I think the judge was very clever to “compliment “ this scumbag on his defense of his own case, stating she understood everything he was saying and his points of defense, because she wants to make sure he doesn’t try to have the verdict of guilt vacated in an appeal, with an excuse that he didn’t fairly defend himself. Utopian thinkers would create a world where you're not allowed to confront your accusers and your benevolent overlords in the political system (who they recognize as being a bunch of lying, power-hungry snakes when talking in the general sense; absolutely the kinds of people who would abuse the rules) can just deny you a fair trial by calling you incompetent. This wasn't any kind of failure on the justice system's part. They played by a rulebook that's designed to allow a defendant to escape from under the heel of a club of corrupt politicians, police, judges, and bureaucrats. It's 100% Oneal's fault for thinking that he was going to put on his street preacher persona and yell his way out of this.

I read that it feels like getting burned alive from the inside while unable to move and being at full consciousness. It takes up to 20 min before the prisoner is pronounced deceased in some cases.....so might be worse than the electrical chair .
