- This is an update on the progress of our treehouse cabin. Siding, soffit, driveway, etc. It's so beautiful out here.
We fell in love with eastern Oklahoma and the 100-foot majestic pine trees and rolling mountains. In 2022, we bought about two acres of land in Muse, OK, on Billy Creek, which is located about 1/2 mile from the 1.5 million acre Ouachita National Forest, nestled between the Ouachita Mountains and the Kiamichi Mountains and is where you can find the Kiamichi River. There are hundreds of miles of trails for ATVs, SxSs, motorcycles, horses, hiking, and mountain bikes. We are also just a few minutes south of the famous Talimena Scenic Drive (Highway 1 that connects Talihina, Oklahoma, and Mena, Arkansas). This area is rapidly growing for the short term rental business with Airbnb and VRBO. What started off as just a little camp site so we could go play in the great outdoors with our Polaris RZR, quickly evolved into a glamping site, and now we are building an awesome treehouse cabin on the creek.

I love this little cabin. I’d love a little tiny house on a few acres. We looked for property for a while then stopped. I don’t want to buy where I might not be happy. Cuz I don’t feel we would ever want to do it again. Great work on the cabin. You have some nice building skills.

Thanks. We started with plans but have modified them while building. So nothing officially on paper. This build doesn’t look much like our original plans honestly. It so much better. Not a bad idea to modify the architects plan though so we have it.
