The show can be cheesy at times, but they found the right actress to play the lead. She just needs better writing.
+BigNoseDoggie --- I thought the writing was pretty good in this scene.
+Dennis Bowers I meant the writing for the series in general.
+BigNoseDoggie I love the writing on this show honestly its Arrow i find frigging terrible
BigNoseDoggie it's in CW's hands now!!!! Thank god
The show's final season will be airing next year & unfortunately, this comment still stands true.
The show has several redeeming moments, dynamics & characters that will make you emotionally invest in them but needed better writing & plot development.
2:41-3:35 Amazing acting by Melissa. My favourite scene so far in the series. I have re-watched this SO many times
🙌 me too
Hi 3 years later I am from the future 😂
Same I love this scene
Hi 5 years in the future
Literally same even though it’s five years later xd
Her neck vein tho 🔥🔥🔥
So good.
It’s ok kara Melissa Benoist I know how you feel
While I do believe Melissa has some amazing acting in this scene, 3:32 sounds like a baby crying "she lied to me". Just my opinion though, don't come at me.
So? I thought the point here was for her to display a character who’s a child deeply torn over their parent disappointing them greatly
3:14 the little breaths she takes in between the lines... wow Melissa was really emotional during this. What an amazing actress especially considering she probably acted this in front of nothing/green screen.
She deserves an Oscar for this scene !
Ikrrr
I agree
mabye she enconter that kind of situation in her real life
it's probably unhealthy the amount of times that I have watched the scene at 2:46 but i love it so much and i can't stop.
Same!
Same even if it makes my heart: 💔
Same!
This scene showed just how great an actress Melissa really is! Her emotional range was perfect! I'm actually wondering if this was the scene that Ali Adler was talking about when she stated that there was a scene in which Chyler is present for as Alex and while Chyler and Melissa were rewatching it, Melissa started crying and Chyler went over and held her until she stopped. Because this was quite emotional for both of them to rewatch I'm sure.
+Supergirl Forever Nope that moment is in ep 10 i believe and it was outside not inside :}
+SpaceMechanic Biatch oh really? Well I'm looking forward to seeing what they were talking about!
+Supergirl Forever that is new to me and I'm intrigued. But unfortunately we still have to wait another two Mondays after today because next week will be a re-run (How Does She Do It?).
ip
which scene outside was it?
She brings out the best emotions in the biggest moments. You can FEEL the hurt when she yelled at the hologram. Very powerful performance by Benoist there.
Just like this scene, it was her fight with Red Tornado that I really felt her hurt and her loss. That pain-infused anger must have come from somewhere. Just incredibly powerful when her heat vision went into overdrive.
+Mike Barbre Absolutely agree. It's very rare to see female characters lash out the way that Kara does. Most women in films and tv shows would probably just shed tears and that's it. But Kara has so many more layers. She's sad, angry, hurt, grieving, and lost. I always enjoy when she gets angry and loses her self control. I feel that it's very similar to how I would react in her position.
@@fallenwingedangel this scene reminded me so much of Camren Bicondova's performance as Selina Kyle in the show Gotham when *spoilers season 3* Selina gets mad at Bruce for not telling her that her mother was a con artist who sought her out to get money from Bruce. You can see the barely controlled rage and it feels really authentic
Blake Jenner being cruel to her might have helped in that scene.😢
This scene and the scene where she killed red tornado are the best of season 1.
HECK YES. So glad they had a similar moment in Season 2 with Melissa raging and the tear-jerker music playing.
They were so emotional and her character is cheesy so these scenes bring so much depth. They were amazing
And the scene where she stops that robbery without her powers. The way it cuts back and forth between her and Cat's speech.
I for some reason read that as “This scene and the scene where the Red Torneo are the best of season 1” and I don’t know why 🤔
Melissa is so talented, this scene is powerful and there is so much emotions ! Well done
Wow... Don't be near Kara when she gets angry, you can end up like a chicken leg in a fryer.
hahaha thats a good one😂😂
she's not angry. she is so hurt and devastated by her mother's actions towards her aunt and people she just snap. this was her breaking point.
Lol no, she’s weak
@@CR7_THEGOAT777 she'll still snap your spine with a flick of her finger lmao.
@@thegoliath9310 idc, she is still weak, compared to ppl like DCEU Superman and MCU Thor
my heart breaks every time during this scene and especially when she like half whispers “she lied to me”, like her acting in this scene is phenomenal and brings me to tears every time
Never seen the show but DAMN what a good acting scene for that girl -
Totally agree with @TheEyeOfOdin and others, great acting here
"Kara Zor-El of Krypton... You have great rage in your heart..."
such and amazing actress. she delivered what kara felt to all the viewers.
she's not angry. she is so hurt and devastated by her mother's actions towards her aunt and people she just snaped. this was her breaking point.
