    X4: Foundations has been significantly enlarged with its 3.0 Update - this is the perfect time for space game enthusiasts to newly discover or revisit the biggest space sandbox this side of the galaxy! Jump into your ship and experience the brand-new storyline "A lever to move the world", introducing diplomatic missions. Become the best pilot out there with our new flight school.
    X4: Foundations is the latest title in the popular X series of space simulation / sandbox games, played as action games from a first-person perspective in a living breathing universe, with TRADE FIGHT BUILD THINK as the common tag-line. X4: Foundations is unique in its depth, simulating an entire universe of NPC ships and stations, forming a realistic economy. It consists of a huge universe, simulated from the bottom up. Hundreds of stations, and thousands of ships, trade goods among themselves. Prices change based on supply and demand; resources are mined and processed in several stages. This economy is linked directly to the simulation of major conflicts in a universe with dynamically-acting factions. Every player decision can dramatically change the future of the game universe. Step in and live your very own space adventure!

      Yeah didn't even realize the medium could dock there - although I wonder if it would've been hit by mines sitting exposed?

      Tobel, I really enjoy your x4 series! The balance between getting sh*t done, exploring and action is just right! The length of the episodes is perfect, I hope you have the endurance to keep it up that way though. Please keep up the good work!

      To sabotage you need to go in the station to the specific panel and hack it. Don’t need to shoot anything

    I would have recommended a dual Teladinium/Silicon Wafer setup, both of those factories require nothing but raw materials and energy cells, and you get a LOT of energy cells from just one solar array. I'm actually currently building my own production megaplex that does both of those, and mines ice on the side to feed a production wing for Maja snails and Swamp plant. And um... Their second tier products, which are completely legal in my own wholly owned system of course.
    Edit: Oh, graphene is a good choice actually, provided you can find a good source of methane that's not all the way on the other side of the map in Split territory.

    If you are still looking for unstable crystals, go to and asteroid belt, IE I did this in Argon Prime, look on the map and mouse over square icons with a diagonal line, you may have to zoom in really close, those are small asteroids with items, usually unstable crystals, spacefly eggs or one other i forgot the name of. you can just fly over these to pick them up, iv noticed there is usually either 4 or 7 unstable crystals in these rocks

    Wow, huge improvements in this ep!
    Yeah, testing for Nividium in trading station sectors is a good idea. Couple miners in each, plus a few extra (manual selling ones) for those trading stations that don't have in-system supply, and you're set for a long while.

  • @snafu2350
    @snafu2350 4 роки тому +3

    @TobelPlays Sims IMO&E best to mine nividium (platinum) manually rather than sending a low-lvl sector autominer to do it. Not only is the product only bought at large trade stations (there's no manufacturing demand for it), but demand for it fluctuates wildly. Until you lvl suitable autominers' skills so they can mine in one area then trade in another you're pretty much limited to 'manual' mining/trading from map view.. until then, explore more (race) areas to find more trade docks to sell nividium to (remember to keep LR scanning!), & drop satellites by them to gain their price info :) If you remember to use map filters you can zoom out & instantly see which station is paying the best price: tell your 'manual' miner to go trade there & instantly bring them back to mine more (yes, order queueing is entirely possible, altho can be frustrating at times!)
    Buy & use as many basic/1* pilot seminars as you can find to level your pilots to 2* minimum. They're cheap enough, & will help a lot with the grind of getting someone to 3* - they train approx 1/3* per seminar, so it may take a little time..
    As you eventually found, harvested gases are compressed & frozen to liquid state for storage purposes: there is no 'gas storage' in the game. Raw ores are considered 'solid' for storage purposes, while pretty much everything else needs container storage. Therefore build at least 3x container storages for every solid/liquid storage you require for raw materials. Assorted foods, meds & water are only really required for station population (habitation modules bring in more workers, increasing station efficiency); your small station doesn't require them ATM, so ignore them for now.. but /do/ grab a manager ASAP & train them with cheap seminars to the max you can: this will allow you to assign ships (& a budget) to the station so it can keep working without you micromanaging everything
    When building a new station you'll prolly want to start with 1 solar array (unless you have another conveniently nearby); 1 3S3M luxury dock (I'll get back to that in a moment) & 1 pier of any size for passing L/XL ships. After those basics are in place you can focus on what the station will produce
    The reason for the 3S3M luxury dock is partially for (your own) traders: the more open trade slots you have available, the quicker trade turnover can happen, & therefore the more efficient you are at gaining moolah :) The amount of docks also allows you to store any captured ships you may find lying around the place, making the galaxy untidy ;) The 'luxury' designation simply means that the dock will come with a personal inv shop & crafting spot, allowing you quick & easy guaranteed access for local crafts & personal inv trade (stock is random, as are prices). The initial materials cost is higher, but so is the reward over time :)
    Sadly there is no current vanilla game command to 'store' one ship docked to another that I know of: it just happens automatically :(
    I'm still waiting to build up my current save to checking whether that free Ody can be taken personally; it certainly used to be possible (I did it several times) & if done that way you don't lose its weps etc. I really have to get around to checking that again!.. :)

