  • The plumbing and electrical are now done! This means it was time for spray foam. Wow!!! Amazing difference with the spray foam.
We also road our side by sides into the Kiamichi Mountains in the Ouachita National Forest here in Oklahoma. And then worked on the pergola on our deck overlooking our swim hole.
We fell in love with eastern Oklahoma and the 100-foot majestic pine trees and rolling mountains. In 2022, we bought about two acres of land in Muse, OK, on Billy Creek, which is located about 1/2 mile from the 1.5 million acre Ouachita National Forest, nestled between the Ouachita Mountains and the Kiamichi Mountains and is where you can find the Kiamichi River. There are hundreds of miles of trails for ATVs, SxSs, motorcycles, horses, hiking, and mountain bikes. We are also just a few minutes south of the famous Talimena Scenic Drive (Highway 1 that connects Talihina, Oklahoma, and Mena, Arkansas). This area is rapidly growing for the short term rental business with Airbnb and VRBO. What started off as just a little camp site so we could go play in the great outdoors with our Polaris RZR, quickly evolved into a glamping site, and now we are building an awesome treehouse cabin on the creek.
Come along with us on this journey as we document the build of our treehouse cabin and how our life in trees began….

Love the spray foam. I just had one issue with mine.... internet was upgraded here from DSL to fiber... and they couldn't pull the new line in taped to the old line, because they couldn't even get the old line to move... there was one staple on the stud (I had a photo showing that before they foamed), but the foam grabs the line so much that it just wouldn't move. Take lots of pictures/videos before you drywall. I'm shocked how frequently I go back and find electric line positions, stud positions, water line positions, etc! Maybe you already have!! Look'in great!.... Best, --J.Andre. / Old Iron Acres

Great advice. I videoed the whole place, wall by wall, before the foam went in. I have the same concerns.

Yeah, stupid mic. Thank you. Yes. Spray foam is not cheap at all!! But so worth it. Sigh…
