@@kawecksshenanigans8010 they passed because when they took the test they knew their every move was being graded, now that people have it they really shouldn't. They studied and practiced for what 2 months took their test and decided they didnt actually need to follow all those rules to drive, years of driving without actually following the rules of the road is not a safe or experienced driver. If people REALLY knew how to drive there wouldnt be so many deadly accidents on the road every year.
@@jackzhang1980 I have taken 30 driving lessons at a traffic school here in Sweden, it's 80min each lesson. We have also a more difficult theory test than in the US. We also need to do a test on a controlled slippery road and take a 3 hour long course about dangers in traffic(drugs and tiredness). I have my driving test tomorrow and I do feel nervous even though I know I'm a decent driver by now. But the American driving tests are a joke, it's way to easy to pass.

I personally wouldn’t say that people get nervous when they have lack of practice. I was extremely nervous while taking my test and I practiced every chance I got for around 3 months prior to the test. Some people have really bad anxiety prepared or not.
I’m this way with tests in general. In school I’d ace class work but when it was time for a test I’d overthink, second guess and muck it all up. When doing my driving lessons I was a good driver, my instructor even said so. Yet when I did my test I made minor mistakes I’d never made before on routes I’d already done correctly before. (Still passed) but the anxiety and pressure definitely f*ked me up 😂😩
Drivers Ed...the test they give in that are much easier. There's also literally no reason to be nervous because the instructor is someone you've know for over a month. My instructor was literally the one who taught me to drive and gave me my test.

I'm not saying she didn't deserve to fail the test but the white car slowed down and stopped like they were letting her go. They probably didn't know if they had the right of way or not, a lot of other people on the road can't drive either.
yeah fr. it actually looked like while she was pulling out the white car was still coming to a stop. so honestly even though there was no stop sign there i feel like the instructor was just being a dick to fail her for that. she didnt hold up traffic, she really didnt CUT the guy off. the white car didnt like speed up then instantly stop because of what she did. the white car actually didnt even move after stopping so idk. yeah its the law but how often do people actually follow the law while driving? i swear 90% of people dont understand yield laws so i wouldve just went here. Especially with the black SUV infront of the white car. if anything i think that black SUV had the right of way as he was infront of the white car, and she pulled out WITH the suv. lots of variables here I bet its just a instructor to instructor thing, some wouldve failed for it some might not.

Because she still knows how to drive. Although she did make a critical error, she still has the proper skills to drive, it’s just the anxiety and stress that’s causing her to make mistakes. If she was a big enough threat to the point where she could cause a major accident, then probably they would have to pull over but their not going to stop the test just because she cut someone off
I get why she failed and I do agree with it, but using that type of tone on someone who you believe is a bad driver and who is already nervous it’s going to make things better. I’m glad they both got back to the DMV safely.

if someone is inching through a turn... Then you should be very concerned... if you inch through turns like that you aren't ready for the test. Her voice prompted urgency because you're in a car... everything is urgent... You can die like that.

This girl more than likely has severe anxiety and is causing her to make mistakes. She’s so nervous after she made the first mistake that’s when she starts to make more. Because she knew she failed, which caused her anxiety to spike.
It annoys me that at the beginning it said that the student was fairly nervous and insinuated that she didn't practice enough. I have anxiety though not as severe, and I was terrified for my driver's test though I've been practicing and holding it off for nearly 2 years.

You have to be able to handle that pressure. They make you take the test in a low traffic zone. Just imagine having to drive during peak hours by yourself with no preparation. It would be a disaster
The examiner was making it worse by expressing frustration and stressing out the driver. Yes, the driver definitely needed more practice. However, she was already stressed out and the examiner should've kept her frustration to herself not only for the driver's sake, but also to minimize the risk of a crash.
The examiner didn't say anything until after the critical error. The student was stressed beforehand but that's not the examiners fault. Most students are when taking any kind of test.

I don't think she was being overdramatic necessarily. The driver made very critical mistakes that could have potentially endangered the lives of the instructor, her, and other drivers. Like the video stated in the captions the instructor was skeptical about the student's ability to drive safely as she was doing things that could have caused an accident. The instructor's intention wasn't to be rude, she was being stern with the student because the student was not driving safely.