Such a powerful moment. Well done.
supergirl is not a perfect series, but for sure melissa is the best actress for the role, that perfect acting
First time the show made me teary eyed. lol
And when she defeated red tornado?
I've watch this part so many times. I practically memorized the lines. Love this scene!!!
rose bud SAMEEEE!!!!
To be that emotional and yell at nothing. God what an amazing actress. Brava Ms. Melissa
i want to hug kara now.. 😢
This makes me weepy every time i see it.
Watching Kara attempt to get answers out of a robotic version of her mother was heartbreaking. It's said. The more she got to truly know her family, the less they looked like good people..
Great scene and acting! Melissa defo carrying the show, good in all emotional ranges so far. Show could write the dialogues a bit better, although the writing of the overall plot seems to be pretty meticulously written. This episode was very good. Full marks.
This scene seriously proves what an amazing actress Melissa Benoist is. This scene and so many other deeply emotional ones show her range and her authenticity. So real. Love her!
😎
Thsghvajg
supergirl is one of the most underrated shows ever. Melissa is by far one of my favorite actresses ever. While performing most of the scenes before a green screen she still looks amazing!! Imagine the whole scene without her fire Vision!!
I have no problems with this show. I really enjoy it. I am not looking for perfection. Just a TV show based in the DC universe that I enjoy, As well as Arrow and Flash. I love them all.
TheEyeOfOdin Zatcly in the span of a few years I've had scenes with Kara and Frank Castle make me cry
What a world we live in XD
God I miss how it used to be. This is the Supergirl I loved, this is what made it so good. Not them turning it into a political playground. As first I appreciated the representation and how cool Dreamer was and where the storyline was going but it’s just not the same
One of the worst things the CW did taking over this show was basically make Kara's scars from Krypton magically disappear
Back when supergirl was good
Back when your opinion still matters
@@literallynoone7712 ermm okay
3:21 lol what if she was actually standing there😂😂😂😂
😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
This is a pg show I dont think they would do that 😂😂
@@saberfan Tf, it’s not PG, it’s TV-14 🤨
It's this scene, Grants season one finale moment with his mom, and Stephens season one finale moment with Tommy (where he says "it should've been me") that are my trifecta of absolutely peak acting. Absolutely amazing
I just love how super girl and flash are like besties but at one time on opposite competing glee clubs
WOW the best acting I have ever seen. She showed so much emotion that I didn’t even know was possible.
She is such an amazing actress!! I LOVE how she puts so much emotion in to the character. Truly I think she is meant for this role. If they ever make a movie with super girl and superman together or just a movie of super girl in general than she deserves to play in it!! I just wish they made the show as great! :(
this scene made me cry and I just finished watching nat’s death
Melissa and Laura are so great in this scenes. I mean, Laura gave Alura and Astra very different patterns of personality and Melissa balanced the emotions in the scenes in a very wise way. Two forces of nature really.
Wow Melissa Benoist!!..3:22..perfect!! I love this SuperGirl!!
charlies angels meets supergirl who knew🤔🤔🤔
An absolutely perfect scene. Such power and emotion, by far the best scene in the series. Phenomenal acting!
Season 1 was sooo good
Wow super girl has anger
For the first time ever, I decided to watch supergirl from beginning to end. I have seen a TON of episodes and know a lot about this series already, but I wanted to actually get into the storyline and the characters. I just watched this scene. I never cry for TV, not ever, except once - when Tony Stark died. And I really started to cry during this scene. Very powerful, emotional, and intense scene. What an amazing character, story, and actor. Absolutely incredible.
I cried alot when i saw melissa crying...
I'm a big superhero fan and I was going to give Supergirl a miss because of how cheesy it looked at times but this scenes making me want to watch it now.
selleycopter PC u can on Netflix and cw
Only the first like... 4 episodes are cheesy but after that it really picks up. Especially season 2 so far is a masterpiece
I wish Kara’s feelings here were addressed when she reunited with her Mom later in the series
We're all here for the scene where Kara is with her 'Mother'
You're tearing me apart. ASTRA!
RAO! both those scenes with Astra and Alura was AMAZING! GOD! Both Melissa & Laura are AMAZING! the are SO THE BEST! and Kara crying always breaks my heart.
This show always makes me so fucking mad, it had so much potencial but they couldn't get good writers if it saved their lives. This scene always gets me and melissa's acting is phenomenal, I wish she could leave this show and get into an actual place that utilizes her skill.
