Everybody loves the Matt Damon cameo, but the Lucy lawless cameo in the S&M club with the safe word is one of the funniest damn things I’ve ever seen in my life
When I first saw it, I was shocked to see Xena in it
@@stsolomon618 once i read a xena fanfic where her and gabrielle were doing freaky stuffs like that. it was so funny.
@@Richardwho-vv5bh😂
Also the two guys being named Hans and Gruber was top notch
@@Icemann383 funniest die hard reference of all time.
The Matt Damon cameo happened because the screenwriters of EuroTrip were his college friends and asked him to appear in their film while he was in Prague shooting another movie
Yup, he was shooting The Brothers Grimm, quite a different movie to this one, the reason his head was shaved was because he had to wear a wig in his other movie.
@@gpaje They should react to that movie as well, I enjoyed it when I saw it in theaters
The woman in the confessional in Rome is Mindy Sterling, who also played Frau (the woman who yells "SCOTT!!") In the Austin Powers movies.
You caught Vinnie Jones, but the guy who drove them from Bratislava to Berlin was the actor who played Boris in Snatch.
He's also the "Nice coat" guy from Batman Begins 😂
Rade Serbedzija is the actor's name.
He was also in Mission Impossible 2 iirc
...and was also the big-baddie in Val Kilmer's The Saint; a personal guilty pleasure watch 😂
Also, Vinnie Jones _was_ in Lock, Stock and Two Smoking Barrels.
"Scotty Doesn't Know" is a song u will NEVER FORGET Im 44 and still hum it daily. Bless u 2. Ur AWESOME.
"I have no idea what Matt Damon is doing in this..."
Matt was in Prague shooting Brothers Grimm, with his head shaved for a wig, and was able to give them a day for his cameo.
The sheer weight of hilarious cameos really make Eurotrip a modern classic.
He's also friends with the directors.
apparently Matt Damon has stated that Scotty doesn't know is the thing that is most said to him by fans
Oh, m'scusi! It's been 20 years and my friends and I still quote this movie, it's so good.
I constantly use the the phase "this isn't where I parked my car" it's a habit
same ^^
🎵Scotty doesn't know, Scotty doesn't know, Scotty doesn't know 🎵 LOL!
That song has been stuck in my head for years!😂
same
Scotty doesn't KNOOOOOWWWWW!!!!!
same and I had downloaded "Mail Mother F*****" as my email for years aswell it was awesome :)
SCOTTYS GOTTA GO!!!
@@Mathew_Fishwick811 It's all good until the Mail MF comes on while you're with your mom. I had to change it after that. LOL
I love that in the Wundersex club the two big henchmen are Hans and Gruber...as in Hans Gruber the name of the antagonist in "Die Hard" I think that is overlooked!
Scotty Doesn't Know is still one of the greatest songs ever created. I still listen to it on my playlist to this day.
Also, it's such an underrated movie. For those who watched it back in the day will never forget that Scotty doesn't know. I loved his friend getting a promotion after being MIA the whole internship.
@@Cadinho93 It was by Luxtra, wasn't it? Or Lustra or sth like that.
Crazy, the lead singer sounds totally similar to Matt Damon. So, it's technically not Damon singing in the movie, Idk if he even can sing. But most people think it is him.
This film is seriously underappreciated. I know it's silly and all that but it's just a step above the usual fare in this category. I've seen it several times and I still laugh every time Coop is talking to his boss on the phone. It's such a good bit. I heard people still download "Scotty Doesn't Know" from their favorite platform.
Yeah I personally think that it's just a tiny bit more cleverly written as opposed to American Pie and so on.
Totally agree. It's not just a raunchy comedy, it's warm and has a lot of heart. Underneath all the raunchy stuff and the comedy it's the story of a group of friends going all out to help and support another friend.
This movie is actually pretty stacked with a lot of well known comedians and really good character actors basically doing cameos!
*_According to Damon himself: He explains that he knew the writers and directors of EuroTrip - Jeff Schaffer, Alec Berg, and David Mandel - as they all went to college together at Harvard. The three of them got in touch with Damon while recording their movie and the actor was game to do a cameo._*
As an european myself, I can guarantee that everything you've whitness in this movie... is 100% accurate... We spent day and night boinking each other without any rhyme or reason...
