I hope that Mama Lex makes a return appearance soon. It was funny seeing Brad & Lex so surprised how quickly mom turned into Funky Mama. Then after Lex comments on her generation being wild, mom replies, "how you think y'all got here?" She's the best!
She could have her own channel!
Too funny AND funky ! This was the jam tho
@@micht6888 I’d subscribe
Lex's face at 9:35 😂
I totally agree with "it was funny seeing Brad & Lex so surprised how quickly mom turned into Funky Mama."
"You had a wild generation. Dang!"
"How you think ya'll got here? Did I say that?"
Now everyone knows lex comes by her energy honestly
Got that right
Feets don't fail me now my feets are too big
My man Brad just couldn't stop smiling while mom is jivin' that's awesome
You know it's funny it's been a while since I've heard this one this was one of my favorites though the thing is I didn't make the connection I should have they're so experimental song by David Byrne and Brian Eno these two cats got together and look the fuck out man it's getting really weird which I can't get enough of you know cuz that's me when the going gets weird the weird turn pro so yeah they got this song off of this album called my life in the bush of ghosts the song is called help me somebody and see what these two crazy motherfukers do is they recorded all these different TV programs radio programs different music from the Middle East and all this and they put music over the top at all that they edited all the different sayings from this and that talk show news commentator all of this and that and they made all these really cool songs but one recording was the preacher on the radio and this brother he started quoting this very song Funkadelic saying it's so high you can't get over it so long you can't get around them is so deep you can't get under them I can't believe I didn't make that connection but never in my craziest imagination would I Conceive of a Preacher quoting Funkadelic there hey why not? So yeah you'll have to check that out with another one I think it's called born under punches I could be wrong let me research that I'll get back to you no I was wrong it's crosseyed and painless now you got to watch the video don't even bother if you're worried about the video being a distraction cuz it won't be and plus it's top-notch entertainment trust me on this I stake my reputation on it you can come back and say Bryan you were totally full of shit you're an idiot you're a moron go get back on the small bus and I will gladly take that ride alright you crazy kids and mama Del Funko listic you know I'll check you on the next drop
One of the funkiest songs of all time by one of my favorite groups of all time
Mama Lex got the groove going on. Funkadelic is iconic
If they think Mama Lex is wild, they need to see some live P Funk in concert...those were good times with George and Bootsy and the band!
I saw George and pfunk live 3 years ago. new heads with the band and Garry Shider jr.. still a killer show. George lit up a joint in the first jam and the whole theatre about 2000 people all blazed up at once lol
So Ture!!
More than the song, Brad & Lex's reaction to Mama Lex was SO worth the watch!
Couch Momma needs her own channel, or at the least a Couch Momma day on your channel. Brad seems to really enjoy his mother in law. That is great, and rare haha. Great stuff as always ya'll
This is my generation. We jammed to PFunk and anything George Clinton had going on when I was in high school, 1975 to 1979!!!
You've just been Baptized by the Funk!!💯
Love all the funk mama bringing
Oh man, watching these vids with Mama Lex gives me the biggest grins 😁. Y’all need to invite her back one day and have a Night of Funk.
My mama was quite different. I remember her once say “I don’t understand why all these people are calling themselves funky. When I was growing up it meant you stank to high heaven” which made me 🤣. I miss you mama 💜
Wild! Back in the day - no internet - you had to make your own fun. Get active. Throw on some music and tear up the rug.
I had a smile the entire video! Love it!!!!
Lex: You had a WILD generation.
Mama Lex: How did you think you got here?
Priceless! (I was groovin' and singing right along with ya, Mama Lex. Girl, you need a dance floor to show them young folks how it's done!)
Here's a fact that we often forget: Our parents were young, adventurous, and flirtatious people who liked dancing in nightclubs and being part of the hip social scene once upon a time.
Way back when, our parents were probably reckless, wild people who liked to show off on the dance floor.
The look on Lex's face was priceless! Jamaica Funk
P Funk live is a transcendental experience.
Mom knows!
Truth
I saw them live 'bout 10 years ago...was amazing
@@DHFHades seen them a few times. Always an experience
@@jon-pauldupont5746 right, my only regret is that at the time I didn't smoke weed...that being said, I would LOVE to see them again...lmao
THOSE WERE THE DAYS‼️🎵‼️🎵🔥🔥🔥
Momma Lex is beautiful and Priceless! I needed a smile today, Thanks All Ya'll!
I love Funkadelic!
Momma Lex sharing with us some of her music knowledge and we're discovering some very groovy sounds :) Check out Funkadelic's Maggot Brain if you LOVE epic guitar solos
Any "greatest guitarist" list that doesn't include Eddie Hazel is incorrect.