The driver clearly wasn’t putting on turn signals, was too slow when turning and literally stopped in the middle of the road. That could mean death... just sayin
That’s how my teacher was when I was 16 it freaked me out because I already have anxiety and it made me an anxious driver. I passed but now every time I drive I panic because of him yelling at me 😂 I think other people are doing the same
As an examiner, I personally wouldn’t have discontinued the test based on that first mistake, because for new drivers it can get quite confusing when the oncoming car stop when they have right of way. After that one mistake, the examiner’s tone and commands flustered the student and it spiralled down into chaos for her. Biggest thing for new students is to calm your nervous and move on from your previous mistake and not let it affect your overall drive test.
How did she have to yield to him when: #1 she was there before him and he fully stopped for her. #2 it is two lanes so neither car had "the right away" and both could safely go at anytime. Edit: Ignore me if the white car was going straight I thought he was turning right (I cant tell)
@@devonr7497 White car was turning right, but she still has to yield for the white car since it’s the white car’s right of way. Traffic turning left on lights even if it’s green has to give way also doesn’t matter if it’s a two lane. Left turning traffic must always yield.
@@joshuas637 the safety standard is to yield for traffic turning right even if it’s 2 lanes, because there have been multiple accidents where the right turning traffic immediately joins the furthest lane, the correct method that is being taught currently is to wait and yield for the traffic turning right.

the same reason why dual control learner vehicles almost never have an accelerator (gas pedal) on the the instructor side. Instructor can stop you with brake and clutch controls whenever he wants but can never push you into a situation.

As an instructor you should expect something like this to happen once in awhile, i completely agree with the driver failing the test but with that attitude isn't gonna help the driver but make them more frantic. Putting yourself and the driver even more in danger

Yeah anxiety can mess up your driving worse than lack of preparation for sure. It seemed more like anxiety to me and I think she could've passed if that white car at the beginning didn't stop for her to turn and she didn't get flustered
The examiner also needs to leave her emotions outside the DMV. Her anger is just making the sudent more nervous therefore increasing the unsafety of her driving.

After 10-20 years you may become convinced most of the human beings have an IQ of no more than 55, creatures who can't understand simple instructions(because you are a professional, and they are not). The examiner was super patient, having all the reasons to become nervous.

When i took my test at 18, my instructor was a dude probably 300lbs and he just closed his eyes and asked me to put on the AC and only opened his eyes to direct me where to turn then closed them again. To this day where im 23 that was hilarious XD

To be fair, being able to drive under pressure is one of the points of the drivers test, if you crack and forget all your abilities you clearly are not ready to drive free on the road.
ok... i understand that this person was clearly not ready for the test.. but i don't believe that DMV Examiner was ready to deal with someone like them. Raising your voice and showing you're frustrated only makes the driver even more anxious and more likely to make mistakes..
The instructor seemed neutral and some what understanding about nervousness at the beginning but it changed when the student started making 2 mph turns in the middle of a street

The examiner failed too. I would require further education on her part to continue working as an examiner.Ok, obviously the driving was terrible. I’m critiquing the examiner. Once she realizes the driver is unsafe, she should be firm and urgent but not rude and condescending. Not out of driver’s ego, but for the driver’s state of mind. This examiner hasn’t prepared herself enough to deal competently with incompetence and lack of safety. Her tone can be firm and urgent and not like hers, which only further increases the driver’s anxiety, making her driving all the more unsafe. The focus becomes safety first and foremost, and this examiner played a role in further errors. The driver has her blame, but I am speaking of the examiner and her responsibility as an employee who should know how to handle these situations. (Not to mention if she felt that unsafe, then pull over and drive the rest of the way.)
I failed my first test because my examiner was so rude to me from the beginning that it gave me an anxiety attack and I kept making mindless mistakes. I retook it two days later and got a perfect score 😂 good luck guys

Failed mine first time since i wasnt familiar with my moms car and i was having a panic attack since i wasnt only driving the examiner but i was also driving her boss who was sitting in the back seat it made me super nervous tbh but they were very patient with me and they told me the mistakes i got 2 days later i made 2 mistakes 1 for not useing my windsheild wipers in time and 2 i forgot the headlights i almost passed but it was raining and i had less experience with driving in the rain
They keep mentioning in the video the instructor is fearing for her life and all... it really doesn't seem like it if she's making the driver even more nervous than she is. If she wasn't driving well before, she's definitely not going to after the way she's being spoken to.

