How long have you been playing. I'm on ten years now. Still can't play and I was in a blues band at school on the Bass guitar. Useless

Over 30 years! I dedicated a lot of practice for several years when I was young then played pro for 20 years...so that's many, many hours of playing. Don't be down on yourself, it takes a lot of time on any musical instrument to get to a decent place. I think that's why some people get disheartened. If you love playing just keep on playing...try not to compare to others. We all have our own story to write...keep writing yours and finding your joy with music. I wish you all the best on your musical journey
