The whole time I was watching I was like.. wow that course looks so familiar for some reason. Turns out that’s where Naia nationals was back in 2015! Very nostalgic, I remember the downhill being crazy steep people were toppling over each other!
Looked like a fun course nice race. Last year as a freshman in high school I ran 21:28 COVID had me lacking This year as a sophomore I ran 18:02.4 I think this is solid improvement from last year Next year as a junior my goal is 16:11.9 cause my school record is 16:12. (I need to lose 5 pounds get abs and train flexibility cause I can barely touch my toes lol) Then as a senior I want to get 15:59 and go as far down as possible. Those are just my goals hopefully I can get them.
I ran this course this year as a 3K because I am in middle school, that one hill was near the finish. You made it seem so easy but when I ran it I absolutely died.
Awesome race! I put in work over the summer and extremely suprised when I smashed my goal of a sub 20 minute 5k with my first race of the season. Going into the season my previous pr was a 20:24 and I got a 19:31! Watching these videos are awesome because I can definitely relate and take some training tips away from it! Thank you for making these amazing videos! You will for sure get sub 17 next time😁 so close😬
I just started my first year of high school cross country, it’s nothing like my 8th grade when I first started, well anyways I had a fear of having to do a 5k because I thought I’d get into the 30 minutes, but my first one this season was a 24:35, I was so happy I got that. My friend (who I didn’t expect to join cross country with me) got a 26:57, but now after almost completing the season we brought our PRs down by a lot, he got his 27min run to a 21:27 and I brought mine down to a 21:59, hard sub 22 which I was definitely not expecting, I wish you the best of luck at at least getting to the 18:XX soon (;
I've never been one to sprint off the line. Last race I didn't even surge for the start, and started out in the back. I was midpack by 400m and in the race by a mile. I was still able to clinch the W, running even splits +/- 2. It baffles me how quick some people start their races
I have an 8k and I’m aiming for low 30min at least because I have Plica in my left knee and it gets inflamed but I’m hoping to do well in my race this friday
Yes Sir Tyler Speers! Also I have an idea for how you can run a new 5k PR. Since watching your videos, I've seen you dominate in your workouts when your running on ash-fault, but on the track, you it seems that you don't run as well as you would want. So to get that new 5k PR, run a time trial on a flat ash-fault path and I bet you'll be able to smash your 5k PR!
I wish I could be competing right now, but I have a stress fracture. When I came into practice with a boot everyone flipped out saying they lost one of the faster girls 😂
My best was an 18:26 with no training the coaches said "ok today are three mile time trial" and my splits were 1 mile (5:34) 2 mile (12:02) last mile was slow (18:26) but not bad for me being in 7th grade
In my first ever crosscountry race I was in 3rd place but then I was sick and fell behind everyone passed me and I ended up coming 38th my fault I was dumb and had an enormous breakfast and chocolate
I can stop running now. I made it into a Tyler Speers video.
Let go
5:37 wow I've never heard a gun that sounds like a air horn xD.
For this video, I tried to tune back the intense editing a bit... let me know if you like this style or the over-edited style more!
hi tyler!
Didn’t notice a difference. They both good 🙌
Awesome race!
I can definitely notice a difference, either one is good but I prefer this style more
I had Champs today for cross country in middle school and got a 12:58 2 mile. It is my pr by 45 seconds.
Do whatever you like to do more, my guy. Share your story how you want to. F everyone else 🤙🏻
Heading to Eugene tomorrow with Zach Levet… bangers OTW 😤
Yay
I was the guy who said “woah ur Tyler speers”. I’m so happy you uploaded. Nice job in the race and good luck for the rest of the season!
How do we know? If you are that guy make a video for proof
Okay it I you

This is the first video of yours I’ve watched. Thought I was going to see you run a godly time 😂
Still enjoyed the vid though.
You inspire me a lot to be good a xc. I prd on Saturday for 17:07 for a 5k and I’m only a sophomore. Keep uploading :D
