Hard to believe that this doesn't include the moment in the season 1 finale when Kara decides to sacrifice herself to save the people of Earth by flying Fort Rozz into space.
When Alex & the gang finally gets her out of the fantom zone. Seeing Alex, a human, embrace her traumatized super-sister saying “I’ve got you”, through the end of an epitome and a whole following up one, is so powerful. Shining a light on relationships over mere strengths and on sisterhood over romance (it’s a not a man or a spouse that saved her, it’s her sister).
Melissa was soooo good as SuperGirl and I can never picture anyone else playing the part - her acting was fantastic and her kindness comes across in the character so genuine that you just know it is really a part of Melissa's true personality. She is a fantastic actress and her and Chyler gave us a fantastic show - I miss them very much - seems they should still be making new shows.

Watching the final scene of Supergirl hits me every time, I can't believe its over.
Especially with the sad soft music in the background, makes me want to cry.

I miss this show, and most of the cast (especially all the ladies, David, and Jesse) Melissa Benoist acted her HEART out in this role. Chyler too! They were the perfect choices for the leads.
My favorite moment is when Kara risks her civilian identity to save Lena after Lena was poisoned in season 3 and when she refused to drop Lena to save the chemicals after Lena was kidnapped by Edge

What about when Alex decided to stop protecting her sister and helped train her to be the best hero she could be. Also their talk after the Red K incident was one of the best scenes.
Great list. Supergirl was a great show the 1st 2 Seasons plus parts of Seasons 3 and 4. Love the show and Melissa Benoist as Supergirl Kara so iconic !!!

Don’t be cynical
This list really underscored how good the writing was in the first season and going into the second season. The CW aesthetic was needed going forward from season 1 at CBS, but the most important element was the writing (and having Cat pushing Kara didn't hurt). While the show always had its moments, it lost a little of what it started as IMO. Even so, those great moments throughout the series, in every season, made it worth it. After seeing so many superheroes get questionable presentations on TV since the '70s (tech wasn't ready for superheroes, yet), I was happy my favorite superhero (well, since the early 60s) emerged in an age where she could get the treatment she deserved. El mayarah.
I would say that the first, third, fourth and most of the fifth seasons are the best seasons of this show. The second season did have some of my favorite episodes like Mr and Mrs Mxyzptlkz and the Martian lockdown episode

When Supergirl proves to Coville and his followers that she isn't a god under the stadium. That and when she stops Olivia from making a new Worldkiller in Season 3 are amazing. Though there are MANY scenes in the show that I could list right now. Supergirl will always be a comfort show for me. I've watched it at least 20 times

Cat knew it was her since Supergirl introduced herself to her. That’s what of course it’s you” meant. The scene you mentioned was just the first opportunity she had to bring it up. The show goes out of its way to show she isn’t the airhead she tries to pass herself off as.
I would add convincing Livewire to fight Reign along side her as a great moment too. Or in the same episode when she convinced Livewire that she really is honorable by facing Reign depowered.

This is definitely one of the best live action DC Universe Superheroes TV shows I’ve ever watched on CBS and CW! As a diehard superhero fan and LEGO fan, I was kind of bummed that most of the characters from this spectacular series weren’t included as new DLC characters in LEGO Batman 3: Beyond Gotham! It would’ve made many of us have more Injustice vibes! At least Melissa Benoist NAILED her lines as the Girl of Steel with all kinds of strength, power, momentum, and plenty of attitude!

I really love Supergirl, a part where I really enjoyed was when she was with Lena and her secretary, then some Lex followers enter to L corp and Lena didn't let Kara alone so she had to keep them away as Kara and not as Supergirl, and if the Supercorp would've been canon I'm sure that would be the best moment of the serie

My favourite Supergirl moment was when she revealed her identity to Lena in season 5's first episode. Imo it was one of the most emotionally charged scenes of the show. It was practically what everyone was waiting for.

Ep. 6.4, Lena and Alex, "I need to bring Kara back." My favorite Supercorp moment that did not actually contain both Lena AND Kara (bonus, the Alex and Lena segment at the end of 6.4. With Scotch!).
Every single _millisecond_ of *Kara and Lena's reunion hug* in 6.8 (including "Kara leaned in!"). Supercorp fans had waited OVER TWO YEARS for this (REAL) reunion (that is, since Lena learned Kara was Supergirl, and their estrangement began). *_Supercorp Forever!_* 👩🏻❤👩🏼

The scene with Red Tornado was it for me.... Kara poured EVERYTHING into her heat vision and the audience could feel it.... Superman is my FAVORITE superhero and I've been at it since the black and white George Reeves Superman.... But Melissa was BORN for that role, like Christopher Reeves and Tom Welling...😎✌

Kara battle with Reign was her top fight. Why was that not in here?? Also, Kara stopping the Alien ship in Season 3? Also, the number 1 with Kara telling the world she is Supergirl goes against EVERYTHING the 100th Episode was about.