No wonder she became a powerful red lantern in an alternate timeline. This almost brought me to tears when I first saw it just the change by Melissa the pure strength of emotion in her voice
My baby 🥺
🥺 (TOGA UR PFPPP!!!)
This show went from this type of greatness, to Blaaaaaaahhhhhh lameness. It's sad how it ended
Supergirl needed a better ending
I dont really enjoy this show... BUT! fuck me! That scene was fucking impeccable! Incredible acting.
Amazing scene so emotional
This may be a stupid and horrible teen oriented tv show, but this scene shows what Melissa Benoist could achieve in a better project.
This is honestly the best TV lines and emotional script to put me in tears
Work of art 👌🏼
250 whats the name of the song started in 2:50
ua-cam.com/video/HevX8UiIkQM/v-deo.html It's "Asking Mom For Answers" from the expanded OST!!! It just got released. :)
You left me,you left me alone..
Tell me guys should I start watching this or no, just keep watching the flash
+Chandler John You must... I started with this series two days ago and I don't regret anything. Now I watched 18 episodes and I can't wait for more :)
The first few episodes are a bit "meh" but I do recommend to keep watching after those. It gets better 👍👍👍
+Chandler John just watch both
its ok i guess. I love supergirl. I just dont love the show. I like it though, season 3 is getting interesting
Who does Kara look like? I can't think of it. - 3:28 .
blake lively maybe?
Imagine what Melissa could have done with actual competent writers. I mean, i love Grant and they all deserved better writers, but i think Melissa is better than Grant was. And Melissa arguably had the shittier writers. The scene where she is yelling at the hologram or whatever it was feels very real and is so raw
Omgggg i nearly cried 😓😓
Why am I crying
OMFG WHY CANT I BECOME SUPERGIRL I WANT TO FL Y AND be FREE AS A BIRD
This scene breaks my heart everytime I see it, i can feel her pain 💔
She and Loki both have something in common when finding out the truth: 3:06
3:33 😟
I dont lnow the whole story but her acting was so emotional it was amazing it made me tear up
WE all miss melisa and supergirl...Melisa benoist is the best female superhero the world has ever seen
3:32 my EX did to🤦🏾♂️🤦🏾♂️
Quien no lloro en esa escena😔✌🏻
this scene made me feel so much
The pain in her scream
seven years later and this scene is powerful, so emotional ;-; Melissa was amazing as supergirl
They concentrated on the other actors, Supergirl was the main character.. If they could showcase more of her real power and acting scenes like this one..
Did what we had to do. A dark path always follows these words.
Dark path doesn't mean evil, but it's highly prone to it...
This was the first scene I’ve ever seen, this is how I heard of this show, it was mind blowing
When I saw this scene I decided to give the show another chance. I felt the emotion and honestly I’d do the same thing if I had powers and I got that upset
wow
I wish Kara (aka Supergirl) was more comic accurate. To be honest, this supergirl is really Superman as most of her enemies are Superman’s enemies or counterparts of Superman’s enemies.
I want Kara who still struggles with adjusting to life on Earth. Be more distant but gets better and better at it with the help of Winn, Alex, J’onn, and especially Mon-El
I know how she feels i feel her
I love supergirl and Monel😄
3:06 Cara is so brave to yell at her mother
3:11
K instead of C.
Still watching it😭😭😭😭
truly one of the best acting scenes I've seen in the CW, I love how emotional this scene makes me feel its really impressive
Melissa BenoistSupergirl mom aloura :human what on krypton are you wearing me: is it a crime to wear the lions on krypton
The movie only taught me to not trust anyone anymore
Its actually a series
The show had so much potential if it would’ve had better writing. All the actors were amazing but Melissa and Chyler carried that show. I hope melissa gets to work on more projects that show her emotional range
Man, why did they fuck it up so bad when they clearly had it in them to create a good show.
Love how this got suggested to me 5 years after. I love this show and I’m gonna miss it dearly.
Dude this is one of my favorite scenes from this. It’s so emotional already and the music + tone of Melissa’s voice adds to it so much making it the perfect sad scene. You can clearly sense how much pain and hurt she’s in.
Many times the arrowverse seems kinda bad due to bad writing (undeniably great actors though) and then I see these scenes and I’m like: 😶😶😶😶😶😶😶😶😶😶😶🤯🤯🤯😲😲😲😲😲
I have spent days trying to find the episode that this is in thank you so much
Btw I still have a white kryponite aka the fear kryponite but I think it’s a healing kryponite crystal
Me:when my parents lie to me because they are protecting me 😭🤦♀️😑I can relate to kara
wow wow
wow wow wow