(Honestly, I can't tell how our economy can handle it)
Scotty doesn't know! What a fun film😂
Matt Damon appeared because I think he is friends with the screenwriters and he was doing another movie nearby. He has also said when folks see him they usually say one of three things to him. 'Matt Damon', 'Where's Ben' and 'Scotty doesn't know'.
Being half Dutch-American, this movie is one of my all-time fave comedies. Also, being a fan of Manchester United, this makes me laugh everytime. The greatest team in all the land! 😂
Ohio Chapter. 😅
Btw, shhh, "Scotty doesn't know". 🤫 😂
@@klass_1221 When I found out what the real ManU song was I laughed my ass off! Liverpool has a much better song 😉
"Scotty Doesn't Know" - Greatest song ever written for a film.
Also, one of the greatest collection of cameos ever for a film: Matt Damon, Thomas Lennon, Lucy Lawless, Diedrich Bader, Fred Armison, Vinnie Jones, David Hasselhoff.
My favorite part of this movie is Jamie selling his camera so Scotty can get to Rome. In a movie filled with hilarity and sex, it is a stand out touching moment.
This movie might be the most underrated comedy EVER. Every actor is perfect and Matt Damon is just awesome. Best and most unexpected scene ever.lso Cooper is COMEDY GOLD lmfao. I love this movie.
this film is great! it holds up really well because it barely depends on pop-culture references, and all the 'stereotype' jokes are made in good faith without being deliberately offensive.
I say "Mi Scusi" all the time, this movie was great as an adolescent.
This movie is so much better than it has any right to be. So much fun.
Back in the mid 70s my family lived in Romania for a year. Their version of Eastern Europe isn't that far off from what we saw. Except for the exchange rate, alas.
The woman in the confessional was Mindy Serling from Austin Powers. “SCOTT!”
This was such a pleasant surprise when it came out. I had seen the original Road Trip in the theater and thought it was 'just ok'. When this came out, my friend wanted to see it, as he really enjoyed Road Trip. The laughs in this are so solid, and the performances (especially the best friend) have excellent comedic timing. Plus, Scott Doesn't Know! That song has been in my mp3 list for 20 years now, and when it pops up I still have to sing along. 😂😅
This is the story of BEST FRIENDS being best friends.
Twenty years later and “Scotty Doesn’t Know” is still a banger song I listen too
7:22 "Zusammen" is spelled with ONE "s" and TWO "m" .... and it's not a verb, it just means "together".... But I still laugh my ass off, every time I watch this scene. All the German speaking roles and the scenes in which they speak German in this movie (esp that truck driver 😅🤭) are actually VERY convincing, authentic Germans.... Which you don't get often AT ALL from Hollywood.
So this movie gets some extra credit just for that! 👍
My favorite part (besides "Scotty Doesn't Know") is when they tip the nickel and the guy can open his own hotel. I quoted that for years.
I love Vinnie Jones, the man is so underrated. My favorite role he plays was "Bullet Tooth Tony" in the movie "Snatch". Hilariously "Boris the bullet dodger" is also in this movie.
Oh snap i didnt know Vinnie Jones is 8n this 😂
Hes the guy in the London Bar (Manchester United), hes Englands "hard man" in the football world, he was relentless in his day, absolute legend in the UK 😅...wow
And Matt Damon too 😅😅
I wish I had a friend like Cooper sometimes. Dude is hilarious.
Ah yes, the movie of my people. Ohio class of 2004. I'm from the opposite side of Ohio though, pretty certain their HS was up in like Erie or somewhere which is basically PA.
Matt Damon did the cameo in this movie because he was in the area filming the movie with Heath Ledger called The Brothers Grimm
Fred Armisen on the channel two days in a row!
Not Another Teen Movie is AWESOME!
But must watch:
She's All That
Varsity Blues
Cameo for the ages, with - no two ways about it - a song that really is just darn catchy.
Rumor has it Scotty still doesn't know.
