Great one. Like your way of illustration and the realizing of your thoughts
Alternate Ending: (No offense to the artists ending, I just had a funny idea :^D )
Jess: *goes back to the store the next day*
Barista: "What can I get you?"
Douchbag Tom: "The usual." *winks at Jess* "Hey, I've been thinking, how 'bout we go out to one of your favorite places after?"
Jess: "I don't think so. Besides: *throws coffee on douchebag Tom* The coffee's on you."
*Turns back to the barista* "I think I'll have a latte today instead."
Barista: "Oh, finally letting go of the old favorite?"
Jess: *giggles* can't keep up the same routine forever. I think I'm ready for something new."
The End :3
Im probably too late for this, but I would kill for a little crow buddy right now.
Lowkey rooting for the guy who remembered her favorite coffee

I was hoping she will be with him cuz I ship❤️

Yeah me, too.
But I'm glad they didn't go that route.
She learned to let go of her feelings on her own instead doing it by getting a new person to love. This happens as well and I'm glad they displayed it like this for a change =)

side note: i love when the bird is just vibing and dancing on her head while she’s brushing her teeth or working
Right like he's just getting down dancing around on her head 😂
Honestly I would keep it as a pet and Just be in my head wherever I go lmao
Minecraft
What if you, wanted to brush your teeth, but bird/metaphor for a bad break up said “Get up on the floor!”
@@belgainwafflehead5686 woah thanks I never knew the bird was a metaphor for a bad breakup. (not being sarcastic)
I just noticed that she goes through the 5 stages of grief:
Denial 0:43
Anger 1:50
Bargaining 3:13
Depression 4:00
Acceptance 5:53
:0
Hah it made me happy now , to believe whatever you go thru, it will take time , but eventually , it all will end :) , stay strong everyone , you will be okay soon , just you need to let go of what happened , forget the past and focus on your present ❤
Yo gaba dabda
Just wanna leave a note that people grieve in very different ways - personal and cultural differences. I think it's positive that the 5 stages have brought grief into a larger conversation about how it's ok for your life to be heavily disrupted by loss, but if you're going through a breakup or loss of a loved one or something else, don't feel bad about how you're not reacting properly, or you should be ok, because it's hard. And it's going to be rough. But you'll get through your own process and it won't hurt as much in the long run.
Yes, the bird is like guiding you to move on from the rejection
The boy and the dog from "Noose" is at the back on 1:45 That just made me smile. I really liked Noose! Also, love this one too!
good eye!! he makes a smol cameo in another spot too if you can find it :-)

4:44 Oh don't mind me, just a regular crow swaying my head back and forth to the music of your inability to move on.
Lol, but it's such a cute crow though.
I love it 🥺
at 4:20 too!
The crow represents sadness or depression anger etc.
This is how my year has turned out. still working on getting rid of my crows but it's going slowly but surely. another great film thank you arrowmi.
thank you!! I'm rooting for you 🙏

Holy, do you think that the creator made the crow personification to repersent sadness and moving on, on purpse, if so they really did their homework! 😄