99% of drivers would have gone then, if you can safely beat them through the turn then it's not a problem in reality. Obviously chancing it in front of a moving car is a different matter.

The instructor was so delayed with her instructions and then proceeds to raise her voice at the driver who is already under more stress um sis if your worried about your safety maybe try to give your instructions on time in order to avoid stressing out the driver more and risking an incident
What’s funny is that i took my test at this same dmv with this SAME instructor, and she was actually sweet. Literally mid test we started making small talk and she was so funny

The instructor was very rude & would make most people anxious even if they knew how to drive perfectly fine. The instructor could of handled the situation far better but she only made matters worse.
The number one reason that students fail has nothing to do with their actual driving skills, don’t be nervous. It’s ok to feel awkward or even to mess up once, but don’t let that dictate the rest of the test. One mistake is not an absolute fail, they also look at your ability to correct to the mistake. Go take your test, you can do it!!!

this horrible instructor told the driver to do things LAST minute. She raised her voice and began to be rude to the driver. she should be fired. no examiner should act up like that in any situation if you freak out they freak out.
Skurtvm I think the instructors are prepared for these type of situations, it’s just up to them to either be really tolerant or just plain rude. Either ways the student didn’t prepare well enough, so who’s to blame really?
It’s not that instructor. It’s how they are trained. If for whatever reason you are faced to do something in traffic such as a hard break, a swerve or whatever the case may be where you have to think in a split second to avoid an accident you need to be able to do it without hesitation. They say these things last minute for that’s specific reason. You don’t get in a car and start driving and notice traffic all of a sudden stop and you think about whether you should stop or keep going do you? No you react that second and hit the breaks or swerve to avoid it (if clear to). If your driver instructor did things to slowly than you might want to consider retaking it🤷♂️
Even so, she was creeping into the intersection the whole time. That other driver was probably wondering if the student driver was going to stop or not. That's called defensive driving, and I see nothing wrong with what the white car did.

I think driving testers seem to interpret being "neutral" as "I must be stern and cold to the student" and that's really bad! As someone who failed his driving test the first time with an instructor who was extremely cold and irritable, but then passed the second time two weeks later with an instructor who was neutral but still warm and gave directions with enthusiasm and even made a joke during the test (this didn't distract from the test, it was just an ice breaker and it honestly put me so much at ease), it's not against the rules to show some decency in these situations. You can still show objectivity and adhere to the rules.
Well the thing is tho, there was parts where a crash could of happened. It’s clear this driver did not drive the hours needed while having their permit if their that nervous and made that many mistakes

If the examiner has to tell you how to drive then you failed if they are silent you are doing okay. They give directions but not on how to operate the vehicle.
The person in the white vehicle wasn’t even trying to make an effort to cross. Not her fault some people are just nice. Maybe they let her go. And its okay to be nervous, people act like u gotta be perfect 100% for everything. The instructor is getting quite angry which ain’t helping the students case. If u do what the instructor did yeah the student is gonna make stupid errors. U don’t ever get frustrated no matter how annoying or “bad” the student is doing. it only makes it worse. Towards the end of the video the instructor “feared for her life” oh bull crap, totally un-called for on the instructors end. Student did okay in my eyes

I’m from Australia, and idk how tests are conducted in America, but from my point of view, whilst the driver was extremely unqualified for the test and did make some bad choices, I can see the majority are made from nerves, and many were due to the poor handling of the instructor. No matter what, you should NEVER scold a learner driver during their test. Even if they’ve fucked up. It only serves to make them more nervous and make a catastrophic mistake. During my test I almost hit a bus and ran the car into the sidewalk yet for the rest of the test my tester was calm and friendly. Being a driving tester means having the patience of a saint. And you should never put the learner under pressure to “go faster” or move off from a stop sign before they are comfortable. I’ll bet she passes next time with a different tester.

