    You just confirmed my suspicions, Standard range tops out at 102 KW. For V2 charging, highest I've seen is 119 KW on long range. This tells me Standard range will probably top out at 200 KW at V3, still pretty good.

    Hey Anthony, do you mind making a video about how the standard range plus option works for you? Can you maybe answer questions like how often do you need to charge,how often you drive, do you regret getting the standard range plus over the long range, etc. I ask because I really can’t decide which one I want and I’m kind of leaning toward standard range plus because it’s cheaper 😂. Thank you!

      One Kick Man I’m in the process of making the 1 month review video but in short... standard range plus is my choice ;) if you wanna use my code id appreciate it.

    Nice! It’s great to know the super chargers work so fast on the SR+.
    Curious what your home charging set up is. Some people simply use their old dryer’s wall outlet and they can charge around 20-30 miles per hour.

    • @Tonyinflorida
      @Tonyinflorida  5 років тому +3

      D Turtle Right now I’m just using a wall outlet which gives me about 5 miles an hour, I’m soon going to install a NEMA 14-50 outlet.

      AARON IBARRA not really. If you can live with charging overnight you’ll probably reach your set max charge by the time you wake up. Just 3 hours of charging will get you about 60 miles of range, which would cover most people’s commutes.

    Thanks for showing how the GPS NAV screen works. It’s a good looking screen, but I think I’ll still use google maps on my phone because that will show traffic and route according to traffic to give you alternative routes to choose from. Thanks for the awesome video.

      Google maps on Tesla NAV screen does that.

    What happens when you touch that lightning bolt on the lower right hand corner of your map? I think that it will bring up all of your local Superchargers! Please let me know. Thank you so much 😊

    I think when the battery pre heating update is pushed the v2s will eventually be able to push 120kW

    How’s the quality control / build quality? Have you noticed the panel gaps, paint, or rubber seal issues that early adopters experienced?

      D Turtle Everything looks pretty good, I can do a walk around video soon. There was a scuff on my chrome trim but I’ve gotten that replaced. (A rock hit the trim)

    Hey, really enjoying the videos. I’m buying a Standard Plus in 2-3 weeks. What’s your opinion on the amount of range? Is it enough for you? I don’t want to do a longer loan in order to get the long range so I might stick with standard range. I’m also in MD so our winters get into the 20s and sometimes 10s. I wouldn’t drive a ton in that anyways. I know from my house to The beach (ocean city) is 177 miles. Do you think I’ll be ok with a standard plus?? Also how’s the audio quality in your car since there are no subs? Thanks man appreciate your videos!

    • @Tonyinflorida
      @Tonyinflorida  5 років тому +1

      Thanks for the support :-) I believe 240 miles is perfect for anyone and everyone! I definitely believe with your commute the standard plus is a must have. As for the speakers, yes they are still extremely awesome!!!! Way better then my 2016 Avalon which does in fact have a subwoofer. I’m gonna see if I can add an official subwoofer in the future though. Anyways I’m glad you enjoy my videos and when you do order that special car I hope you’d consider using my referral code! ❤️

      ProjectNova0 I will gladly consider using your referral code, so you charge with a regular home outlet? Is it a pain that it only charges like 4 miles an hour? I’m debating if I need a home charger, o know I’ll be driving near 50 miles a day, sometimes over 75

    • @Tonyinflorida
      @Tonyinflorida  5 років тому +1

      ladiesmn54 I’m actually installing a NEMA 14-50 outlet today, I was charging at 5 miles an hour but now I’m hopefully going to be charging around 20 miles an hour

      ProjectNova0 who was the electrician company if you don’t mind me asking? Do your have a garage or is it outdoor? And what was the total cost of installation? (If you don’t mind answering).

      @Tonyinflorida  5 років тому

      ladiesmn54 My friends an Electrician so he’s installing it for 50$ and the supplies were around 180$. It’s also being parked in a garage.

    do you have the latest update 2019.8.5? peak charge rate should be 145kwh on superchargers v2. v3 will be even faster.

    • @Tonyinflorida
      @Tonyinflorida  5 років тому

      Jack Tang I have the latest update

    • @jtang2009
      @jtang2009 5 років тому

      @@Tonyinflorida Even before the update, charging should max out at 125kwh, when the battery is at optimal temp. These are rates achieved by LR3, so I wonder if SR+ is different or software locked to lower rate?

    • @Tonyinflorida
      @Tonyinflorida  5 років тому

      Jack Tang No I just believe my battery was high enough to where it didn’t need the max charging rate

    • @jtang2009
      @jtang2009 5 років тому

      @@Tonyinflorida looks like you started charging ~20% batt. it should only start to go below 100kwh above 50%.

    • @jamesoh2212
      @jamesoh2212 5 років тому

      ProjectNova0 your battery was probably not hot enough to accept the full 120kW
      I regularly get the full speed up to 50% so long as the battery is warm enough when I get to the supercharger.
      I’ve found on road trips that it takes quite a while even at highway speeds for the battery to get hot enough to accept a full charge speed. Traveling 10 miles isn’t gonna get it hot enough until the “on route battery warmup” feature gets released.

    Did you get the tint stuff sorted out?

    • @Tonyinflorida
      @Tonyinflorida  5 років тому +1

      Chase Thanks for asking, they said that the actual glass wasn’t damaged but tint was, so they’re going to replace it on Tuesday.

    • @blamesoft
      @blamesoft 5 років тому

      @@Tonyinflorida Good to hear. I was going to say that glass is a hard material and I imagine they use plastic card-like tools usually and physically can't damage glass.
      Thanks for the videos. They were helpful while waiting for my SR+ :)

    • @dturtle7893
      @dturtle7893 5 років тому

      Glad to hear that it turned out ok. It really did look like cracked glass but thought you might get lucky and find out it was just the tint after all.
      What made you decide to tint it at all? I heard it gets hot if you don’t. Is that what you’d found?