Someone's probably already mentioned this, but I love the detail of the photo of her and ex bf being removed after the breakup, and slowly being replaced by other photos like her with her friends. It's the little deets (like the boy and the dog from noose showing up) that really make these types of animations shine!
I know the crow is supposed to represent a bad thing, but it's actually kind of cute :c
I agree he a cutie
Just a random guy leaving a comment here.
So I've been suicidal again recently, hence loads of UA-cam watching in the past few months without much socialisation. I was searching 'gay animation' ('cause I'm gay... lol) on UA-cam minutes ago with an expectation to find something similar to 'In a Heartbeat'. Your 'Noose' showed up among the search results and I clicked it - such a coincidence. You said you were working on a new piece in the description of 'Noose' so I came to your channel to check what you've been up to. Coincidentally, you just uploaded this less than an hour ago. It's so funny 'cause I've been missing my ex boyfriend a lot recently. I don't know, it seems that fate brought me to your works.
It seems weird to share my messed up life here but hey... Good job on these two animation pieces, and hope you're having a great day! :) (...me awkwardly leaving the comment section...)
Thanks for stopping by, and sharing a bit about what you're going through. I hope things get better and good things come your way, even if they're simple things like good meals and good music. 加油 !!
Oi look if you want the answer...... look at the animation 'Noose' they made, it helped me with my depression a bit of course it didnt cure it but it helped! I suggest you try watching it!
You know those times when you press read more and regret it? Well this isn't one of them😊
Blaise Walsh Thanks for saying that. I thought we lived in a world where oversharing your personal mess was considered socially inappropriate. I guess not.
Wow
Beautiful! I love that the crow represents the problems of moving on. The more room the crow gives her, the less her ex is on her mind. And in the end she was able to move on. I watched Noose and it had such symbolism as well. Congratulations on your success! Your films are a true beauty of symbolism and art. 💕💗
And she’s happier tooo :)
It also got bigger when they got close and she had a mini mental breakdown
The crow itself is a symbol of bad luck but also symbolises change (emotionally or spiritually) 😄 I think
For some reason I kept thinking she would befriend the crow and actually want it around ha ha, I kept waiting for her to start petting it and stuff
Yeah same, welp, the story is still great though!
Late to the party, I’m sure, but I can’t be the only one who thought it was sweet that after all that time the barista knew what her regular coffee was.
0:28 EXCUSE ME, YOU CAN'T JUST SAY YOU WANT TO BREAK UP AND LEAVE SO CASUALLY! XD
Who else wants the bird and girl to be best friends :>
I second it
I agree 100%
First of all, you’re missing the point. The bird is there to remind the girl of her past relationship which wasn’t a good one, and now the bird seems to keep its distance from her afterwards, meaning the bird (aka reminder of her past relationship) doesn’t matter to her anymore.
haha yes!
Well, I've got a vaguely related video for you: ua-cam.com/video/_Cik9-3qsPY/v-deo.html
1:13 those pics with him really show how long they've been together, so their connection must have been very deep
2:00 did anyone noticed the pear computer🤣
I love how easy it is to understand what's going on, and that the message is really clear. I don't think anyone had to go to the comments to see what the 'hidden' message was. The bird is a really clever idea and perfect symbolism. Well done!
Ironically my parents did not understand the film/metaphor when I showed it to them and said it was hard to understand 😂 so thank you for this comment I really appreciate it :'D
@@arrowmi Really? Parents never understand x,D
Good thing the description came in handy for me lol@@arrowmi
“Coffee is on mee”
Good. Girl yeet the coffee in his FACE.
I hope nexttime your break up with a guy he does that to you.
@@alexforce9 Well I’m a lesbian so.
@@nicolaberry9550 Well...then the next girl you break up wih lmao. That would be even better.
@@alexforce9 Lmao okay thanks. Just making sure that when you insult me you’re at least doing it right y’know lmao?
@@nicolaberry9550 Im not trying to inslut you. My point is pretty simple - its not ok to act up on someone out of pain.
This perfectly describes the feeling. I recently got broken up with and they always pop back into my mind. The crows pesters me all day and I have genuinely yelled out for the thoughts to leave me alone. This really captures that feeling, very well done
I love the symbolism of her getting a different coffee than her usual relates to getting over her persistent thought about her ex boyfriend.
I also love how when she sees him, the bird pops up for a little bit, but isn't as much as a nuisance as it was before.
This was SO GOOD!!!! The animation was nice, the voice acting was good, and the message and story were outstanding!!!!! Keep doing your amazing work!!!
2:31, the trees are a piece of REAL ART
I love the video and the backgrounds.
I can't help but feel like the crow is symbolic for intrusive thoughts. Constantly following you, shooting loud words to quickly ruin your mood, sometimes they're so loud that its painful and feel like they're pecking at your head. Notice how when she starts feeling happier the crow isn't there, or it's in the background (almost as if to represent that even in your happy moments the thoughts are still playing in the back of your mind, even if you don't see it) but when she sees her ex at 5:25, the crow comes right back perched on her head.
