- Today my buddy Jake and I go after one of the best eating fish in the Bay. Even better than rockfish in my opinion! Striped bass season is currently closed for the second half of July so we decided to go after some white perch. Ultra light rods and a big school of fish made for an awesome time! it didn't take us long to fill a cooler with plenty of fish. I hope you all enjoy!

Great video I can’t believe you broke the micro series those are some pretty good rods I have the same setup except I have it paired with the FX 2500 and it’s phenomenal keep up the good work bro I love ultralight fishing for panfish

What type of line were you using?
The rod broke, and you still landed the fish! BTW I agree about spot. They are good eating. Have you gone after bluefish yet?
We have not gone after the bluefish yet this year. They are up around our area so I will hopefully be out for them within the next week!

I love white perch fishing! We have caught them good at the Benedict Bridge.

If you throw the fish into an ice water slurry you’ll get an even better quality meat off those perch.
I will try that! Perch are my favorite Bay fish to eat.
Anyone else mad about the all the weeds in the water this year ? its so bad here in bear creek dundalk every single cast your pulling in a hook full of weeds and not fish, not happy !