She wasn't driving dangerously at all, complete opposite. @@ace2k472 well actually there where times where she was driving extremely slow on the turns and she actually was driving over the speed limit in a neighborhood and was going really fast she also missed the dmv entrance it just shows how she is not as used to driving the examiner told her multiple times before she even got close to the dmv but I do think that white car was fucking slow af and she had every right to cut them off because she was already almost in mid turn when the white car drove up, even though the driver was driving unsafely I don’t think the examiner should of gotten aggressive with her she should of showed that she was a little upset and stopped because when you start showing aggression and getting loud it will stress out and scare new drivers and Make them panic and might even crash. But this driver definitely did not deserve to pass.

It's very clear the girl was nervous and yes, she started with minor errors, but pay attention in how that lady raised her voice to her and give the other direction with annoyance in her voice. She should be fired. It's like she was born a professional. And this is what gets me from some people in the road, they think they were never in that freaking nervous positions.
The instructor was very impatient, I would say bad advisor she is making the situation even more of nervous wreck. The instructor has to be calm unless of course... the driver is crazy insane on the road. Like literally like “GOO MAM GOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO”. We’re new drivers... we take time and use our signal and look in case anything happens.
I feel like even if someone has been practicing drving and has become a really decent or good driver, I think its the idea of someone keeping a score and watching your every move is what makes it very nervewracking. But I do agree with both sides of the people in this video. The examiner is frustrated because ouf how slow the driver was turning, so I feel like I would be a bit irritated as well, and for the driver, I would have been so nervous at the fact that the lady had a bit of an attitude. It was only after I started driving with my mom did I get really good. I passed both tests with flying colors and now I'm really good at driving.

I believe the examiners need to be more patient with beginner drivers because when they start yelling and become frustrated it makes the driver more nervous. But I do see where the girl needed lots of more practice and common sense.

But either way, no she wasnt ready but to say she had no experience at all is reaching. She knew what to do she just was to scared to do it and do it right. Just because you have six months of experience in a job doesnt make you an expert, you're still new to the job, you're still a beginner is what im getting at.

It is not about if a car stops or not, if a pedestrian cross from middle of the road most cars will stop. It doesn't mean the pedestrains are right. You don't follow the yield rules you fail, simple.
If you think this instructor is rude, you have no idea how much worse it gets. My guy was the biggest douchebag I've ever met in my life. I passed but at the end he's like "just put me out of my misery" because at the beginning I got extremely confused and thought the car was already on when it actually wasn't. He roasted me nonstop and couldn't wait to get out of the car at the end even though the actual test went perfectly. This woman isn't rude, she's just frustrated with a clearly incompetent and unprepared driver. I was super prepared, I just got thrown off because everything in my car was lit up, so I assumed the engine was on lmao.

In general the student was nervous but ultimately that instructor needs to be fired, she was inpatient and raising her voice at a nervous student with such an unprofessional tone.
She wasnt though. The driver didnt yield to oncoming traffic, was going way to slow in an intersection, took corners too slow or too fast. All things that can cause accidents and put people lives in danger, the instructor didnt start "raising her voice" until about half way through the test when she felt unsafe in the vehicle with that unprepared and unsafe driver. She was very nice about it except when she missed the turn to the dmv which was posing even more danger😊

She may feel uncomfortable, but she should not let out her discomfort and agitation on the student. She should give her a proper evaluation afterwards and try to help the student by making her feel at ease. Any instructor or anyone with common sense knows that berating someone who lacks confidence will only make things worse.

Doesn't the driving school teach how to drive where you live? My parents never let me into their cars before I took the driving test, but simply because that's supposed the instructor's job, who has a "special car" for learners with pedals on both sides, so that if you mess up he can stop or accelerate to avoid getting in a car crash. Where I live you can't take the test if you haven't driven with your instructor for at least 20 hours, during both day and evening, on main roads and urban streets

I understand that this instructor is just trying to do her job and keep everybody safe but if i was taking my test and she was yelling "GO MAAM" in that tone i would be even more nervous and more likely to mess up somehow.

