I am an admitted and confirmed Angelinaholic, for which there is no cure. I have heard and follow many great singers, but none of them have affected me as this little lady has. Eva Cassidy did, but she was much older. Angelina's voice is like a warm hug anytime she sings. Learning her background not only in music but the other things she has already accomplished, and her attitude have put her upon a pedestal that nobody else will ever reach.

Jordan is remarkable! Taking a well-known Queen song and presenting it as a melancholy ballad is one thing. Add to that her stage presence. Then, her breathy vocals, weaving a spell around the listener. Truly unique! Brilliant!
Thanks for your nice first reaction to Angelina. It's hard to react to an interpretation like this, you can only be impressed by the fact that Angelina at only 13 years old was able to face a challenge with such an iconic song as this and made her become her own song, with a fantastic reworking, a calm, powerful and terribly emotional interpretation.
For me she is perhaps the most multifaceted and talented singer there is at the moment, if you think she is just turned 14 years. If you continue in her discovery, and I guarantee you that you have material galore, you will be constantly surprised and excited, because Angelina has that ability, with her slowed song and her soft voice, to go digging into the soul to make you move, which is really rare and she does it every time, since she had 6 years.
Angelina is not only what you saw in this perfect performance, she is much more, even very different, but everything she does is at a superlative level ❤️
If you want to understand how talented she is from birth, look at her 4 performances of Norway's Got Talent in 2014, those performances made during a few months are the her first public appearances, but you can already see what her was capable of and how her skills had improved in that limited period of time. You really really need to watch more of her stuff. She is an absolute phenom. A prodigy. Her voice is out of this world. As others have mentioned she has hundreds of videos, mostly covers of other songs but a few originals too. Watch “I put a spell on you” - she was 9 in that performance and your jaw will be on the floor - guaranteed. She won Norway’s Got Talent at age 7 singing old Jazz standards from Billie Holliday. Just an unbelievable talent.
I'm convinced she's one of those kids that remember their past life. How else do you explain singing like a soulful 40 year old at 6 years old.

Of all the dozens of phenomenal songs she's done, I highly recommend two: "Gloomy Sunday" and "I Put a Spell on You." "Gloomy Sunday" was her audition song on Norway's Got Talent (which she won) when she was seven, and she absolutely channels Billie Holiday. "I Put a Spell on You" (the black and white studio version) was when she had just turned nine, and it showcases her insane vocal talents like no other....oh, and she arranged it too.

Think of it , she took a iconic classic rock opera & stripped it down & turned it into a jazzy/bluesy soulful ballad. Please support her music, CD's, iTunes, ect.. Put her on your playlist...To help keep the Hollyweird marxist cult away from getting their claws into her. So many (even Disney) producers have been trying to get her to sign her. Her & her mom just tell them no, (she wants to finish school 1st). They would just ruin her & spit her out once they made their money off of her. I still remember that I was shocked in a positive way, and I have ever since that time been a fan. A fan of a child. I wouldn't believed it if you had asked me 10 years ago.
I have never been interested in the jazz music genre , but Angelina's interpretations of old jazz music classics has "opened my eyes" for that kind of music for sure, and in a way "touched me".

Performing barefoot is a vow she made when she's as young as 6. And she's committed to that until all the children in the world will have one on their feet.
When Angelina was 6 years old she was on vacation in the middle east when she came across a little girl working as a street vendor trying to make money. She approached the girl and they spoke for a while. It was cold and Angelina noticed the girl had no shoes and had scars on her feet. The girl complimented Angelina on her shoes, so Angelina took off hers shoes and gave them to the girl. Angelina has vowed to never perform in public with shoes on until all of the worlds children can afford clothes and shoes. 7 years later and she is staying true to that vow. It takes a special type of person to do that.
Angelina is a true phenomena. She has over 120 covers and several original songs on UA-cam. She will tailor her voice to the song she is singing, but always pours a ton of emotion and soul into everything she sings. I consider her the greatest vocalist of all time, and I do not make that claim lightly. I hope you continue on your Angelina Jordan, she will not disappoint.
What you did not say was that this was in Iran and that Angelina talked to the little girl in Farsi.
Angelina speak Norwegian and Farsi and she sings in English and at least ones in Japanese.

Ha, ha, never mind AGT (well, actually, don't miss the rest of her performances there - all equally as amazing), instead, just binge on Angelina Jordan. She has over 130 covers and originals floating around on UA-cam.
That voice has been causing those 'WOW' moments since she was six years old, whether she's singing to a 50,000+ crowd in a filled stadium (Alan Walker's Coming Home concert, the Nobel Peace Prize concert), or to just a select few (Quincy Jone's 85th birthday concert, where Quincy Jones personally requested she appear, or a private concert for Barack Obama and a few other world shakers), or just her and a guitar player sitting comfortably at her home (A Million Years Ago, You Were Always On My Mind), she will always amaze and astound you.

Angelina told her to never give up, and suggested they could pray for each other. She then removed her own shoes and gave them to the motherless girl. Hehe. Two things common two ALL reactions of this performance (and of basically anything Angelina sings): 1. "Wow!". 2. "I have chills/goosebumps/shivers" She is destined for greatness. As far as UA-cam is concerned she is already the best singer in the history of singing, just a lot of people don't know it yet.
She is special. While visiting Norwegian vocalists, you would be equally amazed upon hearing one of Angelina Jordan's idols (and the idol of Billie Eilish), Aurora. Aurora is a young lady, as well (now 23), who is on a whole different level and super creative. She is so spectacular that I suggest listening to her a-Capello for your first listen. My suggestion is the best a-Capello piece in the history of music:

I guess the mix up with her age winning Norway's got talent at seven or eight, is because AGT was recorded in fall 2019. At this time Angelina was 13 years old, so I guess she was told to say her age in NGT 2014 was seven, so it would fit the time scedule airing AGT in 2020 =)
But if that's the case, they could have just told her to say she was 14 because it was going to air after she turned 14. I think she just mixed up her ages when she _auditioned_ for NGT and when she _won_ it. If you haven't seen the "pre-interview" they did with her (not the one they aired, but one they did before that), the interviewer starts out by asking her, "You won _Norway's Got Talent_ when you were seven?" and she agrees. (I might not have the quote exactly correct… anyway, he's the one who suggested she was seven.) Then on the AGT stage she's asked how old she was and she says, "I was seven". An understandable mistake to make, I suppose, given that she probably doesn't care how old she was at an event almost 6 years in the past, as much as everyone else seems to. [grin]
