I wish Graves would get off their buns and release a system already, but this is the best looking kit for the current gen I've seen yet. Keep up the great work!
Officially, it's "uh crap uh vitch", that is, hearing the pronunciation from the people who work at the business in that country (I hate being personally conflicted about how to say things, so I went to satisfy myself). Big respect for your work. Easy person to listen to, as well. From what I've been picking up, your work is at least equal with the best and most meticulous tuners out there, if not better.
I had a 2016 fz-09 w/ a full akro and a flash tune by you… sold the bike in 2019 and I’m DYING to get back on one. I’m fairly certain I’ll be back in the saddle and using your services all over again. Gonna read up on features and options of the 2024 flash since I’m sure things have changed
I test rode the '24 last week in the UK, and when I jumped back on my '21 it felt a lot meatier in the midrange. Could this be due to the smaller airbox to accommodate the flatter tank? Nicely presented video, thank you.
How much shorter is the new end can? I have a 23 and love the akra sound, I just wish the can was a little shorter. I’d consider this new 24 model but it looks like the rear bracket is different. That and I only have 1 o2 sensor. I wish I could request this new can on the old piping/bracket haha
akrapovic only makes racing line ( stainless header) for any of the MT models even for the older model that they call the titanium system the header is stainless
Vcyclenut, now that you've had the MT for a bit, do u think the SP is worth $1700 over the base? I don't plan on tracking, and don't ride super aggressively on the street, but the improved suspension, brembos and polished swingarm look tempting!
The base MT09 is perfectly fine even for the occasional track day. At this point the mt09's suspension/chassis is sorted out enough that it's a good handling bike and nothing like the 2014-2016 models sloppy bouncy suspension and whacky handling. Pretty sure the SP is just a marketing scheme to upcharge people who think they NEED the upgrade.
@@vcyclenut thanks for replying…hmm that’s disappointing. My SP is arriving in September. I’m sorry, I’m not very mechanically minded, is this AIS something that can be added? Sorry if it’s a silly question.
Been watching these 24 MT-09 series. I'll be in the market for a reflash because the engine brake and on/off throttle IMO as well isn't the smoothest. I'm waiting to see when racefit comes out with their updated exhaust for these. I'm holding off till then, but love the bike so far.
@@vcyclenut I'm looking into the racefit Growler full system. Pretty similar with SC project. You think the flash will be similar if flashed for the SC project exhaust even though using the racefit exhaust?
@@4agehachirokuI think it will be close enough to start and then when I test and tune specifically for the race fit we can update it for free if needed
Thanks for the video! I have a 2024 XSR900 and I just purchased the Akrapovic S-YR16-HDT/2 that goes for my bike. I wanted to take off the DB killer but since you mentioned it actually gives you more HP, then i should keep it on. Does this apply to my 2024 XSR900 with the new akrapovic exhaust?
I’m looking to upgrade to the Akro for my ‘24 but I’m not sure if I’ll have the funds to upgrade the exhaust and do the flash all at once. In your opinion (as unbiased as possible), is it “safe” to run the bike with the Akro on stock tune for a little while? Or is it best to bite the bullet and do the flash and exhaust upgrade at the same time?
Excellent work! My gen2 SP with a full Akra system (db killer in) shows 115,4 whp on the dyno, coming from 104,9 whp stock - have been riding for a number of seasons now with that smooth, but instant throttle response thanks to optimized fuelling / without any factory limitations. Together with other mods (weight "loss" to 181,5 kgs wet), the agile bike is a treat up and down any serious mountain pass (brakes also uprated with steel braided lines and track / road pads). Eying the gen4 SP as "worthy successsor" - will have the pleasure of getting into the "opmimization mode" once more 😅✌
No. I just finished testing the sc crt. On the gen 3 I did back to back testing with the s1 and crt and they perfect identical ua-cam.com/video/YM1jtK_N8U0/v-deo.htmlsi=4i0zYHfdVVb-i7sG
On the Gen 3 did you find the s1 (with db killer in) much louder than the akra with db killer removed? I’m still leaning heavily towards the s1 with db killer but am a little worried it might be toooo loud
I think this is the exhaust I'll be doing. Like the look of it! Sounds awesome too 👍

Nice gains!
Really want to see Yoshi😎
Thanks. It’s on the list. Probably be a few weeks
great video! My one’s arriving in 2 weeks
. Do you know by any chance if a gen 2 or 3 akrapovic exhaust will fit on the 24 model?
Gen 2 no gen 3 yes
beautiful, check engine light is appear? did you remapped the ECU?
Thanks
No check engine light
Yes. I thought that was very clear in the video that I flashed the ecu. Was it not?
Do you tune for overseas customers, like if sent you the ECU?
no, sorry I do not . Just USA and Canada

Thanks. Yes it always surprises me how a restrictive air box effects the midrange more than I would expect
The 3rd gen is just the better bike. More potential power and doesn't look like a 150cc scooter

I don’t have them both here to measure. The bracket is definitely different
Does Akrapovic offer titanium headers for this system or only stainless steel?
akrapovic only makes racing line ( stainless header) for any of the MT models
even for the older model that they call the titanium system the header is stainless
@vcyclenut thank you!
Did this have an aftermarket air box? Do you think it needs one?
Are you referring to the Dna stage 2 lid?
Any chance we'll see and the homologated Arrow Exhaust?
I have the arrow ordered just waiting on it
Does this SC Projects system come with only the 1 O2 sensor, as my 2024 oem system has 2 O2 sensors? Thanks
One. It will not work on European models until they update it with a second bung
@@vcyclenut ok thanks. Would you suggest using an O2 eliminator plug and bung to block the second sensor hole?
@@Markdi46 in theory that should work but I haven’t tested it
I've got a gen 3 and am deciding between M4, Dominator GP3, and Racefit. What's your opinion? Do you still offer exhausts for gen 3? Thanks!
Dominator of those 3.
Yes I sell many different exhausts

The bike has no ais system. I can make it a little more aggressive without doing crazy things but nothing like a gen 1 or gen 2.
