Perfect pace Saqib. I really like your architectural focus in general. That seems to be lacking in general in blender tutorials. I am not convinced that that blender can't be used from grease pencil to blueprint for architectural. The pipeline just isn't developed enough yet.
Thank man ! yeah I will try to create more tutorials on Arch topics . Blender is growing faster then before and there will be feature's added to it may be in near future that will totally change the industry workflow.
thanks yeah there are few things if you know them you don't need to work hard it just like working smart and you can achieve results in a very short amount of time.
Thanks man, this was a great tutorial, you taught alot of important stuff, just have a question. My final pillar has too many vertices and edges and when i duplicate more to make a column hallway it crashes my blender, is there some way to optimise it? Have you done a tutorial on it?
Thankyou so much . The better way is to make it with less polys as much as you can . If you can bake the normals it will be even more better . If you want to duplicate it try to use alt + d duplicate it will create an instance of the mesh by doing that it will use less memory.
Just wanted to say what a great little tutorial this is. Did you have any plans to environmental art course for Udemy or other related platforms? Would love to know
Heeey thanks for making this! :D Doesn't seem so hard after all now that I see you do it xD , very clever how you created the creases corners for the insets on the lower part of the cylinder to give it some sharp edges (What you do at 1:33 ). Looks really good :) When doing architectural stuff, do you often start in 2D when not following reference images as well?
You're welcome , at 1:33 I was just adding edge loops but pressing Ctrl + R you can also add edge loops to a model vertically or horizontally depending on the what edge you are on after pressing the short key .Thanks again. Yeah sometimes I do but I recommend others to use reference more then just depending on own imagination and interpretation of things to make models easily and not to get stuck at a point .
very nice tutorial. have you used sketch up? recently i am following blender a lot i really want to learn it. being from an architectural background i find you cannot do precise modelling in blender as much as in sketchup . maybe im wrong as im still in the learning curve i dont know.. what are your views?
thanks , I have also used sketchup too I can understand your point but you can also do precision work in blender too . You just need to know the basics like knowing how to change the unit system and preview the measurement and how can you use short keys to put precise value for your measured value . If that does not help then still you have a lot of addons to get more precision while working with an architecture model.
Very interesting techniques thanks. A small remark : I’m thrown off by the many sound cuts and edits. Why not add a background to hide the cuts ? Thanks and keep posting !
Learned so much from this tutorial. :) Thanks so much! Just a question here but at 3:57 when you scale the spheres, they become smaller. I had to put the 3d cursor on the sphere for me to be able to do this but I noticed that you're 3d cursor was still on the empty. How did you do this?
Awesome tutorial!! Just one question (although this may pertain to your array video); at around 3:40 you set the object offset to the empty, when I do this the array just makes a second massive sphere around the empty, I do not understand what I am doing wrong.
You will need to add more vertices to it then it will work . If you are trying to make a single plane into a circle it can not work till you have some decent amount of edge loops on plane.
@@SaqibHussain88 Thank you for the info, i have alraedy solve it .I was missing the shift key alt+shift+s i was pressing alt+s instead and that is why it didn't work.

@@lazzy5397 Well if you want to work urgently then set your account on fiver or upwork , But if you talk about me I am kind of all rounder I have done some architectural work , Ads, Product marketing , model assets . Before doing youtube it was a little difficult to find and get a freelance job of my own interest and most of my work but its getting easier these days.
Ok so I made this, but I notice that I have a MASSIVE poly count in the end, and I've tried using vertex groups, and both the decimate and remesh modifiers to reduce the poly count, but I end up losing too much detail and I'm not sure how to proceed from here. Does anyone have tips?
Might be a year late but maybe you can try baking from high poly to low poly for some of the details in order to decrease poly count. Also for the leaf-like ornament in this baroque pillar, you can try to seperate it from the pillar and make it a seperate mesh. Then add a flat plane which has the same curves as the ornament, and bake your ornament onto it, add opacity mask so that unwanted parts of the plane don't appear and now you have a flat plane with all those intricate details of the ornament in it. You can combine these methods to get a fairly low poly version of this
I think i learned more in this 6 minutes than I have in like 10 years. Thanks so much!
Happy to help! You're welcome.