One of my favorite TV shows ever. Miss this show so much. Alex Danvers is one of my favorite LGBQ characters ever.
My favorite Supergirl moment was when she woke up after being infected with Red Kryptonite. How her sister forgave her and told her how much she loved her as a sister. It was a very good episode. Especially when Alex admits there was some truth to what Kara stated to Alex when she was infected.
Supergirl was a great show. I haven't seen the last season yet but I will. ❤

When Cat Grant figured out Kara was Supergirl, the one thing she drew as conclusion when she saw the 2 of them in the same room wasn't that they're not the same person. It was that she wouldn't want people to know they're the same, and would do a lot to keep that secret. Including deception, apparently. So she chose not to reveal her secret, even though she knew it. She's one of the few people who knew it so early on too, a real homie moment, even though Kara tought that simply her deception worked, and Cat let her believe that.
Loved when they were playing fleetwood mac changes at the end of the final episode

Something I'm curious about for the finale of the show when she reveals her identity, if supergirl is known as Superman's cousin when she reveals herself to the world can people figure out that she's also cousins with Clark Kent i.e. Superman
I don't think so cause there isn't really a connection between the Kent's and Danvers families and back in season 2 when cat asked Kara how she knows Clark Kent said oh he is Jimmy's friend

I honestly never hated this show but I can understand why people like Friendly Space Ninja do. From making a comic book character boring, nerfing them, some of its CGI and dialogue and the amount of times they preach social justice in storylines that don't belong. I never read the comics, but I agree the show has a lot of issues. But this show more than makes up for it with likable main characters, great worldbuilding, great villains like Reign and Lex Luthor and half the time they can tell a great social justice storyline. While I agree that the show didn't have a great start from the first and second seasons and slowly dipped in quality after Crisis on Infinite Earths, I can tell you that the third and fourth seasons are the best this show had to offer. I'm not gonna defend this show for its' genuine problems but I will attack you if you say this show had no redeemable qualities.
Friendly Space Ninja is an overrated hack.
I actually love Friendly Space Ninja and he's not wrong about some of the show's shortcomings, but he WAS wrong to say that Melissa Benoist was the only good thing about the show. He gave up on the show after watching the second episode of the third season. How would he know if she's the only good thing about it? He may hate this version of Kara and I will admit her comic book counterpart is a lot more interesting and wished that personality was explored on the show. But that doesn't make me hate this version of Kara at all.
Also he claims Queen Rhea tried to destroy the Earth because she was mad that her son and Kara were dating. She was mad because she traveled around space for years searching for her son only for him to reject her and date a Kryptonian. Worse, Earth worships TWO Kryptonians, a race of people who laid waste to her home planet because it was in close proximity to their self destruction. I get you don't like the show, but the least you could do is be a bit informed about the show's writing.
I think you needed to include the absolutely adorable story of Brainy and Nia. How they meet at the pizza place and Brainy is subject to some racism towards aliens such as himself and Nia standing up for him as a complete stranger was the cutest love story I have ever seen.
I am so, so, so glad they kept Lina good.
You should include the episode where Winn's father escapes from prison and Kara tells Winn that she would be lost without him, It really shows how much their friendship means to each other.

All of Brainy's moments were just top tier especially the ending of s5
This was a well adapted version of the Justice League episode where Superman is the victim of the black mercy from Mongol. To see what his perfect life is with a fusion of Kansas and Kypton with Lana as his wife but has Lois Lane's voice and personality and his parent were alive and Brainiac was a good AI was just weird. The best part was when they got it off of him and it landed on Batman and his perfect life starts with his Father Thomas Wayne beating up the guy who tried to rob them the night his parents were killed and little Bruce Wayne is cheering his Father on yelling "Get'um Dad!". The saddest part was Bruce forcing himself after hearing Diana's voice to make his Father then loose the fight and him witness his parents death all over again so he could get freed from the black mercy as Diana ripped it off of him.
I do like how Superman was sooo p!ssed and in Supergirl that showed her rage as well as the Black Mercy puts its victims in a perfect life prison that to escape one would have to sacrifice their hearts desire. Mongol descibed it as "It must have been like tearing your own arm off" . Great episode like I said to adapt as a Supergirl episode.
