How is that a roast though I'm generally curious? Cause it's like "oh if this guy does something that is really difficult then he will do something good! *Roast scream* OOOHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH" Like I'm just confused XD
Recently started watching you. I'm also diabetic, I usually try to keep myself at low to mid 200s before a race, 365 would definitely make that race tough. Good Job!
We all have bad races Tyler, but keep your head up! Look how far you've come dude, from wanting to break 17 and now your goal is to break 16! You've come so far and I'm super glad to have watched you on your journey so far. Work on that mental grind, mental strength is KEY. You have to speed to break 16:30 easy I know it. Your not slow, your just getting started! And hey, a 1 second PR is still a PR, great work dude just build off of this.
I'm gonna try running a 5k for the first time in a day or 2 and all this content is really inspiring, especially knowing I'm probably gonna actually take close to 30 minutes lol
Great job man, just keep grinding your mileage. I was in the same boat as you (actually 22:09), but I grinded mileage throughout my track season, and was able to cut down to 19:16 (for now). You can definitely get sub 20
@@u1tra_p0wer52 Thanks! Since i made this comment i got a 21:32 5k, and later i got a 1:38 Half Marathon and 44:12 10k, both of which predict my 5k time to be around 21 low. Now i'm aiming to get that 5k time under 20 before the end of 2023.
@@u1tra_p0wer52 Thank you! Since this comment i improved hugely, and last week i ran my first sub-20 at 19:52! I also got a 10k pr of 42:53 2 months ago, so the sub-40 is my next big goal.
Back in the mid 80`s when I was 25 I ran a 35:28 10k while training for a spring Marathon. I did not taper much for the race. It ended up being my PR for 10k. Sometimes I wonder if I tapered and ran a track race for a 10,000m could I have run faster and if so by how much?. I guess I will never know because now I`m 64. I was wondering in general are your faster 5k and 10k times come from track racing rather then road racing.. Thanks. Enjoy the videos keep it going.
Mind-blowing speed dude! My 5K PR is 17:33 as a 51 year old - keep pushing! Very inspiring!
That's an awesome 5K time for that age sir, you got my respect 👍
Summer Miles bring Fall Smiles 😎

Looking forward to your 12:34 5km once you get back from your summer training!
Or 11:59 :D
"If Austin hangs with me hes gonna PR in the mile" 😂😂😂 im dead

Would you like me to arrange your funeral?
LOL

@@BweygI think it’s just meant to be a friendly “I can hold your mile pace for a 5k” but either way big W if my man is pushing himself
This video is pushing me through my last class period of the day 🙌
4:34 😂 my exact reaction after all my races

Hey Tyler, i've been reviewing many VT dorm vids and most of them said they had no AC, is this a common problem?
Good job man
Dude would have broke 35 if he didn't change his shoes
Straight up, but his pace was really dropping running in those spikes so he had to change!!
When the videos 10 minutes long you know it’s fast😂
Good job keep it up
🔥🙌🏽🔥
Wow, was wondering about the hokas
Imagine if it were on a marathon
“Meet Day Meet Day Meet Day “ That’s what she said
Hey I was the Randolph athlete (yellow jersey) in your 5k! Never realized when I was watching your videos that it was you till this one

Not my greatest race

Who’s the giveaway cash winner
Homie has tanks for thighs 💪
What college do you go to
The Hoka simps lol
Why u race in hokas lmao. Woulda been hella faster with proper spikes
For 5k and up, carbon fiber plated shoes are just as good as spikes!! The Rocket Xs are equivalent to Next %s!!
Those are road racing shoes though so u can’t grip the turns that well
We're the nike dragonfly spike's might be good for 5k
