I've struggled with breakouts forever and nothing seemed to work. I’ve been listening to the subliminal affirmations on borlest for a few weeks now, and I swear my skin has never looked this clear. I didn’t expect it to work, but it really did.

My go-to sunscreen for dealing with acne-prone skin is littlllextra rice berry sunscreen with SPF 50+. My biggest problems with many sunscreens are whether they lead to breakouts and they leave my skin dry and irritated. However, this sunscreen doesn't do this and it applies great under makeup which is essential for me since I wear makeup daily as someone with acne-prone skin.

I used Rice Berry SunScreen, and it is really lightweight and hydrating. It absorbed in seconds. I will certainly continue purchasing it.

People who say toners are unnecessary have not experienced the pure comfort and joy of using a nice toner 😌 I mean I almost don’t care if it does anything long term or not, same as with facial mists - it just feels so NICE

@@Suellenfontinele I use the ‘Liquid Hydration’ toner from Geek&Gorgeous daily, it’s a very basic hydrating toner and very cheap! For the fancier ones I’ve been very happy with the Laneige ‘Cream Skin toner&moisturizer’, and I’ve also enjoyed the Purito ‘Oat-In silky toner’! But I’m no expert and I haven’t tried very many 🌟

I prefer Korean skin care mainly affordability. Although both have their expensive and cheaper brands but affordable American brands don’t do anything while the Korean ones does. Cheap American brands is like a catch all product while ingredients are pretty mild and ineffective. Cheap Korean brands still have the active ingredients to solve a specific problem, helps you try out an ingredient before committing to a more expensive brand with the same ingredient.

Yeah, and what I see is that the much affordable ones is basically fragrances and the expensive ones with more aggressive ingredients like high percentages of bha/aha and retinol, and what I also notice is that western products for sensitive skin are mostly balms which I hate for my oily skin. And are not light products to really hydrate the skin, its not popular the water-oil balance.
I have a really sensitive, oily and dehydrated skin so for that I prefer the asian products that are mostly more affordable and gentle to the skin and yet hydrating but light to oily skin.
Ah and asian products avoid more fragrances, which is really good to my sensitive skin.
And western products are soooo expensive bro, In stylevana I can literally buy a really good vitamin c for 10 bucks and a really good cleanser (the rovectin cleanser) for 7 bucks.
And I loveee chemical sunscreens (especially the japanese ones), the western ones leave a white cast and are not pleasant to use and almost dont exist western stick sunscreen like bro how are me suppost to re-apply sunscreen without an stick sunscreen.

I'm so grateful for your videos and education! I've had the worst oily & acne-prone skin my whole life, and have tried everything - until I decided to throw in the towel and start from the ground up with a multi-step skincare routine. I always thought it was too big a hassle or too fussy, but I'm so glad I did. I'm 3 months into a ~7-step skincare routine, and it has honestly been LIFECHANGING! My skin is so much younger, radiant, and acne-free that I can't even believe it! I'm still working up to the ~10-steps (with more advanced elements like serums), but I can't believe it took me until my 30's to do this. It was a lot of research, and Beauty Within's videos on products and tips & tricks were so pivotal and friendly that it got me over my intimidation. Thank you so much for all you do, you changed my life!

I use both. It is like offense vs defense, a good team needs both. I use my tretinoin for quick resurfacing of the skin. I then follow it up with soothing and hydrating ingredients, both of which Korean skincare is known for, since tretinoin can be a bit drying. Same thing with exfoliants and spot treatment; I have acne prone skin so I use a BHA and sometimes benzoyl peroxide. I then moisturize, moisturize, moisturize! So far my skin has been loving it!

Not being negative, just my opinion even after using different chemical products from so and so brands our skin still breaks out. It doesn’t guarantee fully flawless skin. On the other side, switching to natural products like pure honey, fresh aloe etc does wonders with time. These aren’t hella expensive and does no harm. We got to be smart ❤

I was taught growing up in the West that acne was caused by dirty oily skin, that acne medications and toners are supposed to dry the skin out to control excessive oil, and that good makeup was all about looking as matte as possible. My skin was miserable, dry, and acne prone as a result of this misinformation.
I'm team Asian skincare all the way. Hydration is the single most important aspect of skincare and good makeup application. Most people probably wouldn't even need medicated products if they just took proper care of their skin in the first place.

I want both. I have never had skin issues. I was normal for most of my life. However, since I'm more mature now, I'm dryer. I've never had acne or any other skin condition. The only regret I have, is that I grew up without sunscreen. We used oils and lotions to get tanned. 😮😮😮😮. Thankfully, I never got a burn. But I am aging, and that is a true challenge. So, I want instant, and long term help.❤❤❤❤❤❤

and now I'm finding out that, since i have sensitive skin, korean skincare is probably a lot better for me because i don't have major acne, just the occasional spots meaning it's better to take my time with it and prevent it rather than use strong products which, if I'm not careful with, would lead to horrible results

I use mostly Korean skincare products, but occasionally American/Western brands too. I usually get hormonal acne before my period. So I try to prevent and minimize them by using products with tea tree, salicylic acid, mild exfoliants, etc.. Also, I double cleanse morning and night. Recently, I bought a skincare device called the Dermapore. It helps to unclog pores and makes my skin feel smoother and clearer. It’s quite pricey ($100), but it’s worth it in my opinion.

@@implayingwithkittensbrb Since I use a lot of skincare products, I use multiple brands. In other words, the list would be endless. However, I’m currently using Neogen’s Micro Toner and CosRx AHA BHA Vitamin C Toner. Both are Korean exfoliating toners, which help get rid of dead skin cells and unclog pores. I’m not sure if either of these are ok for sensitive skin, but I didn’t have any problems.
