What a great film, way to go Josh, I like that you conveyed the complexities of a daughter trying to live up to a legacy and find her own way during this dangerous situation. Kudos to the cast and crew for top notch performances, lighting, sound, camera work and of course editing/post production. Glad to see you are keeping my good friend Frank Parker off the streets by keeping him gainfully occupied!
Thank you😇 This is the best Star Trek show I have seen since I was watching after school in the late 1970s. It felt like I was watching it again for real😍
Such a wonderful, thoughtful, thought provoking, inspiring, powerful, beautiful episode of trust, faith, compassion, kindness, courage, nobility, honor, & one of friendship & hope. I’m literally crying here!! This has touched my heart. Thank you all for once again showing us we all don’t have to be enemies, & for showing us Gene Roddenberry’s vision of peace & hope!! This is why I love your channel’s wonderful content. Please…more of these fantastic episodes!! (Wiping my eyes…)
Rick Cole: I knew there's a Fan Film coming out Saturday, this one I'd heard of and forgot when it would release, at any rate it's a great Friday morning surprise, thank you all, great job in every way, super story and acting by all, loved the Captain and #1, they are super actors, thank you all for your time participating with this super Fan Film
The story was so much better than I expected based on being on set. I could not understand the story with the Romulan’s from just being on set or context of what was going on set of the bridge from seeing the set. But as a whole this was a great story.
This is simply good stuff! All the way around, the special effects, the acting, the characters. Better than most of the most recent shows on Paramount. I enjoy that it’s short, only 20 minutes and more can be built of each episode
I had no idea this was coming out. The effects, sets and costumes are amazing. The captain is actually stunning. First officer is a bit odd, but no big deal. That aside, I would still recommend this new show. Thanks and well done...I felt a need to tweak my comment. I don't know much about casting these fan productions.
🖖😎👍Very totally cool and very nicely greatly fabulously wonderfully well done and executed in every detail way shape and format provided by you one and all indeed, A very nicely spectacular job greatly well done indeed!👌.
Sweet. What I think would be cool is, the next episode has The Excalibur finding a file that refers to one of the Original 7 (*coff*3rd or 4th*coff*) Doctors of Doctor Who. Granted it's Discretionary only. But still think it would be a cool little tidbit.
I also wanted to add this. I like the going to warp effect in this and some other fan films out there that did this. I really wish that they had done it on the remastered original Star Trek series. It looks a lot better in the flow of things.🙂🖖
Sensors will be useless. Well go to the shuttle bay and look out of the hanger doors! Hey, the series never seemed to think about that so I don't blame you guys. Well produced, well acted, well written (not overly complex), and the effects were great. The Excalibur looks superb.
I like the Screenplay very much. The DP is nice but the editing give me some troubles about the direction whats happend. I think the acting from the Number One is a little but too much. I have problems with original music but i can understand why creators use it. The VFX are realy great. I realy like this movie very much.
I really enjoyed the episode and I look forward to seeing more only one slight negative comment I think number one should complain to the ship's laundry because they did a very bad job laundering her uniform top I don't think it would pass inspection🤔🤭👍👏😊
What are you talking about? Her uniform isn't dirty. The only difference is that she's wearing Velour, and everyone else is wearing double knit. That's the costume that fit her.
Not that the XO wasn't wholly wrong, but calling out your Captain's First name when on duty? I'm reminded of that TNG scene between Data and Worf during that Pirate episode. There's a time and a place to be raising concerns. Otherwise, good episode.
It is established military procedure but then we should remember the times that Spock called Kirk "Jim" at times when he wanted to convey his message in a more personal and / or grounded way. So I would say, yes it happens but use sparingly so that when it's used it has the fullest impact.
Do you have permission from Avalon Fan Films to copy their films? Or from the other fan films? You don't mention them here in the info box or anywhere else? In the credits you can still see in which universe the whole thing is set.
We collaborated, all good!! In fact since this is an anthology film belonging to "Tales From The Neutral Zone" we need permission to run their film on our channel haha. Which we have.
They don't really take these kind of submissions, and have a lot of shows planned. But, look at it this way, CBS/Paramount give us the grace to make these fan films, when they don't have to. So in a way, you do have them to thank for giving you something that you like. 🙂
Thumbs down, too many women on the bridge. It would be great if it was more realistic with men making the decisions and women in the background in supporting roles.
This is good. You guys did a great job on this episode on Tales from the Neutral Zone. Tell me there is more to come? I can wait.

The lighting on set was great.

Nice job! Impressive, most impressive. Stellar acting people and to the Special Effects crew marvelous work. 🖖

Great job to all involved!!!
Lots of hard work and dedication...and it shows!
What a great episode. Better all the time.
My wife and I have worked on small productions and what you have produced is on par with substantial budget productions ! Great Work!!
Awesome!!!! I feel like I'm back in 1966 again 😊😊😊
Thank you! Definitely what we were going for.
One of the best ever
Wow! This was a great episode. I swear y'all are getting better and better. In my opinion this is better than any official Trek being put out.
The story was so much better than I expected based on being on set. I could not understand the story with the Romulan’s from just being on set or context of what was going on set of the bridge from seeing the set. But as a whole this was a great story.
Ahh the turbolift changed directions! Nice touch
Great job guys! Keep them coming!