4:53 you cannot tell me that that isn't the saddest things you've seen in a while
He was just left alone in the cold, really got me :,
😭 that’s sad… my bird died today
3:54 for a moment i thought she would stomp on it
Same
4:20 I want what that bird is having
3:03 the voices in my head telling me to shit in the urnials
Finally something about break ups where the solution isn't to get in a rebound relationship 👌 (seriously I saw her talking to the guy at the coffee shop at the end going "oh no...")
The details even the smallest ones really hit well for this! From the progression of the bird’s behavior, the changing of the photos on the side of the dresser- the fact an Americano can end up as a bitter drink, because it’s espresso + hot water, a good mirror to her emotions about the breakup, but then she orders a Latte, which is a sweet drink, consisting of steamed milk and foam with the espresso, which could show that in a way she’s returned to a ‘sweeter’ and happier point in her life- which while might be a stretch, is another small detail that did catch my interest! Keep up the good work.
1:04 How I wake up every morning
I saw that noose reference in the back of the bus!!
good eye!!
3:15 wow this is exactly how I feel when I have intrusive thoughts damn...
The voices in your head when you get told to shit in the urinals
So beautiful!
I think the bird was something to keep always thinking about the bad thing (between her and i think her ex) and she couldn't live propley with that but then she decides to distract her mind and live better with the"stress'
Atleast that's my theorie but realy i love it! Truely a masterpiece! ^^
It's in the description
I also interpret the crow as a bad thing in general - in my case depression. The protagonist's journey with the crow reminds me of my own dealings with depression - sometimes it just watches from the window while you have fun, other times it nests on your head and pecks repeatedly
1:50 oh my god! the anxiety crocodile from In Between is on the calendar! :D
Ok, not going to lie though, the crow is really cute and derpy.
I love how the bird is just kinda chilling out at the end..
2:13 ah yes I paused at the most beautiful moment anyone and witness
I didn’t expect any dialogue in this so I was just as surprised as her when the dude said “I think we should break up”
The crow is literally my favorite character XD
4:30 she is programmer 😍
I remember hearing something about how every 7-10 years every cell in your body is replaced with a new one. If it gives you any comfort, know that some day you’ll be completely rid of somebody hurting you or anything else. Know that it’ll get better.
ok ik the crow is some sort of symbolism or metaphor, but he’s lowkey kinda cute 🥺
This reminds me of the short "in between". I love how people are representing different mental stages with living things. Keep up the good work!
This really summed up last year for me. A nasty breakup and a hella long time of healing. I love how accurate this short film is. It really captures the portrayal of grief and heartbreak so well. You did an amazing job. Please keep up the good work.
I JUST FOUND ANOTHER EASTER EGG
WHEN SHES LOOKING AT THE COFFEE SHOP AT TGE MONOLOGUE OF HER IGNORING THE BIRD THE BIY FROM NOOSE IS IN THE COFFE SHOP!!!
YOU CAN SEE HIM IN THE RIGHT WINDOW
4:04
The bird: * Bobin' its head *
My brain almost instantly: Yooooo, what music you listenin' to?
this was a great way to represent dealing w/ a break-up, the consequential depression that may follow, and learning to break the potential routines youve had w/ your ex and letting go as you go about a new routine and niche for yourself. yea you may not be able to always keep him/her out of your mind, but you will be able to eventually move on and heal. you won't be a single forever, there is that special someone for you out there. and, if you dont feel like dealing w/ relationships at all anymore, thats ok too...theres nothing wrong w/ being single and doing what you want to do without a SO and/or kids in your future
This crow be vibing on her and the crow is just adorable lol
Phenomenal work :)! Amazing storytelling in such a short time ^^.
Loved the detail on the bag strap as she was running! Great stuff
I really liked and appreciated this short film. Sometimes it really is hard to move on from a relationship, especially if you're the one being dumped or told that they don't feel the same way about you. It hurts. It hurts a lot and this short film really shows that it takes time to move on. People think you should be able to bounce back and move on right away and some people do and can do that, but sometimes it just hurts so much that you need to just try to get over those feelings. You have to learn to live with what happened and accept it before you can move on and change things.
Oh my god i love you short films! They are so great! We need more animations like this instead of the same patterns animation memes! Good job!
I love this,
for months that damn bird for me never left.
now I've moved on its like a weights been lifted off my shoulders, like I can breath.
it's not that we don't care about people it's just,
some times we got to learn to let things go that are no longer good for us.
it's hard at first but with time and patience eventually we all move on.
no hard feelings on anyone, it's just part of life.
You are lucky,
The woman I gave my heart and innocence to raped me and abused me both mentally and physically for months, she abandoned me while making me cry every night but I just loved her so much that even now that we've broke up 7 months ago I still miss the affection... And I can't seem to enjoy being around couples without being reminded of my bad experience at first love
I hope you know that you are very lucky to just, move on

