[LG Washer & Washer-Dryer] How to replace the drum light

My WM4200HBA unfortunately is not equipped with a drum a light. However, it appears there is a removable plastic plug in the rubber surround where the drum light would typically be. If I purchased the drum light (EAQ61400802) and what I believe is the correct harness (6877ER1016Y), is there any way to make this work on my model? Comparing to the WM8900HBA which comes with the drum light, it looks like holding the Signal button is used to activate the light. Despite my model not including the light text on the button, I'm curious if it's the same controller/programming and just the wiring and light hardware is missing.

Good try, but it will not work since you also require the correct PCB + software to make sure the light is activated.

That's the stupidest thing I have ever seen. All of this for a light bulb replacement 😨

Well, you are right. However, since from European Eco design directives it's a requirement to have instructions on how to replace light sources, we figured it would be good to make such video. On the other hand, it will indeed normally not be needed since the life span of the light source is typically much longer than the product itself.
