I was like, oh, NOW I get it. Now I get why people love this song and her voice. My favorite part is her pitch change at the last round of the chorus. Love that part.
The lead singer-Linda. Perry- has become a rock pop music maestro, penning hit songs for Pink ("get the party started") , christina Aguilera("beautiful"), no doubt, etc

It's funny. I had never heard of this group or the song before last weekend. My son was playing it at his house and it definitely caught my attention! I like it!
There is a lot of great music that isn’t all about the lyrics but the the lead singers voice being another instrument. This has great lyrics I get but if I did not it would still be a great song. This song is awesome to be in the car driving to.

YES! "heyyeyey" at the top of our lungs! Man, this came out while I was I employed at my first full-time job after highschool-a desk job in a call center at a bank... A bit annoyed that I had to wear stockings every day (can't stand the things), hair and makeup had to be perfect and I could never get my hair perfect....and no amount of Aqua Net or Rave would hold it (seemed to for everyone else I knew 😂). I was so self-conscious and afraid of others' opinions of me, going off into the adult working world. This was my f..k it song. 😊
I loved this song. Back in 1993 every morning I would go to the beach in Ocean City, Nj. and as I would sit and on the beach enjoying the view of the waves crashing, the seagulls as the glided over the coastline and the skyline get brighter and change colors as the sun rose over the horizon this song would come on the radio. This song brings me back to that special place and time.

Any song that has the word " Peculiar " in it and is a song that is known by millions of people around the world, you know its a great song :D
This song came out when i was in my 20's, loved it then, love it now, its one of those songs that brings back a happy carefree time, always gives me a smile.
Owned this it came out. Singer, lead guitar, rock. Great sounding band
She's got pipes.
Linda Perry worked with Pink on her second album Missundaztood and wrote Get The Party Started and has a feat. with Pink on the song Lonely Girl. He also worked with Christina Aguilera on his album Stripped and wrote Beautiful.
A friend introduced me to this in college back in the '90s. Been on my playlist since.
I was working an overnight shift, listening to the radio, and this song came on. Blew me away, but the dj didn't give out any follow-up information. So i called the radio station, and he answered. Gave me the details, and i bought the CD the next day. It's a great album, and still one of my favorite songs! ❤🎵 ❤ Great review, thanks!
So many flash backs to the early 90s. Such an important songwriter too.
Good Morning (well it is in UK) 😃. Love Linda..love this.. always have done. I love your videos..but I must look at your playlists...I'm so addicted to watching your reactions lol. Thank you. 😊x
Ive heard this song a lot in my teens and 20s but I never really paid attention to it. It randomly came up on my phone as I washing dishes and I was all, okay Ill listen to it. I was like, oh, NOW I get it. Now I get why people love this song and her voice.
My favorite part is her pitch change at the last round of the chorus. Love that part.
Love this whole CD. Thanks for playing this. I don’t think this band gets enough credit for this album. Very talented.
The lead singer-Linda. Perry- has become a rock pop music maestro, penning hit songs for Pink ("get the party started") , christina Aguilera("beautiful"), no doubt, etc
This song come out after I had graduated and the music started to change, I’m one of those that had a hard time with the change of the music but this song was one that I really liked.
What a dynamic voice.
Loving your reaction. I agree 100% with you. This song came to me at a difficult time in my life....all I remember saying was "what's going on". Then I heard this on the radio. It became something I could relate to or pray for. That's what music is like for me. I want to feel what your singing. If they are a good singer you'll feel their vibe. Prayers renaissance!
Thanks for the reaction. Takes me right back to Jr. High. I was a jock and a metal head. Although I still loved this song; there was something about it that made me feel vulnerable inside. Thanks for the memories!
Music brings EVERYBODY together when your a musician like me play by ear you feel the music and lyrics not just listening. You my friend have the gift God bless you.
"Hey yea, yea yea yea yea yeah! what's goin on?" I love this part
Glad you found this one! I'm almost sixty, and this is one of my favorite pop songs from the last couple of decades.
🎵 As Carl Douglas of "Kung Fu Fighting", famously said of his one hit record. "A one hit wonder, but what a hit!" 🎵
I remember when i use dress like that..combat boots..flannel shirts...i was a grunge girl in 90s. This song is the 90S. I still wear combat boots..lol
Like so many awesome 90s songs, this one got me through hours, days, weeks, months, years, tedious data entry jobs in my 20s before I finally went back to graduate school. Loved the song.
This song takes me right back to my senior year of high school.
Linda Perry is the epitome of awesome!!!
Always felt it was highly underrated so I'm glad you took a listen. So easy to get lost in. God bless you as well.
man I love her voice and this song is still one of my faves and I'm nearly 60. I'm just afraid the best music is behind me and not more to come
I loved this song.
Omg I LOVE this song, I was pregnant with my first son(he’s 26 now)when it came out in the uk!
There was a blues artist named Leadbelly. All i recommend is you or anyone who wants to view his song lists and decide which one you choose to react to. Thanks, I love watching your channel.
I just love this girl one of the best voices ever and I just love her style great song great lady
One of the great songs that define the sound of the 90s.
The singer Linda Perry has had a very successful career with writing songs for other artists
My mom used to listen to this song in the car back in the early 2000s when I was just a little boy and I didn’t hear it ever again until just last year during guitar class when someone recommended it for us to play and now I listen to it almost everyday even though I’m into oldies country western music cause it reminds me of my childhood
Amazing song! I remember hearing it on the radio all the time. Went to my grandmother's house and my little cousin kept singing it non stop
I always find this song so moving. This woman, with her giant mouth, can really belt it out.
I spent a lot of quarters playing this song on the jukebox at a bar I went to back in the 90"s. One of my favorites.
One of the female singers from this group is Partners / married to Sara Gilbert, who plays Darlene on Roseanne.
Yah linda
RIP....to lady drummer
Linda wrote "A Letter To God". You will like it, also Spaceman (actually she has several really good songs).
Oh wow! I love this song, but didn't know who sang it or the title 😊 she's a great singer 👍 good reaction & comments Ty 😁 she reminds me of Patty Smythe, her style of singing 👍💚 beautiful lady and strong and powerful voice 🙂
I still love that song. My dad and I met her in San Francisco one time when we went to get tattoos. She was really cool.
My favourite song she wrote and sang is Letters To God. Amazing songwriter, artist and humanitarian.
That was my favourite wake-up song in the 90's and Naughties 😁
Linda Perry in an awesome singer, songwriter. she wrote a lot of songs for Pink and she wrote Beautiful by Christina Aguilara. she wrote a lot of great songs. watch her "Behind the music" bio. was really interesting.
Great tune. As I scream at the top of my lungs "What's goin on".
For years this was probably the #1 karaoke song in nearly every bar.

miss him...we grew up together...treat every day as your last. First time here and I thank you.
That's one of those songs performers save for the end of the set, 'cause after this one your voice is shot.
Linda Perry amazing voice ,out there :)but very talented classically trained .
used to hear it on the radio and listen with my family. reminds me of my dad, he liked it. he abandoned us around the time this song came on the radio
Wow sorry to hear that. I know what it like though.
A powerful voice and a great song.
I love the part that you're speaking on. It has a positive vibe , that there is hope.
They didn’t do a lot of songs but she became a prolific song writer,
Ty! Try "Joey", by Concrete Blondes! '"the Ancient Rocker"
The vampire song is so much better.
Love the song 'Joey'
I perform like a rock star when this song comes on! ❤😂❤
I was in high school or maybe at uni. Listening to American top 40 every week in my parents house with my brothers.
BTW I sang this song at my birthday last year replacing her 25 years with my 45 years.
