Yes definitely dont turn HDR on if it's not oled. I got a accer predator 240 htz monitor and the game looks amazing if I dont turn that shit on. U are right about that it looks really washed out.
I'd rather be on 2160p without HDR than with it. Since my last HDMI slot doesn't have support with HDR, I actually found it more pleasing to see the picture from far away while having it off. I believe I stopped using it on my PS4 because of how much of a hassle it is to get the picture brightness right, either it's too bright or dim to see the text or to dim to see the picture so I stopped using HDR all out because to me to picture still looks pretty without it.
It depends on the game some games have terrible HDR but some games it makes a big difference, for example Days Gone HDR looks much Nicer than without it. Many games pull it off beautifully, Gears 5 pulled it off extremely well also, many other games as well. The thing is though not all HDR compatible TVs actually have good HDR. I have a " strange " question: I remember that for those owning a PS4 PRO, some advised Disabling " Super Sampling " and also " HDR " in order to increase FPS. Do you think that by setting the Output Resolution to 1080p and disabling " HDR " on the PS5 would increase FPS ( or make them more stable, basically a locked 60 FPS in games like Marvel Avengers ) Thank you very much in advance :)
if you want i can link you to a twitter account that helped me get one. he posts everytime a ps5 restock drops so if you keep at it and have his notifications on, you'll get one in no time.
For Adjusting HDR, your settings are wrong. For the first 2 you want to make sure it clips to the point where you can’t see the image anymore. So as an example on my LG C1 OLED with DTM/HGIG off I would set the first 2 to the exact same level. For me it would be 14 clicks from the minimum. Then on the last one where it adjusts dark colours and blacks, I set that to the lowest point possible to ensure you are getting true blacks.
What do you mean weird. I have issues with a couple games looking very dark like ac valhalla. I've heard to turn off the hdr butt it didn't help much. It was a little better
@@Anthony-cn8ll yup still noticeable. When turned off my TV got around 12ms input lag. That's very low btw. When I enable hdr I feel like that number doubles. 6ms is the lowest you can get on tv's btw. But 6ms you can only get with a 120fps output cause higher frames decrease input lag too.
It depends. Because the PS5 OS supports HDR, it will display an HDR signal even with games that don't support it, so certain games will end up being an SDR image displayed in an HDR signal because the PS5 doesn't switch to SDR even if the game in question doesn't support HDR. So if you've been playing games like Crash 4, R6 Siege, Bloodborne, Dark Souls 3 and more, then the image is going to look like ass because they don't support HDR, but the PS5 will force an HDR signal regardless unless you turn HDR off in the settings. This only applies to PS5 and not the PS4.
So i have lg 43 inch tv which support 4k 2160p natively and but tv Channel resolution is 1080p since most tv serials and programmes are made in 1080p so if i buy ps5 will that automatic means 2160p for ps5 or 1080p ????
My TV that I bought specifically for my PS5 is a Vizio 50in 4K 60 hertz TV I got on sale during Christmas of 2020 for $300 plus tax. after playing for a few weeks on my PS5 on this Vizio 4K 60 hertz TV ( didn't get my PS5 till February 28th) I am satisfied with my purchase I don't understand HDR what's the point of it picture already looks fantastic even if I don't mess with the HDR settings. I have it set to Performance mode should I set it to resolution will it still play at 60fps?
Hdr makes the picture look more natural and realistic in my opinion. Vizio is not a great picture. I think samsung and Sony have the best pictures. At least that's how it's always been
Hdr increases your peak brightness and color on your tv but also increases input lag. (actions you will see on your tv when you press a button on your controller). Also I suggest you put your console in resolution mode since you got a 60hz tv. But that doesn't say everything cause the new spiderman in performance mode runs in 1440p@60fps and resolution mode render spiderman in 4k@30fps. So it's up to you buddy.
I think too many people nowadays way overthink everything the automatic feature is there for a reason to make the setup with absolute ease I left everything automatic with my PS4 slim and PS5 And I never had any graphical issues 😍 The automatic feature is designed to take full advantage of your TV or monitor resolution HDR and refresh rate and according to my PS4 slim video information it's maxed out at 1080p HDR 60 Hz RGB 😍 meanwhile my PS5 says 1080p HDR 120 Hz RGB 😍 every game I tested the graphics simply looks amazing I have no stuttering issues I have the best gaming experience unlike some dumbasses in the comment section 🤦♂️
aaah good tips. You are using EL2870U ?? If yes is it good on ps5 especially HDR and colors are good? because I heard bad things about the clolor and brightness of this monitor and im not sure about buy it. So are colors and HDR good?