Paramount is like a corporate chain restaurant.
Really enjoyed this one. One of the best ive seen.
A true Star Trek episode. Awesomeness!
very cool !!!! love the vibe :) thanks !
The visuals look fantastic
This is very good I enjoyed this very much. Keep up the good work. Looking forward to seeing many more of these.
Nice Nod to Archer , and Good Switch around with the Crew Very Good Story Thank You ;
Outstanding!💯❤️
Very enjoyable . thank you
wow! excellent job.
Very well done and a great story!
Fantastic job thanks for making this
The whole thing- excellent 👍👍
I love the final scene in the Captains quarters. I feel like that scene was one that made the most sense even on set and holds up emotionally.
I had no idea this was coming out. The effects, sets and costumes are amazing. The captain is actually stunning. First officer is a bit odd, but no big deal. Its a fanfilm. Sometime "casting" is more an "coincidence"
Caitlyn is a good friend of mine. And actually, The First Officer is the antagonist of the film. Having her be off-putting a bit was what I wanted.
I like how this First Officer keeps the Captain grounded. Plus she is kind of cute.
Great work!
This was sweet.
Great job everybody!!!
Love it! A great story, well directed and acted. Keep it up!
Nicely done.

MORE MORE MORE. Least this looks like StarTrek thank you.
GREAT
That was excellent !!!
This was damn good! I really enjoyed it!

I can see either of them saying "Oh dear, I don't think I am supposed to be here." But then still getting involved.
Great job as always
Great Job! Good episode. I've been looking forward to this. And to the next one.....
A (nearly) all-Female bridge crew?
SIGN ME UP!!!!!!
"No matter how you started, you deserve to command that ship"
I couldn't agree more.
One of the best episodes, awesome job everyone!!!
Starfleet could sure use more officers like her....she took a gamble and won, for both sides.
What if she lost that gamble..... then millions could have died. A typical Star Trek conundrum.
maybe in some alt trekerverse that reality played out
the black guy was Masada on the Constellation in the prequel to the doomsday machine, which was awesome!
Louis is a fantastic Actor! It's always a no brainer to have him in a film.
This is a great flick no matter what the self important gatekeepers say.
Fan Trek is the only Trek now
A new movie nice. We want to see more.
More is coming!
GREAT JOB ON THE VIDEO.
I also wanted to add this. I like the going to warp effect in this and some other fan films out there that did this.

I just love a beautiful woman in uniform ! Great episode also. I just love the first officers expressions in every episode.
Awesome! One of my favorite fan films. Canon.
This was good , please tell me you are making more.
We are making more. 🙂

Thank you to our friends from Germany for supporting us! We appreciate you!
@@joshuairwin2016 Everytime!!!
Fabfrigentastic!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Greatly appreciated!
Very nice ! Is this the doomed USS Excalibur ? Sad.
Doomed? Not at all. This is after her resurrection.
@@joshuairwin2016 Oh good. Thanks very much !
I see Jussie Smollett finally found work.
😆
Is war the only theme fan films of Star Trek can be about?
This film is about peace.
Go away

Was about the collar looking like it was all stretched out of shape

Otherwise, good episode.
Chakotay did it with Janeway on a few occasions when things were getting out of hand.
@@joshuairwin2016 Again, time and a place. And that's NOT on the Bridge.
@@kadindarklord That's your Opinion. Chakotay did it on the Bridge in several Voyager Episodes.
It is established military procedure but then we should remember the times that Spock called Kirk "Jim" at times when he wanted to convey his message in a more personal and / or grounded way. So I would say, yes it happens but use sparingly so that when it's used it has the fullest impact.
@@markc7440 She only did it once. Again Chakotay did it ON THE BRIDGE.
🥹👏👏👏👏🤌
Do you have permission from Avalon Fan Films to copy their films? Or from the other fan films? You don't mention them here in the info box or anywhere else? In the credits you can still see in which universe the whole thing is set.
This was a joint Neutral Zone Studios/Avalon Universe project.
We collaborated, all good!! In fact since this is an anthology film belonging to "Tales From The Neutral Zone" we need permission to run their film on our channel haha. Which we have.
Hello. Have you thought about submitting this idea to the CBS Network?
CBS isn't interested in making good Trek.
They don't really take these kind of submissions, and have a lot of shows planned. But, look at it this way, CBS/Paramount give us the grace to make these fan films, when they don't have to. So in a way, you do have them to thank for giving you something that you like. 🙂
if you are going to do old Trek, it needs to have a classical style. Do something with the hair!
I think I'll make the film the way I choose to make it. But thank you for watching it.
Thumbs down, too many women on the bridge. It would be great if it was more realistic with men making the decisions and women in the background in supporting roles.
I wrote this movie for my daughter.
All woke cast hm🤔👎
What was woke about it?
DEI inspired. Hard pass.
WTF?
This is a film written by a father, to tell his daughter she can be anything in life she sets her mind to.
@@joshuairwin2016 Yeah. HARDLY 'DEI'!