I’m probably going to be humming “Scotty doesn’t know” on my deathbed 😂
Cute "Mieke" was once the lead singer of the Trance act "Novaspace". They covered the 80's song "To France", it's pretty catchy!
She was so gorgeous.
37:10 - in the intro I guessed it would be this line hahahaha
Two Guys & Brother & Sister together. That's a reference of the Fantastic Four.
This is such a funny movie from that time. Glad you checked it out.
That song by Matt Damon is actually so good though.
If memory serves this was around the same time that Michelle Trachtenberg was on Buffy too.
The guy who plays Cooper (Jacob Pitts) plays a great long running supporting role in the tv series Justified which you should totally check out. It also has Walton Goggins from Fallout in it.
He's great in Justfied.
One of my favorite movies of all time
Just so you know....Scotty doesn't know Scotty doesn't know Scotty doesn't know!!!!😁😆😅🤣😂❤👏🙌🙏👍🎉
legend says that Scotty still doesnt know
Jeffrey Tambor played dad in the beginning was also the dad in the 1981 movie Saturday the 14th.
I always find it funny with this movie that all the European cities are shot in Prague, the train travel as well. They just slapped a landmark to the background and called it good. I do not think most people notice.
A must see for y'all is "Fast Times at Ridgemont High", 80's teen comedy with an entire galaxy of stars. The Sure Thing should also be on that list and also Streets of Fire.
Ah yes, takes me back to my teenage years lol....mi scusi, awesome reaction as usual y'all.
Scotty doesn’t know lol 😂🤣
This is just what I needed. Am escape from politics and BS. Thank you.
Hilarious film!!!
So glad she's watching it, "raunchy stupid comedy" well put TBR😂
Nice. I backpacked around Europe after highschool for about 18 months.
Cool reaction as always Schmitt & Samantha, you both take care and have a good night
Hello Daniel & Samantha!😊 Surprisingly, this film holds up well for rewatching. The screenwriters were Matt Damon's college friends and asked him to appear in the film. He was already in Prague shooting another film. Great reactions to Scotty Doesn't Know, oops I mean EuroTrip, Guys!!!🎬👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
9:12 Can't believe I never noticed the Underworld poster in the background.
seen this movie a lot. its crazy.and always funny.
Hope you two are having an great and awesome day ❤
Such an iconic movie love it
Glad you and your wife love it
Great flick. Scotty doesn't know will always be a banger. Have a great weekend y'all🤘🤘
watched this movie in the early 2000s and to this day scotty doesnt know song is still in all my mp3/phones
and used it as ringtone multiple times over the years too
So wild to see the actor who played Tim Gutterson on Justified play the goofy friend Cooper in EuroTrip.
Jacob Pitts has range.
5:54 "Scotty doesn't know! Scotty doesn't know! Scotty doesn't know! So don't tell Scotty!" 😂😂😂😂
XENA WARRIOR PRINCESS!!!
Mi Scusi!
23:38 Samantha eyes and face reaction lol 😂🤣
Another movie I think you should check out is a 1985 film called Gotcha, with Anthony Edwards (Revenge of Nerds/ER) I always like when people review EuroTrip it is so underrated
Awesome reaction of my favorite DreamWorks movie!!!!!!😊😊😊😊😊😊
There's a great quote from "This is Spinal Tap" - "It's such a fine line between stupid and clever."
SECOND HAND LION with Michael Caine, Robert Duvall & Haley Joel Osmont is a definite must for a wonderful comedy, adventure & love. You won't be disappointed. Love you guys & love watching your reactions.
this movie was very cool to watch on repeat
There's an alternate ending to the climax which was supposed to be realistic but got cut ( for good reason ). Its available on UA-cam
the train scene with fred armundson is my favorite part... "oh mi scuzzy" hilarious
Armisen
@@jamiemacdonald436 is it that important... Mr. PHD.. smh.. lol.. this guy
I always wished it was Mr Bean
Omg, you did not just drop this!! 😅🥹🥹
I LOVE this film. And dare I say it ... WAY better than Road Trip.
And Michelle Trachtenberg is one of my favorites, I'm currently rewatching Buffy! Terrific actress.
