6,2 will get me started. Along with my cold plunges in the ocean 😉😉

    • @tomdewittefoto6701
      @tomdewittefoto6701 2 роки тому

      WHM is not for everyone, hyperventilation can be harmfull. It does NOT oxygenate the body... It is powerfull in the way that you begin to hallucinate due to a lack of oxygen intake

    It probably should be called mail apnea because a lot of people hold their breath when they open mail that comes through their letterbox, not just email. Probably in the expectation that it's going to be bad news, a court summons for an unknown reason, a parking or speeding ticket they are unaware of or thought they got away with or a bill, The dreaded bill being the most unpopular yet most prevalent.
