Out of all the 'most anticipated' videos I've watched, yours has THE most unique picks. Thank you so much for sharing these - Queen of the Night sounds AWESOME.
Most of these books are way out of my comfort zone, but the way you describe them makes them sound so irresistible and I had to add them to my goodreads to-read list.
That thumbnail though! So great. I can't believe The Raven Cycle is going to be over :'( But I can't wait for The Raven King! The Queen of the Night sounds so great, and Every Heart a Doorway! Woo literary fantasy!
These books sound so amazing and I cannot wait to read some of them, especially the one with the Isabel Allende feel, by far one of the most amazing writers
I really enjoy your videos. As a PhD student trying to graduate, I'm always searching for some good non-academic reads. You've been my go to source for the last year. Since I am not a writer and know nothing about all things literary, I was wondering if you would consider doing a video explaining some of the literary terms you use in your reviews. I think it would be really enjoyable to view! Not only would I think the YA audience appreciate it (including us older folks who live for YA), it would also bolster the "technicality" of the literary devices used in YA lit. =D thank you! -Sean
I'm predicting you're gonna surpass your GoodReads goal! As a vampire enthusiast, as soon as I heard Impaler I was already scribbling down the title. And I Darken sounds awesome & I'm excited to see the character transformation.... But I'm also nervous because I'm getting Romeo/Juliet vibes from the synopsis.... Eeeekkk
Your thumbnail is me while I'm waiting for Pierce Brown's 'Morning Star' and Randi Pink 'Into White' :) I'm adding "The Queen of the Night' and 'Whisper to Me' to my list of books I'm looking forward to read!
Happy Birthday (belated)!!! Hope this year of life is filled with everything you need, and lots of great reads! Awesome list btw… jotted down a few titles! Thanks!
I recently have been taking more time out to read more as I find it's just a nice escapism from the everyday 'hustle & bustle', so coming across your channel is great for recommendations & reviews (as is also a way to keep up with any announcements regarding new music from you! ha) Much love!
I've never read any of seanan mcguire's works either but "every heart a doorway" sounds like it will be amazing and also heartbreaking. Which is really all you can ask for in a book lol
Oh, I talked about A Fierce and Subtle Poison in my Most Anticipated Books of 2016 video as well! It sounds lyrical and magical! I like your literary tastes!
Adding these books to my Goodreads list which is one of my goals for 2016 because I don't update it regularly. Lol! Also my Goodreads reading goal is 36 books and I'm so excited because I didn't do this last year so I wanted to participate this year.
Just curious, could you do a video about books you really did not like? Maybe some you absolutely could not finish because it could not hold your interest, or even some you finished that made you feel unsatisfied, and felt like it almost wasted your time.
Unlike a lot of other booktube videos, you have a lot in your video I haven't heard of it-- many I'm going to look up and order! Thanks! :) (Also as far as obvious picks go, I'm also dying for The Raven King!)
Queen of the Night sounds awesome, written it down for beginning of February. In addition to your books: I am excited about Jonathan Safran Foer's new novel Here I Am (due in September), his first work of fiction after a decade...
I'm excited for The Raven King as well! Ooooo, new Laini Taylor- I hadn't heard about that one yet. If it's anything like the Daughter of Smoke & Bone series, I'm in. I've been seeing buzz about The Queen of the Night and it sounds so interesting. I got a NetGalley email that called Into the Dim "Outlander for teens" and I was like, "Ok, sold, sign me up!"
Have you read any books by Ellen Hopkins? I just discovered her about an hour ago and I'm reading the synopsis to all her books and I CANNOT WAIT to get my hands on all her series lol
I'm looking forward to As I Darken after this video :D You have a way to convince me to pick up even more books! Anyway it sounds amazing, more villain-esque females please....and it's Kiersten White who has a great writing style, but usually doesn't interest me with her book's premises.
I hope you had a beautiful birthday! Wink Poppy Midnight sounds very interesting! What book(s) are you diving into at the moment? I can't even believe I'm saying this but...right now, I'm reading Harry Potter for the first time :insert monkey covering eyes emoji here:
All the Birds in the Sky is pretty good. It feels very fairy tale-ish with Sci-fi. Very different from what's out there. Your fear with the Joe Hill book LOLOLOLOLOLZ. I need to read The Raven Boys series. I have the first one, but... time. Yeah. ha. YES STRANGE THE DREAMER. IT DOESN'T EVEN MATTER. I WILL READ IT. I hadn't heard about Roses and Rot, but with a blurb by Neil Gaiman, YAAAASSS. Wink, Poppy Midnight!! NEED!! Every Heart a Doorway, looks interesting! Sounds like an Alice in Wonderland thing. Ohhhhh! New Pompeii. Adding this to my list along with The Race. Love that cover. Into the Dim evoked Outlander so obviously I need it. WAIT.. can we talk about how you haven't seen Friday Night Lights? HOW?
+Cuddlebuggery Book Blog I read the sampler for ALL THE BIRDS... last night and so far, I really like it, and yes very fairy-tale-feeling, especially with the sliding of the food under the door. Funny how it was easier to believe birds could talk than a parent locking a kid up in a room and scraping food beneath a door, right lol? Um, I know. I haven't ever seen Buffy, either. 😁😁😁
+softbreezy thank you! Some of the more recent reads by black authors that I've discussed (and highly recommend!) are: A BRIEF HISTORY OF SEVEN KILLINGS by Marlon James, THE FISHERMEN by Chigozie Obioma, AMERICANAH by Chimamanda Ngozie Adichie, and further back, EVERYTHING, EVERYTHING by Nicola Yoon. I may soon read Negroland, a memoir by Margo Jefferson, so look out for that. ^_~
Great list, adding some of these to my TBR! And holy crap, I cannot wait for The Raven King. How will we all survive once it's over?!

Loads of great books-- definitely interested to hear more about Every Heart a Doorway, very intriguing cover and synopsis.

And I Darken by Kiersten White sounds right up my alley. I put it on my wishlist. Thank you! :-)

Silly, but I really appreciated that you mentioned the Publishers as well. Thanks.

hi ameriie can you do a book recommendation on older books, like 1700s 1800s of early 1900s , do you have any good reads
+MRSBAMBIJ hi Mrs.Bambi, I recently read THE COUNT OF MONTE CRISTO, which I'd recommend (the shorter, abridged version). ^_^
thankyou

another amazing video you make incredible videos
I need to watch you more!! :D
Locke & Key by Joe Hill is my favourite ever graphic novel
+Nicky Goldsmith SO good!
I had no idea you had a whole youtube channel😧
My Goodreads challenge is an overly ambitious 104 books. I don't know what possessed me to pick that number.
This is awesome!! I was hoping to see more books by African American authors though.
+softbreezy thank you!