Yelling at the student just because you’re nervous is going to fluster the student, to be honest I totally understand why she failed the test, it was because of her examiner/instructor, but don’t get me wrong - she did make a lot of faulty errors
The girl was obviously unprepared, making turns is the easiest part of the test but it also shows the most of your ability. However, the instructor was unnecessarily short with her, obvious had a bad day or something, made her more nervous for no reason.
I may be wrong but after the instructor realizes someone failed, it probably changes their attitude completely. In fairness at that point they are just kind of pretending that everything is ok when in reality they don't trust your driving ability in the least. It doesn't justify the behaviour in my opinion but it does at least provide context as to why the instructor was so snappy.
I took my test today with perfect score. And before today I almost got in a crash and the lesson we should from this is to be confident in your driving and take it easy

the point of the DMV test which is already made super easy to pass in the US is to make sure someone can drive, and also drive SAFELY even when the driver is uncomfortable. the instructor shouldn't be friendly or try to comfort the driver, they need to be cold and stern enough to apply a moderate amount of pressure on the driver. if the driver is uncomfortable driving with moderate stress and their driving becomes dangerous due to that, then they aren't ready to drive by themselves.

@@jackzhang1980 I have taken 30 driving lessons at a traffic school here in Sweden, it's 80min each lesson. We have also a more difficult theory test than in the US. We also need to do a test on a controlled slippery road and take a 3 hour long course about dangers in traffic(drugs and tiredness). I have my driving test tomorrow and I do feel nervous even though I know I'm a decent driver by now. But the American driving tests are a joke, it's way to easy to pass.

I personally wouldn’t say that people get nervous when they have lack of practice. I was extremely nervous while taking my test and I practiced every chance I got for around 3 months prior to the test. Some people have really bad anxiety prepared or not.

I’m this way with tests in general. In school I’d ace class work but when it was time for a test I’d overthink, second guess and muck it all up.
When doing my driving lessons I was a good driver, my instructor even said so. Yet when I did my test I made minor mistakes I’d never made before on routes I’d already done correctly before. (Still passed) but the anxiety and pressure definitely f*ked me up 😂😩

Drivers Ed...the test they give in that are much easier. There's also literally no reason to be nervous because the instructor is someone you've know for over a month. My instructor was literally the one who taught me to drive and gave me my test.

yeah fr. it actually looked like while she was pulling out the white car was still coming to a stop. so honestly even though there was no stop sign there i feel like the instructor was just being a dick to fail her for that. she didnt hold up traffic, she really didnt CUT the guy off. the white car didnt like speed up then instantly stop because of what she did. the white car actually didnt even move after stopping so idk. yeah its the law but how often do people actually follow the law while driving? i swear 90% of people dont understand yield laws so i wouldve just went here. Especially with the black SUV infront of the white car. if anything i think that black SUV had the right of way as he was infront of the white car, and she pulled out WITH the suv. lots of variables here I bet its just a instructor to instructor thing, some wouldve failed for it some might not.

Because she still knows how to drive. Although she did make a critical error, she still has the proper skills to drive, it’s just the anxiety and stress that’s causing her to make mistakes. If she was a big enough threat to the point where she could cause a major accident, then probably they would have to pull over but their not going to stop the test just because she cut someone off

We stress because there is someone near us judging and grading our driving, not because we didn't prepare enough.
You have to be able to handle that pressure. They make you take the test in a low traffic zone. Just imagine having to drive during peak hours by yourself with no preparation. It would be a disaster

The examiner was making it worse by expressing frustration and stressing out the driver. Yes, the driver definitely needed more practice. However, she was already stressed out and the examiner should've kept her frustration to herself not only for the driver's sake, but also to minimize the risk of a crash.

I don't think she was being overdramatic necessarily. The driver made very critical mistakes that could have potentially endangered the lives of the instructor, her, and other drivers. Like the video stated in the captions the instructor was skeptical about the student's ability to drive safely as she was doing things that could have caused an accident. The instructor's intention wasn't to be rude, she was being stern with the student because the student was not driving safely.

That’s how my teacher was when I was 16 it freaked me out because I already have anxiety and it made me an anxious driver. I passed but now every time I drive I panic because of him yelling at me 😂 I think other people are doing the same
They’re supposed to put pressure on you that way they can see how well u can actually drive even when under pressure
As an examiner, I personally wouldn’t have discontinued the test based on that first mistake, because for new drivers it can get quite confusing when the oncoming car stop when they have right of way. After that one mistake, the examiner’s tone and commands flustered the student and it spiralled down into chaos for her. Biggest thing for new students is to calm your nervous and move on from your previous mistake and not let it affect your overall drive test.
How did she have to yield to him when: #1 she was there before him and he fully stopped for her. #2 it is two lanes so neither car had "the right away" and both could safely go at anytime. Edit: Ignore me if the white car was going straight I thought he was turning right (I cant tell)
@@devonr7497 White car was turning right, but she still has to yield for the white car since it’s the white car’s right of way. Traffic turning left on lights even if it’s green has to give way also doesn’t matter if it’s a two lane. Left turning traffic must always yield.

the same reason why dual control learner vehicles almost never have an accelerator (gas pedal) on the the instructor side. Instructor can stop you with brake and clutch controls whenever he wants but can never push you into a situation.

