I genuinely think this is the best episode I’ve seen in awhile as a long term fan. Drunk bois are just too funny. Also Connor met garnt thru Sydney since he knew Sydney from voice acting hence why he knew they were dating. At least I remember this from a past episode
I studied Physics at university and can confirm that "they're doing things with stuff" is an accurate description of the LHC/high energy physics generally. Also, Joey mostly got Schrodinger's cat right, but went a bit beyond the scope of the actual thought experiment. It's just a cat in a box with some poison and a single atom of a radioactive element. When the element decays, the poison is released and kills the cat. Before the box is opened (opening the box is equivalent to making a measurement of a quantum system), the wave function of the system is in a superposition of states where the cat is alive and states where the cat is dead. Once the box is opened, the wave function collapses to a pure state (either the cat is dead or the cat is alive). In reality, of course, none of this would actually happen, the cat is either dead or alive regardless of whether you open the box or not because the system in question is too large for quantum effects to be important. It's just an example to try and explain a weird thing that happens at very small scales. The bit about "who determined the system that caused Schrodinger to open the box" bit wasn't part of the original thought experiment, but various philosophers have gone down that rabbit hole.
Yeah Joey had heart, but “If you can't explain it simply, you don't understand it well enough.” as you said, the key thing was to represent super positions in a thought experiment, everything else is tangentially related (methods used on the cat, implications, etc, etc)
exactly, the last part of Joey's explanation is a different topic. its the philosophy of wether or not we have a free will, which isnt about quantum physics.
@@orion10x10 Yeah, as a Physics grad. The philosophy part is important, but the main premise of the thought experiment is designed to represent quantum superposition. Aka, you don't know what state the cat is in until observation. The rest of the thought experiment is far more of an unexplainable mess that means different things to different people (it's philosophy). Important to note that both Garnt and Connor don't have the same experience with Physics that Joey does as they studied engineering (which doesn't cover quantum physics in this detail), explaining it simply is doing a service. They can then build on that later.
This thought experiment was devised by physicist Erwin Schrödinger in 1935 in a discussion with Albert Einstein to illustrate what Schrödinger saw as the problems of the Copenhagen interpretation of quantum mechanics.

Schrodinger's cat is a funny part because it originally was a critique by Schrodinger on Copenhagen's interpretation of quantum mechanics, but people took it seriously and ran with it
Yea it's essentially when kids put their hands over their eyes and think no one sees them. In kitty cat example there never exists a dual state of existence and perception doesn't alter it in any way. It's just one of those "smart" things that dumbasses know.
@@leohuxtable439It's just a tool used to help visualize what an unobserved quantum state would be like in superposition. I don't think anyone is saying the cat in the box is in a superposition if done in real life, it's way too large of a scale
It's to represent super positions, which quantum computers use to hold multiple states simultaneously in a qbit. Joey went the longggg route for explaining aspects of Schrödinger's cat but it's just a thought experiment to represent super positions, explaining super positions is also much more important to understanding it
@@mglikeabossplaysMC In pop physics it's taken very literally. It's referred to as a paradox. The thought experiment is meant to be absurd. It's mocking the overemphasis for the need for an observer where there is none. It's just a variation of the, "if a tree falls down, but there is no one around to hear it, will it make a sound" type of philosophical thought experiments. And i'm only talking about the cat story in relative isolation.
Funny story about doing something messy in the bathroom: My mom had an abscess removed from her back, and of course it was removed right before her and my dad were going on a Vaca. A nurse had to come and show my dad how to do the wound care (cleaning and repacking wound). My mom's thought was "I'll stand in the shower stall, that way if it's icky, I can just shower it down. However, mom was not aware of how much wound care hurts, and fainted in her small shower 😑 Broke her toe and glasses. Again, less than a week before going on a vacation.

Kinda speaks loud volumes when it almost has 1 million views compared to the past few months. Interest has waned in the podcast because of how the bois have done batched episodes that feel forced to have backlog for Anime Expo this year and the European tour
@@jamesb687 The actual problem is that they do too many guest episodes with guests that just aren't interesting enough or need good "interview partners" to be interesting. The boys are just really bad at asking interesting questions most of the time, which leads to "What do you think about [insert content creator topic here]?" which is not interesting for normal viewers, since they can't relate to that. Guests episodes with people that have interesting stories to tell are always bangers though, like every episode with Chris, the episode with Ladybeard etc.
Forgot to mention that they also do too many guest episodes in general. This "fourth season" of Trash Taste and the last "season" almost had a guest episode every second episode, while the first two had way less because of the pandemic, which, looking bad, may have been a better situation for the podcast.