Yeah there's none of that. The new update has added this 3d effect thing for TV speakers and I think soundbars too in the audio settings, but home theatre systems aren't in the audio settings to customise.
Im still gonna use 2160p to ensure is hit 4k all the time
I got my ps5 yesterday and this video helped me set it up
Great now i just need to find a Playstation to buy!

What for monitor do u have or tv?
Love your videos. Wish the titles were a bit more informative though. It’s gonna be hard for people to find these sorts of tips down the road when the title doesn’t give any indicator of the content. Just a thought
I have a " strange " question:
I remember that for those owning a PS4 PRO, some advised Disabling " Super Sampling " and also " HDR " in order to increase FPS.
Do you think that by setting the Output Resolution to 1080p and disabling " HDR " on the PS5 would increase FPS ( or make them more stable, basically a locked 60 FPS in games like Marvel Avengers )
Thank you very much in advance :)
Narrator: 8 months later..
Most TVs and moniters will be good bit more responsive the more you disable all them features! That's true yes, my friend plays 720 on fifa

Does hig resolution video gaming also affects the over heating in my ps5?
For Adjusting HDR, your settings are wrong. For the first 2 you want to make sure it clips to the point where you can’t see the image anymore. So as an example on my LG C1 OLED with DTM/HGIG off I would set the first 2 to the exact same level. For me it would be 14 clicks from the minimum. Then on the last one where it adjusts dark colours and blacks, I set that to the lowest point possible to ensure you are getting true blacks.
exactly what I thought but hey that is his way I guess

John, why is the upload speed is so low on the PS5? Thanks.
Because videos and screens are in 1080p/4K. On PS4 it was 720p

Thank you.
Great tips as always 👍

Another great Video Bro 😎 keep it down to earth 🌍 JJ London
I always put HDR off, it’s makes it look weird for me
What do you mean weird. I have issues with a couple games looking very dark like ac valhalla. I've heard to turn off the hdr butt it didn't help much. It was a little better
Try editing the HDR picture settings on your TV.
I turn it off because of increased input lag. It's not much but slightly noticeable.
@@jessepinkman6253 Lots of TVs have game mode in HDR. Have you tried that out?
@@Anthony-cn8ll yup still noticeable. When turned off my TV got around 12ms input lag. That's very low btw. When I enable hdr I feel like that number doubles. 6ms is the lowest you can get on tv's btw. But 6ms you can only get with a 120fps output cause higher frames decrease input lag too.
Almost at 500k bro, I remember when you used to play bo3, you were at like 4k subs, keep grinding man
Bi fort
HDR makes the picture look like crap I always keep it off
@@thespeedtapper4 when I play Spiderman ps5 remastered and call of duty cold war both support HDR makes the picture look really dark and grainy
Yea especially rdr, it’s too much for me and I feel like just keeping it off is the best option and I thought I was the only one that felt like that
What monitor do u use with the ps5
Nice video. That surname can’t of served you well in high school though😬

With your TV ways set to quality mode. Performance is only for 120fps games which would be a waste on a 60hz screen.
@@diligaf1000 not exactly. Alot of games in resolution mode only run at 30fps since it's in native 4k, and performance mode will bump it to 60fps.

Does HDR effect FPS? I noticed when I turn it off Warzone plays smoother and faster on PS5. Please confirm my concern.

@@krepapas7928 it doesn't.
Hdr only affects input lag on your screen. Cause it enables higher contrast, color and brightness. It does NOT affect frames ingame.