When i took my test at 18, my instructor was a dude probably 300lbs and he just closed his eyes and asked me to put on the AC and only opened his eyes to direct me where to turn then closed them again. To this day where im 23 that was hilarious XD

The examiner failed too. I would require further education on her part to continue working as an examiner.Ok, obviously the driving was terrible. I’m critiquing the examiner. Once she realizes the driver is unsafe, she should be firm and urgent but not rude and condescending. Not out of driver’s ego, but for the driver’s state of mind. This examiner hasn’t prepared herself enough to deal competently with incompetence and lack of safety. Her tone can be firm and urgent and not like hers, which only further increases the driver’s anxiety, making her driving all the more unsafe. The focus becomes safety first and foremost, and this examiner played a role in further errors. The driver has her blame, but I am speaking of the examiner and her responsibility as an employee who should know how to handle these situations. (Not to mention if she felt that unsafe, then pull over and drive the rest of the way.)
I failed my first test because my examiner was so rude to me from the beginning that it gave me an anxiety attack and I kept making mindless mistakes. I retook it two days later and got a perfect score 😂 good luck guys

Failed mine first time since i wasnt familiar with my moms car and i was having a panic attack since i wasnt only driving the examiner but i was also driving her boss who was sitting in the back seat it made me super nervous tbh but they were very patient with me and they told me the mistakes i got 2 days later i made 2 mistakes 1 for not useing my windsheild wipers in time and 2 i forgot the headlights i almost passed but it was raining and i had less experience with driving in the rain
They keep mentioning in the video the instructor is fearing for her life and all... it really doesn't seem like it if she's making the driver even more nervous than she is. If she wasn't driving well before, she's definitely not going to after the way she's being spoken to.

The number one reason that students fail has nothing to do with their actual driving skills, don’t be nervous. It’s ok to feel awkward or even to mess up once, but don’t let that dictate the rest of the test. One mistake is not an absolute fail, they also look at your ability to correct to the mistake. Go take your test, you can do it!!!

It’s not that instructor. It’s how they are trained. If for whatever reason you are faced to do something in traffic such as a hard break, a swerve or whatever the case may be where you have to think in a split second to avoid an accident you need to be able to do it without hesitation. They say these things last minute for that’s specific reason. You don’t get in a car and start driving and notice traffic all of a sudden stop and you think about whether you should stop or keep going do you? No you react that second and hit the breaks or swerve to avoid it (if clear to). If your driver instructor did things to slowly than you might want to consider retaking it🤷♂️

I think driving testers seem to interpret being "neutral" as "I must be stern and cold to the student" and that's really bad! As someone who failed his driving test the first time with an instructor who was extremely cold and irritable, but then passed the second time two weeks later with an instructor who was neutral but still warm and gave directions with enthusiasm and even made a joke during the test (this didn't distract from the test, it was just an ice breaker and it honestly put me so much at ease), it's not against the rules to show some decency in these situations. You can still show objectivity and adhere to the rules.

I’m from Australia, and idk how tests are conducted in America, but from my point of view, whilst the driver was extremely unqualified for the test and did make some bad choices, I can see the majority are made from nerves, and many were due to the poor handling of the instructor. No matter what, you should NEVER scold a learner driver during their test. Even if they’ve fucked up. It only serves to make them more nervous and make a catastrophic mistake.
During my test I almost hit a bus and ran the car into the sidewalk yet for the rest of the test my tester was calm and friendly. Being a driving tester means having the patience of a saint. And you should never put the learner under pressure to “go faster” or move off from a stop sign before they are comfortable. I’ll bet she passes next time with a different tester.