Matt Damon has explained why he did the cameo in EuroTrip. The main reasons were:
1.) Personal connections: The movie was written by three of his college friends from Harvard - Alec Shaffer, Jeff Berg, and Dave Mandell.
2.) Convenient timing: Damon was already in Prague filming "The Brothers Grimm" when EuroTrip was being shot there.
3.) Fun opportunity: His friends asked if he would play "a Henry Rollins kind of insane, bad version of a suburban punk band guy" and Damon agreed.
4.) Family affair: Damon considered it a "family affair" as he had multiple connections to the project, including his college roommate appearing as the guitarist in the band.
5.) Willingness to commit to the role: Damon even allowed them to shave his head for the part, as he was wearing a wig for "The Brothers Grimm" anyway.
Lol i thought the quote was gonna be. "Thats not where i parked my car"😂
Man, I’m so glad this film is making its way back into the fold. Such a classic. An outstanding number of laughs per minute!
Love the Hans Gruber cameo.
One the best movies of all time.
THIS ISN'T WHERE I PARKED MY CAR!?
Also if you like the humor of this the director later went on the be the creator of the show The League which was rather hilarious.
Eurotrip is an odd duck in that it falls into the company of the "raunchy sex comedy" revival of the late 90s/early 00s, but it doesn't hang the majority of its identity on that like the others do. It's got the most broadly offensive stereotypes of all those films, but it's also the least malicious or meanspirited in that regard. It's often thought of as simple "dumb" comedy, but it's far smarter in its set-up and delivery than people give it credit for.
For my money, it's head and shoulders above the pack... and it stands up 20 years later so much better than the rest. Infinitely more quotable, too.
scotty doesn't know was on 90% of the cd's i burned in high school (saw it in 9th grade). it's still on one of my two playlists on my phone.
Thanks for the video!! See you later. Stay safe 😊
With my first name being “Scott,” I got that song quoted at me All. The. Time back in the day. Thank you, Lustra.
Cooper is the best friend in history. PERIOD.
I am writing this to help out TBR Schmidt, and Samantha and this video and this channel with the algorithm please everyone don’t forget to hit the like button and the share button. It helps these two amazing people a lot 🥺🙏
The Bratislava scene reminds me so much of the music video "The Drug" by Royskopp. Except that was shot in Detroit.
I know what's up.
🎶But Scotty doesn't know!!!!🎶
That’s why it’s important to schedule ahead with the Louvre, you can skip the lines if you book ahead ahead, it’s the difference between a traveler and a tourist
44:53 Watch 'Road Trip' from 2000. Literally THE SAME movie but just in America with Breckin Meyer, Seann William Scott, Tom Green, and DJ Qualls.
What's most charming about this movie is just the interaction of the characters between the crazy scenes. They really feel like friends and they all care about each other and there isn't, like, a "villain" friend.
I still use the Scotty Doesn't Know song in my ringtone rotation haha
Mi scusi, mi scusi!!
I quote this movie on a daily basis.
Love that "weren't going to be my cup of tea" is part of Samantha's vernacular. You're a step towards being an honorary Brit 🇬🇧
Scottie Doesn't Know is still so freaking iconic lol
I was a junior in high school when this came out, and my buddy was a BIG fan of EuroTrip. He was a fan of Michelle Trachtenberg (Girl twin) who was known mostly for being in Buffy the Vampire Slayer back then.
Definitely a lot of great cameos (Fred Armisen is the creepy Italian guy from SNL and now Portlandia), Kristin Kreuk was Scottie's cheating girlfriend known for Smallville, and Matt Damon with one of the most random cameos of all time, haha. Funniest part is that he had LITERALLY just done Bourne Identity two years prior, so to see him in this role, was even more hilarious than it is seeing it today.
Lastly, it was cool to see a little bit of Jeffrey Tambor (Scottie's dad) who is best known these days for the show Arrested Development, but has been a great comedic actor since the early 80s. I'm partial to his work too because he went to my alma mater--San Francisco State University :)
Yay for "Not Another Teen Comedy"!
I'll be waiting for that!