      Sector automine is possible for nividium even with 0 piloting - they way he does it is actually much better than doing it manually. Even if you have to send them to sell, they go back to mine automatically. Also, in many systems where there's a trading station, there's also nividium. Hatikva's Choice is not that exceptional

    • @snafu2350
      @snafu2350 4 роки тому +1

      @@rauminen4167 That's not the problem: the problem is flooding the local market (ie the IS trade hub) with resources so that it won't buy any more stuff. If that happens, your autominers (if they don't have the requisite skill to go trade elsewhere) will be stuck with full cargo holds & nowhere to trade with, stuck on pause with little to no notification :( With manual mining, at least you're notified (tediously) every time a miner's hold fills & can then manually direct them to the appropriate trade hub to sell its stuff to.. leading to better overall profit efficiency :)

  • @zontarr8812
    @zontarr8812 4 роки тому +2

    Not all Trading stations buy Nvidium, just one in AntRepublic, the one you have already in Argon, one in Teladi( Iamazura) and one in Free Split systems that also has the highest demand. The trading with Nvidium is limited by the demand for it on each station, but you still can do a lot of money with 2 M miners.

  • @Reddotzebra
    @Reddotzebra 4 роки тому +4

    Nividium is a big winner, but you need to be careful not to overfill the market. There are certain systems that have more of the space gold than just the trace amounts in Nopileas'

    Your miners will find stuff on their own. Resource probes are only used for mission stuff, or when you want to plan, NPC don't need them. Nopileos is a good system to set up shop, since you can claim it after. You can always produce drugs and booze there, they don't make much, but no one will bother you with it, and you never have to worry about distributing them, NPC will fetch them from you. Later on, if you want a bigger drugs and booze monopoly, you can burn the SCA factories, and the SCA will also come buy from you :)
    Other thing, i recall that Pillagers often spawn in unclaimed systems, so you can have a boarding party on standby if you spot a juicy pillager destroyer, or even frigates to try bailing pilots from. Free ships is always lovely :)
    Also, IF you decide you have enough standing with a faction and need a "particular" kind of ship, boarding in unclaimed (or your own systems) has no other consequences but the small rep hit. Boarding in faction claimed systems is harder, since ships drop distress beacons and call in helps from the local faction military.
    All in all, setting shop in Nopileos is a great long term goal. I played a lot of dirty back in 1.0, when i set a shop there, i made a point in hiring a builder from each faction to spread the rep hits, and captured all of them. Then did some leg work to get the rep back, and repeated the process. Totally financed the site with profits made, and kept a few builders for myself :P
    And one last EXTREMELY IMPORTANT thing, when you kill something, scoop up the lewt. Always do it. If you ever want ship mods.
    PS: You could have docked the Cerberus on the Odysseus, and take everything along. Having a Frigate docked for the extra turrets - they still fire when docked, however, the Cerberus is terrible for it, because of the front mounted turrets - is always a great plan.

    I'm pretty sure that system you're in is HAT controlled, and they have no laws on drugs or booze, just in case you want to start growing some cash crops or liquor for sale. Also, I believe their trading station there buys the stuff, and you don't even need to find a black market buyer first to sell it
    Just a though for future expansion possibilities

      @@TobelPlaysSims Most hacking missions are done from inside the station (I don't remember one that doesn't in X4, but I may have been 'lucky').