This truly deserves so much more love. The animation is amazing and the thought behind the characters and storytelling is so great. I love how even when she betters herself, she still has the crow. It’s like the fact that it’s still with her is letting her grow and be happy even with those bad reminders of the past. Absolutely phenomenal. I really hope to be as good as you one day :)

You had me at first line! Classic brutal truth of real reality at it's finest! Bravo!
Thank you so much for this! You put this particular feeling into art.
As to now, finally moved on and found happiness and love within myself but I can't say that whenever I'd see/hear/smell something that remind me of them it wouldn't cause a bit of a tinge feeling of pain in my chest.. You wouldn't believe how many nights I've stayed up through all before just because of reminiscing and trying to understand what went wrong..Though the best thing is being able to remind yourself that nostalgia is a filthy thing that makes you think things were better before than the real deal and that relieved me of the pain that haunted me of my numerous what if's and why not's.
It's important to know that:
Self indulgence, happiness and love is so much better if you give it time, and those will give and reassure you the strength you're always had, with or without them.
This beautifully well animated artwork was taken as a sign that we're all heading the right direction.
Thank you, for giving all of a us an understanding or closure of this feeling so that we can accept it as a normal part of us.
Thanks for taking the time to write me such nice comments (both here and on the soundtrack), and sharing a bit of your own story! Really glad my work could connect with you and you're doing better within yourself ^^
This is so beautiful!
Why does it only has like..1k views??
This is a MASTERPIECE!!
After a turmoil of a couple of years, I can finally understand this particular stuff of letting go. The best part is that it didn't show if she found him right or wrong or something but just focused on herself and her routine and feelings because (not necessarily him but) the other person also has genuine reasons and sometimes we're just now able to ignore their needs so we just don't want to blame them. It does happen sometimes and the best way out is to simple focus on ourselves. We'll move on and be happy.
oh my
what a sudden turn of events
5:25 and so on was so Beautiful it gave me butterflies☺️
I loved how you paid tribute to the "In between" short film. Great work!
This concept's really similar to another animated short film called "in between" by Gobelins
"A young woman is being followed by a crocodile who represents her shyness. As he makes her life a living hell, she tries every means to get rid of him." - description on video.
Basically anxiety personified by a crocodile.
Can I just say that this actually made me cry?? Just tears of laughter, sorrow, and especially happiness to find that in the end she was able to let go and move on to better things. This was a masterpiece 😭💖
I like how this story didn't show her getting happy again after finding "the right one" Or her ex regretting his decision.... This facts made this story more realistic
That's just amazing!! Congrats for your incredible work!!:)
Bruh this deserves soo much more attention! Everything is so well done!!
I thought the bird was really cute even if it represented the memory of her ex
Or it was helping her move on I think it’s that one
It’s finally here!! I love your work and I’m so excited that this project finally came out ♥️♥️ can’t wait to see what else you’ll make in the future
thank you so much wahhh 8v8
So good! Loved it ❤! The development of the character is great.
Gosh it made my cry, it's so accurate. Great work!
I like it. cute.
I kind of wish at someone point she just started crying and simply pet and befriended the crow, as if to symbolize accepting and making peace with her new reality, rather than forgetting what happened or not thinking about it anymore. Maybe this could've happened at night and then when she woke up, the crow was gone!
Love the detail in the little photos by the bed and how they change throughout the video.
I want to thank you for making this animation... Truly, is just like a reflection to myself when I see it.. And it's like a start of Closure to make for me as I guess now! Thanks a lot for this reminder, it really help me out now 😊
Everything about this is amazing. The animation/art. The voice acting. The story. I love it.
This needs way more attention!! It's so adorable!
This was recommended to me and I’m glad. It was nicely done with a great message; I’m sure it helped a lot of people to take that step to get rid of their own crows.✨
