Other :
-As you can see, M 400 Mellotrons are only 35-Keys. You can't play bass notes :
During the introduction, the bass notes are played with the organ pedals. I Guess this is what Tony did, It would have been too much complicated for Mike to play it with the bass pedals along the Mellotron.
-The backing track starts at the end of the introduction which is 100% isolated keyboards from my soundboard.
The end section is not isolated keyboards, but the Mellotron is sooo loud, you can't actually ear the backing track :D

Amazing performance !! The volume in this gives me goosebumps
Thank you! I will probably do a second version of this played on my Real Hammond :)
@@MathGsr Could you please tell me the reason for playing those pedals during the Mellotron-Intro ? Probably bass pedals ?
@@bierologeprof.prosten7792 exactly ! As you can see a M400 MELLOTRON doesn't allow to play bass notes like MK2 Mellotron
MY God you played it exactly like on the Foxtrot/Selling England and Midnight Special bootleg. I am in AWE.....
Especially that middle section where your left hand reaches for that ARP Pro Soloist ....more eventuated on the Lamb tour @5:26.
So amazing...LOVE IT
Thank you so much!
I think Tony played Watcher on the pro soloist for the first Time on the 1974 tour.
I Guess it used To be played on the Pianet, but I really love how it sounds on the pro soloist.
He did the same on supper's ready once he got the Pro Soloist, he played fuzz pianet parts and some Organ parts on the arp.
But when i'll do supper's I think I won't use the arp, I will stick to the very original 1972 live version
Great sound!
Bloody brilliant! I had this album at boarding school back in the 70s. Well done mate.
Thanks mate :)
It must bring back good memories!
@@MathGsr Yes it does.
Incredible!
Nice work!!
Mellotron strings sounds like the strings from The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past
very cool!
well done !
oupss…je vois la vidéo un peu en retard !! ça fait relativement longtemps que je suis pas allée sur youtube 😅 en tout cas Mathieu c’est incroyable comme toujours !!
My favourite Genesis intro besides Firth of Fifth. :)
Where‘s your L102 gone?
This intro is legendary !
Well I had not bought it yet when I recorded this video..
Same for Musical Box. I'm thinking about recording them again with it
good shit
What did you use for the triggering the mellotron vst
AWESOME…. Just wondering for my own purposes, when you videoed your performance what is the sound coming from speakers or direct into your video via DAW
Thanks :D very Interesting question, and it's the first time someone ask it !
The Daw is used like a virtual soundcard where I Can put effects like leslie on the organ, and make my organ sounding like a Real Hammond Thanks to vst.
The sound is recorded directly as a wav file from this virtual soundcard, I haven't any speakers as you Can see i'm using headphone
@@MathGsr Thanks.... What did you use to video yourself?, and how did you input the sound into the video?
@@MattyB3 basically my iPhone ^^
And Adobe Premier to put the recorded audio from the soundboard on the video
Ya' know how ya' get to Carnegie Hall? "Practice." Well done young man,............well done.
Then i'll keep practicing... For a long time ! :D
Thanks sir
Gotta get me a mellotron!
"the power of an orchestra in your hands" ;)
Yo this sounds awesome man wanna collab? I’m a drummer and I play quite a lot of Genesis
Thanks mate !
Why not, it's Always nice to play some Genesis stuff with other musiciens ^^
The question is... where to get a Pro Soloist or the DGX these days? haha great job dude
Thanks mate :D
Hahaha good question, I would add : Where to get a pro soloist without having to sell our house to buy it ?
@@MathGsr precisely. 😂
Some wrong chords there.
