I love how structurally, this is almost the same intro beat for beat as one of kreisberg/Berlanti's other shows, the flash: 1) Synopsis of origin, with childhood tragedy (including the phrase "When I was a child") and the "inciting incident" of their respective pilots (Barry getting hit by lightning, Supergirl saving the plane) 2) Description of what their public "day job" is... 3).. followed by their secret "superhero" job 4) "I am... [insert superhero name]!"
I love her! I got the first book Supergirl Age of Atlantis!I will be getting the second one soon in May. Yes there are three books based upon the CW's show!(With Melissa Benoist on the cover and whoever drew her is a great artist to be able to make the drawing look like the real actress herself! Congrats to whoever drew her!)

I hope this show gets transferred to CW and then renewed at same time for another season, it will be good to get some more crossover episodes with the Flash.

Actually in most adaptations of supergirl, whenever they fight supergirl always comes out superior. The reason why is because supergirl is stronger. In the comics superman is the one that doesn't use his powers to his full potential at first while Supergirl from the gecko used her abilities irresponsible and to her limit making her more superior. Supergirl is more ruthless while superman always holds back. So yes supergirl can beat superman, but if superman didn't hold back then the battle can go either way. And this all happened in cannon.

She started out as a experiment to see if there is public interest on the character. Her popularity peaked in the 60's and 70's until she was killed off in 1985 because some writer wanted Superman to be the only one. Now her character is on a resurgence.