@@jamesb687 Interest has also waned because there are so few topics to talk about. They barely talk about anime so their anime audience is not interested generally. Apart from that they look really burnt out from recording the podcast. They have been doing this for at least 3 years now.

@@sandenson 😆 Eu ainda acho que nós brasileiros deveriamos criar um grupo no whatsapp só com fãs brasileiros do Trash Taste, mas pra dizer a verdade eu ainda acho que deve existir um pelo menos.😂😂😂
This felt like the most honest Trash Taste episode, and all that entails...
Anyone: "You'll get this power but..."
Joey: "You shit yourself"
Joey is a hero for holding it together for the outro
Hey boys. Thanks for all the episodes. Just wanted to say that it’s not a lot of people around me who’s willing to think about deep (not everyday)stuff. Your pods are always encouraging to find more friends to have convos like you having. Cheers and much love to y’all!
this episode gonna end up winning all the awards with all the drunk-mouth shit they say
It was so nice to watch them giving each other compliments. You really can feel the strong friendship they are sharing 😌
Imagine giving Aki, Syd, and Meilyne three bottles of wine and hosting trash taste. I wonder what conversations they would have. :D
Great episode! There were actually a lot of cool conversations!
Add Kaho to that mix and it’d be perfect
And Ironmouse
for an april fools special they should do this
I’m just picturing the crazy shit that Sydney would say while drunk, it would be beautifully cursed😂
That would actually be really cool, Trash Taste AU episode
I love how watching the boys feels like watching your own friends having deep and hilarious conversations over drinks. The genuine camaraderie is gold!
This episode was HILARIOUS. The spontaneousness of it was comfy, don't want it for every episode but maybe from time to time, YES.
Connor should name his dog Grant
Or sebastian
Should name it mouse so he can call it angerly when it does something wrong on stream
@@In-The-Zoneoh my good that would be so funny
Or the dog should call his Garnt Connor.
D-Dawg would be best name
Love how Joey is doing the outro when Connor is hosting 😂
Connor contributed.
doesn't joey always do the outro?
Joey always does the outro, I think? It's like a fluent rap for him at this point. XD
@@suzunyan00 yeah i remember at some point in the earlier episodes garnt was impressed at joey because of the outro he just kept on doing it every eps
Schrodinger's cat is a funny part because it originally was a critique by Schrodinger on Copenhagen's interpretation of quantum mechanics, but people took it seriously and ran with it
"C'mon guys, it can't be like this, listen to how stupid this shit sounds."
*Double Slit Experiments*
"Oh... well fuck, I guess it is like that"
Yea it's essentially when kids put their hands over their eyes and think no one sees them.
However, mom was not aware of how much wound care hurts, and fainted in her small shower 😑
Broke her toe and glasses. Again, less than a week before going on a vacation.
"Imagine having a kid and having to name it" is the most Garnt thing ever said.
I don’t know why but I enjoyed when things would get de-railed from time to time and you’d just get boys randomly leaving and Connor just randomly playing chess at some points, was fun to listen to lol
genuinely great episode. they say a drunk mind speaks a sober heart and I loved that y'all were giving each other's flowers in such a wholesome way-- garnt achieving his goals, joey starting his company, connor doing charity
exactly why I love drinking with friends lol
this is honestly one of if not the best episodes of trashtaste that has come out to date, it felt like everything was so honest with really interresting topics that were also fun to listen to. i know this was a drunk episode ( and i am also not so sober rn) but i realy enjoyed this one so much. i honestly love you guys so much
We really need a yearly drinking episode, this episode had so many interesting and funny moments
This is what that keep me coming back to their episode or content, they are just genuine kind people trying to do good things.
Knowing Connors’ luck he’d teleport to his local konnbini to get food and the person he killed from teleporting would be the sales clerk.
Connor's charity work really is amazing. Never thought he'd be able to do that much
Hes the man fr
bro, the episode wasn't even out 1 minute when you commented this
Bro's charitability is power scaling like a shonen manga
@@alexjustalexyt1144Patreon user maybe 🤔
@@alexjustalexyt1144 It's his super power, consuming an entire podcast in 30 seconds. Tragically, every time he uses it, someone dies.
Sitting in a foreign country for education and seeing the boys vibing with each other drunk makes me miss my old friends back home so much. :(
I usually don't comment but this was one of the most genuine episodes ever.. just 3 dudes hanging out and talking about random shit and as the episode progresses, the conversations start getting deeper and more personal. Good shit!
Honestly Connor, LARPing as an ancient Roman is probably the most British thing you can do aside from invade other countries and steal their artifacts.
the sheer amount of tangents, the crazy, never seen the light of day before topics, the uncontrolled chaos. this episode is amazing
Hey grant you have to pour boiling water down all your drains a couple of times every day for the period of around a week or two consistently and that should significantly reduce or stop the infestation cuz they lay their eggs in the drains because it’s the ideal breeding environment for them. Hope this helps
Garnts positivity in his videos is the reason he's the only one of the boys I still regularly watch outside of TT, I'm always excited to see a new uplaod from him because I know it'll be a good time
I love watching connor and mouse clips, so heartwarming.
