What they show here as "Cahokia" Illinois is in fact the Cahokia Mounds National Park, which is where the Native Americans had a large presence at one time... It is about 10-11 miles North of the town of Cahokia, which borders Alorton, Sauget, and East St. Louis..... These days, locals call it Southern East St. Louis, as it has turned 3rd world dump also.
#1 is HARVEY! 60426, place of my birth back in 1955. My Dad born there in 1930. It was a pleasant place to live with good schools (cranky teachers though), plentiful good paying industrial and technical jobs, and low-ish crime. We walked everywhere. Left in 4th grade. 😊
It doesn't matter but I grew up in Harvey. Dolton , Riverdale. . In Dolton they have a fishing club Piscatters my father was a lifetime member, the club is still there today. Went to the White castle in Blue Island. My mother was a security Guard in Thornton and Thornridge. A lot of the roads you drove on brings back memories I grew up there in the 60s and 70s by 1978 I left joined the Army in Harvey recruiting station. Harvey was pretty bad back then when I left. Most of the residents are Black now. Plus the mayor that was there should be put in jail
They forgot to mention Joliet...it sucks... the jobs all suck...the housing isn't affordable .....homeless people everywhere...why isn't it on this list..it needs to be
There are numerous UA-cam videos just like this one rating the worst cities in Illinois. They all seem to have different cities listed. As a lifelong Illinoisan I can say that downstate Illinois is not a bad place to live. It's like living in Iowa except for the higher taxes.
It’s recovering enough and has harder working people. All these cities are basically extensions of St. Louis 4x crime then Chicago or extension of south side of Chicago ghetto.

I have lived in Oswego for many years, you forget to mention Elgin as well. And Aurora.
Good grief several cities were missed. South Chicago. Frankfurt. Peoria. Decatur is getting bad and all these are DEI areas.
10. Harvard. 9. Centralia. 8. Blue Island. 7. East St. Louis. 6. Hoopeston. 5. Dalton.
4. Riverdale. 3. Cahokia. 2. Markham. 1. Harvey.

Illinois just built a new casino in East Hazel Crest which is right next door to Harvey

I'm surprised that Danville and Rockford aren't on this list...yet. I paused the video 2 minutes short of the end
Chicago is possibly the best city in the United States? Can you say delusional?
Where's Ford Heights at? Should be number 1 in my opinion
There's a couple of them mention like Cicero there's a part of Cicero you wouldn't want to go into it's called Grant works
What is the ethnicity of these areas?
Does it make a difference?

Many Minorities in these cities compared to them 40 years ago. Fact.

I agree, I was born in northwest Illinois and we felt closer to Iowa than Illinois.

South of Chicago
Has this video been done by AI?
Who are these people that sound like a robot? Is this really a real person speaking on this video?
No. It's a robot voice
Mr. A-I
Ironically Rockford is not on the list. It usually is.

By "There's less," he means, in English There are fewer. People who were raised in the quad cities speak English.
The how state you don't want to live
