I have a couple of G-shocks & this beats them in viewing angle, loudness of alarm, comfort on wrist and size of digits. The display is really good and better than a G.

Casio came out with it because the F91 to many people felt like a kid’s or women’s size watch and they wanted something bigger and more rugged and it delivered. The smaller watch will still be available to people who want a more petite watch but now there is choice so you can pick what suits you best.

I agree. This is a great watch for under $15.00 here in the US. I have the green version just because most of my Casio's are black. Agreat beater watch for sure.

The W218 is a Boss, got myself one in orange! I was looking for F91 with a better Backlight. I was looking at the skmei 1412, The Casio 105, or The Casio W86. I got already the W202 and Its a Boss, but not so much my type, a G Shock 5400, great Watch, but I want a slimmer. I have the A168 ...but want one with a resin strap.

Nice basic watch. What is the length of the strap (on the watch)? I just wish this watch (and the W800H-1AV) had a countdown timer function standard, but one can add this functionality to the W800H-1AV (and W96-H) -- /watch?v=z80O7eGvPu4
I work security in a hospital, which unfortunately involves going hands on from time to time. I've been wearing this same watch for around a year, and I have minimal scratching on the crystal. It's been very durable so far! Definitely the most durable watch I own, well, aside from a freakishly tough Fossil watch I bought in 2004 or 2005.
Pretty sure the month because it said in the manual it assumes Feb is 28 days so I guess every four years you have to adjust the date. LOL. For the money, it's amazing and I have two G shocks with the auto time keeping and solar. This is more clear but thinner and lighter as you say. It doesn't replace them but is a nice addition.
Maybe someone can explain. This 218h is rated for 50m. Yet, several reviewers don’t recommend that you shower or swim with it. Clearly neither showering nor swimming come even close to the 50m mark. Is this watch that poorly built?
I own this watch, and love it. Own too many other watches, some are automatics that require more care. This one is really the best wear and forget watch. The G-Shocks are bulky, less comfortable and buttons on G-Shock are so recessed that it is hard to push them. On the other hand the F91 is legendary Casio, and great for a teenager to wear but looks anemic on the wrist. The light on F91 is very weak, outdated. W218H strikes perfect balance between the Gorilla feel of 5600 G-Shock and tiny feel of F91. I just wish the lug width for the strap was 20mm so we can wear with standard nato style straps.

I've seen them, very similar to the DW5600, which I'm actually waiting for delivery of! There's so many of them out there, little bit like Pokemon, feel like I've got to collect them all 😂 I get you, its the small things

Waiting for that to arrive hopefully Monday.... Watches are awesome... Some people spend lots on the straps... I like the straps as they are.... Take it easy my friend and stay safe....... Ps Gonna try to stop buying anymore now.... The above casios and the two pro treks I have should keep me happy....

One of my favourite digital beater. Bumped, scratched, sprayed, still works fine even after years. The only concern is the straps, as usual :D

Can ı swim with casio w218h? And Is the front glass durable?
It has 50m Water resistance which is ISO certified so i'd happily take it swimming. The front glass is simple acrylic so can be prone to scratching.

You can shower and swim with this watch. People shower, swim and even dive with the F91W which is only water resistant.