She's an examiner, not an instructor. It's her job to ensure the driver is either safe or not driving.
It's very clear the girl was nervous and yes, she started with minor errors, but pay attention in how that lady raised her voice to her and give the other direction with annoyance in her voice. She should be fired. It's like she was born a professional. And this is what gets me from some people in the road, they think they were never in that freaking nervous positions.

I feel like even if someone has been practicing drving and has become a really decent or good driver, I think its the idea of someone keeping a score and watching your every move is what makes it very nervewracking. It was only after I started driving with my mom did I get really good. I passed both tests with flying colors and now I'm really good at driving.

If you think this instructor is rude, you have no idea how much worse it gets. My guy was the biggest douchebag I've ever met in my life. I passed but at the end he's like "just put me out of my misery" because at the beginning I got extremely confused and thought the car was already on when it actually wasn't. He roasted me nonstop and couldn't wait to get out of the car at the end even though the actual test went perfectly. This woman isn't rude, she's just frustrated with a clearly incompetent and unprepared driver. I was super prepared, I just got thrown off because everything in my car was lit up, so I assumed the engine was on lmao.

In general the student was nervous but ultimately that instructor needs to be fired, she was inpatient and raising her voice at a nervous student with such an unprofessional tone.
She wasnt though. The driver didnt yield to oncoming traffic, was going way to slow in an intersection, took corners too slow or too fast. All things that can cause accidents and put people lives in danger, the instructor didnt start "raising her voice" until about half way through the test when she felt unsafe in the vehicle with that unprepared and unsafe driver. She was very nice about it except when she missed the turn to the dmv which was posing even more danger😊

She may feel uncomfortable, but she should not let out her discomfort and agitation on the student. She should give her a proper evaluation afterwards and try to help the student by making her feel at ease. Any instructor or anyone with common sense knows that berating someone who lacks confidence will only make things worse.

Doesn't the driving school teach how to drive where you live? My parents never let me into their cars before I took the driving test, but simply because that's supposed the instructor's job, who has a "special car" for learners with pedals on both sides, so that if you mess up he can stop or accelerate to avoid getting in a car crash. Where I live you can't take the test if you haven't driven with your instructor for at least 20 hours, during both day and evening, on main roads and urban streets

I may be wrong but after the instructor realizes someone failed, it probably changes their attitude completely. In fairness at that point they are just kind of pretending that everything is ok when in reality they don't trust your driving ability in the least. It doesn't justify the behaviour in my opinion but it does at least provide context as to why the instructor was so snappy.
I took my test today with perfect score. And before today I almost got in a crash and the lesson we should from this is to be confident in your driving and take it easy
No disrespect to the driver, but I don’t think English is her native language. She might have been confused a couple times the instructor was saying stuff
the structure was not a very good at all, shes sounds very condescending and annoyed. Its veryy unsettling and makes me feel bad for the person taking the test

You would be annoyed too if your life was jeopardized because someone choose to do their driving test without enough practice. They could have gotten into a serious accident.

No, if you can’t handle a little pressure, then you shouldn’t be driving. She had every right to be stern thats her job. The driver was being extremely unsafe

Instructor shouldn’t be an instructor, if you’re quick to get nervous an catch and attitude perhaps don’t try your patience with nervous new drivers. She’s a jerk imo.
nah. she was making dangerous maneuvers and holding up traffic. if she want stem with her and correcting her mistakes quickly it could have caused an accident. if you’re that nervous taking your test you’re simply not ready to be on the road alone
The student is mostly the blame for this though. The driver was making 2 mph turns in the street after all.
the point of the DMV test which is already made super easy to pass in the US is to make sure someone can drive, and also drive SAFELY even when the driver is uncomfortable. the instructor shouldn't be friendly or try to comfort the driver, they need to be cold and stern enough to apply a moderate amount of pressure on the driver. if the driver is uncomfortable driving with moderate stress and their driving becomes dangerous due to that, then they aren't ready to drive by themselves.

chimi Her tone could have been gentler, but I don’t think she was being rude. This lady was unprepared and was a danger on the road, so I’m sure the instructor just wanted to quickly get back to the the DMV. And if she was being “rude” I hope the lady learns from this and will practice safe driving so her life and others aren’t in danger.
HydroGen instructor might've been nervous she was stopped in the middle of the road while she was supposed to be turning 🤷♂️