Some Joey videos are cool too.
All of their main channel videos are awesome tho.
Joey's interview themed videos are toptier peak content at least more than half the time. and connor videos are consistently good and intriguing. i'd say you are missing tf out if you are actively avoiding them
This is my favorite episode yet . Sometimes I watch this and I get lost, friend vibes.
This episode was pure chaos, I loved how it felt like a normal nightly conversation with my own friends would go.
This episode had such a caotic but genunine energy that is hard to describe. All thanks to the wine.
For teleportation, the drawback is that you can’t teleport your clothes. So if you teleport you would be naked lol
Then just have places with spare clothes and money to teleport to.
Problem solved!
that drawback isn't that bad....
Just be able to teleport your clothes then, you don't need to make up your own drawbacks
there's also the fact that the earth is constantly moving through space at high speeds, so your teleportation better be relative something else on earth because otherwise you're probably gonna end up in space.
Worse if you wear glasses
Absolutely brilliant episode. Not too much about UA-cam analytics and the creator grind that most people wouldnt really understand. Was able to relate the whole way through. The chemistry between you 3 and your personalities really shined. Good listen.
The wholesomeness towards the end put a genuine smile on my face. That was uplifting, to say the least.
I've been following this show since the very beginning and I really love how authentic and even more chaotic the podcast has become with all the moving out of the chairs and changing seats 😂
The feeling of reaching an end goal is so rare. I am jealous of garnt and happy for him.
One of the most heartfelt episodes. Felt quite emotional In many parts.
01:18:36 Garnt proceeds to wipe his mouth with the same tissue that he had wiped the table and bottle with
01:22:25 still uses the same tissue 💀😂
lol now that you said it. I rewatched it and yeah he did it.
He used it on himself twice 💀 I wanted to scream
Thats so fucking funny 🤣🤣
It's really not that big of a deal though? Lol
Pretty sure chinchillas are legal in the US too since they're sold in most pet stores around here.
Edit: thanks for the shout out, I am 20% of Joey's female audience. Also a proud part of the 93% for Connor lol. Been a fan for awhile😊
i like how the most replayed section of this podcast is when Garnt was talking about the names of his future children.
memes aside, this podcast has been phenomenal. i don't know what it is, but the vibes were something else.
keep up the amazing content
Holy shit. This is definitely one of the best episodes of trash taste ever. The conversations felt so real and I loved the energy. Especially near the end when they were all commending each other on their achievements. Wholesome asf 😂🐐🐐
This is my favourite Trash Taste episode in like months
These drunk chats are so hilarious and riveting somehow
Kinda speaks loud volumes when it almost has 1 million views compared to the past few months. Interest has waned in the podcast because of how the bois have done batched episodes that feel forced to have backlog for Anime Expo this year and the European tour
@@jamesb687
The actual problem is that they do too many guest episodes with guests that just aren't interesting enough or need good "interview partners" to be interesting.
@@HyperGamer14 Thats very true.
This was probably my favorite episode. I loved how when drunk they were humble. Not what I am used to seeing
this is one of the best Trash Taste episodes this year, we need more drunk episodes
This episode is amazing. Connor checking out to play chess and then just checking out and coming back the boys are chaotic good in this.
this was such a wholesome episode. loved the deeper questions asked and the credits given to each other for their accomplishments.
also, more drunk trash taste
Dang this was such a nice episode, it normally feels like "spending an afternoon with the boys" but this one felt even closer
It's really interesting seeing you guys drunk mostly because you don't lose quality and became 10x funnier peace and love amazing episode
Really love the energy this episode radiates, its so chill and laid back without structure, its so comfy to listen to
There should be a monthly drunk episode! Its great to see how deep and genuine you guys get to.
"I Don't gamble" has to be the biggest lie Joey has ever told, he's a freaking Gatcha gamer
I know this sounds corny and shit but trash taste has definitly changed my life. Thanks for helping me and the bro's out there.
all good man glad you're doing well
It made me realize how possible it is to travel especially to some place like japan
@@baeber Thanks bro!!!
You should watch Kevin Penkin episode.
He even cried to thank for them.
One of my favorite episodes to date. Made me giggle out loud multiple times. Connor this episode is great. He’s playing chess, leaving to pee mid conversation, etc. it’s unhinged in the best way
Bro this is still an all-time classic
I love hearing about the charity work and seeing how much you guys have accomplished with life goals, brands, and success in general.
