What a lot of people don’t notice is that he worked his ass off to get to where he is now. There’s an interview somewhere where you can hear him when he first started singing and he’s gotten so much better
Yup agreed. People always say he's "talented", but that kinda undermines and underestimates the thousands of hours of practice you have to put into guitar and your voice. I'd say he has a talent for writing really good songs with the easiest of chords, but then again that's after years of writing shitty ones.

It hadn’t yet changed and it was something he needed to grow into, but he always had a beautiful natural tone. He certainly paid his dues way more than any of these new artists we’ve been seeing and it shows in his consistent amazing performances. He’s so effortlessly good at what he does, due to natural talent AND hard work.

He has put more work into music than any artist. He wasn’t gifted with a voice, when he was younger he sounded like a dying cow and I actually mean a dying cow. Since he was 9 he started doing music full time. Now he’s where he’s at and has one of the best voices out right now, on top of his engineering/producing, on top of writing his songs and writing a lot of songs for a variety of artists from different genres.. He’s already a legend and he hasn’t even been around that long.

Love Ed, Ok I just noticed something that NONE of you probably noticed. Look at 2:55 (I backed up this a few seconds so you can watch this) watch his Left Foot. That is called muscle memory, his left foot went to do a loop which he does live in concert which is bad ass by the way. He is so freaking talented its crazy. This guy always keeps me coming back to his music. Always gets me back to be in tears for one or another reason. The voice, the guitar skills, the melodies, the lyrics - it all fits so well. May it be a sweet composition like Photograph, or just a simple guitar recording. I can remember how I went to the city with a friend just to buy his first album and how couldn't stop listening for weeks. :) And tbh... I don't like OneDirection and Justin Bieber at all... But for both "Little Things" and "Love Yourself" I immediately had a feeling of sympathy and I was mad at myself for it, but when I found out both were written by/with Ed, I kinda had to smile. Like, _I knew there something about it_. With Little Things I actually immediately thought that it sounded like Ed. The man is a miracle :)

I have seen him sing in person with no microphone... It is just insane.. Blows you away.
He has put more work into music than any artist. He wasn’t gifted with a voice, when he was younger he sounded like a dying cow and I actually mean a dying cow. Since he was 9 he started doing music full time. Now he’s where he’s at and has one of the best voices out right now, on top of his engineering/producing, on top of writing his songs and writing a lot of songs for a variety of artists from different genres.. He’s already a legend and he hasn’t even been around that long.
Ed is my favourite singer, he is just awesome and kind of my idol cause one day I would like to be a musician. Love him so much ❤❤❤❤

Love Ed, Ok I just noticed something that NONE of you probably noticed. Look at 2:55 (I backed up this a few seconds so you can watch this) watch his Left Foot. That is called muscle memory, his left foot went to do a loop which he does live in concert which is bad ass by the way. He is so freaking talented its crazy. But ya, I saw that his left foot was going for the loop station and its not there because its pure acoustic. Thumbs UP if you noticed it or if after reading this you see it.

This guy always keeps me coming back to his music. Always gets me back to be in tears for one or another reason. The voice, the guitar skills, the melodies, the lyrics - it all fits so well. May it be a sweet composition like Photograph, or just a simple guitar recording. I can remember how I went to the city with a friend just to buy his first album and how couldn't stop listening for weeks. :)
And tbh... I don't like OneDirection and Justin Bieber at all... But for both "Little Things" and "Love Yourself" I immediately had a feeling of sympathy and I was mad at myself for it, but when I found out both were written by/with Ed, I kinda had to smile. Like, _I knew there something about it_. With Little Things I actually immediately thought that it sounded like Ed.