Maggot Brain is a whole-ass epic
One of the best instruments of all times
Lex' mom was a great guest. It was really cool to have her perspective and vibe on things. If you two get the chance, a reaction to TESTAMENT "The Legacy" would go over well.
Poor Lex looks lost with all this funk! Brad seems curious, but Lex's funk gene from mama needs some awakening....but her rock gene is strong! lol
Perfect
Right!
She must have gotten the Rock gene from her father side
She gets the rock groove better than any other reactor I have seen. This was also our groove. So, maybe having mom on the sofa is inhibiting her.
Growing up through the 70s and 80s, I heard a lot of rock, funk, and metal. Those are times that will, sadly, probably never be repeated again.
Damn glad I was there for it.
"That's how we roll" 😂 Love it!
Classic!!! Now check out “Knee Deep” by Funkadelic
That's the power of Funkadelic you see.
Mama Lex for President.
She owns it.
Wonderful video.
In this world of today we always have Funkadelic smiles.
Instant pleasures.
momma spilled the beans! "how you think you got here?" LMAO
Mama Lex is in the house!
"that's how we roll"... FACTS! Seems those kids need some schooling there 💜
Funkadelic had a lot of hard rock songs too like Red Hot Momma, Super Stupid, Alice In My Fantasies, and the greatest guitar solo of all time with Maggot Brain. George Clinton & Parliament Funkadelic have a massive catalog full of classics.
Don't forget good to your ear hole, cosmic slop, standing on the verge, get off your ass and jam and who says a funk band can't play rock music.
Just because songs have some guitar solos in em don't make em hard rock. Funk rock at best.
I see where Lex gets her love of music!
You need to have Mama-Lex back more often!!
Momma Lex Specials!!
YES!!!@@qhl5579
Feet don’t fail me now!!! Yes!!! Your Mom is exposing you to the funk we jammed to (and still do, lol)! And yes, it WAS one Nation under a Groove. This is one of the BEST funk songs ever; next song song: “FLASHLIGHT” 🔥🔥🔥. I hope your Mom is staying with you all week!!!!😂
Mom's cool! I love listening to old music with my mom.
Funkadelic you should do next, " Knee Deep"! Early Funkadelic jams, " Red Hot Mama", " Cosmic Slop" ✌
They definitely need to do "(Not Just) Knee Deep." They'll love that one...
We love your mom
Momma’s got good taste, and she knows the lyrics.
how can you not love the Fonk
I saw George Clinton & Parliament /Funkadelic in the early 90's at the Lollapalooza festival It was amazing, I'll never forget the show. Then years later I saw the P-Funk Allstars without George in Telluride & still had a really great time. Bootsy Collins is one of the great bassist, he was in James Brown's band.
Yeah, Mom is already there.
In this very special episode of Brad & Lex Mama Lex completely wilds out disturbing baby Lex's frontal bop by shaking the infamous couch turning it into a more unorthodox bop which consequently effect Brad's signature side to side sway.
Too funny
Yes!! I believe he really enjoyed this.
I've never seen Brad more animated, and smiling, no less! Kudos to Mama Lex for bringing the funk!
This is when people had a lot of house parties. Everyone had a great time dancing and enjoying life, great music, great food, great fun. These type of music brought people together every nationality and culture. We respected each other, no fighting, no guns, no gang stuff, just being happy and joyful for a few hours. You would see elderly grands dancing and little ones too. It was unbelievably wonderful. The floor would be moving to the dances and the music . Men dressed nicely and women were stylish too. What a great time. lol
TEAR THE ROOF OFF mama !!
I just have one word for this...
Supergroovalisticprosifunkstication
WELL SAID FELLOW FUNKSTER‼️
Give the people what they want when they want and they wants it all the time!!!
Get it Couch Mama! This was the jam! I was in high school when this came out. There was a youth center right next to the school and they'd have dances on Friday nights. We would be in there tearing it up dancing to these long songs. Man, we had fun, lol! Thanks for doing a reaction to this song.
Pure gold dust........ that's one of the best reactions I've seen in a long time - thank you all so much!!
Saw Funkadelic twice in the 70s and I was blown away. They and the Grateful Dead were walking the same path toward doing something very different, very creative, and forever fun!
This just make my day, thank you very much!!!!!!!!!!
Nice to see y'all getting the funk out!!! Not many channels exploring this awesome arena!
Yes, Mama Lex! Absolutely love my old school music! We had the best jams! Thanks for taking me back!
Omg Brad and Lex's reaction to Mama is priceless 😆
10/10 this one, what a nice family, brad your reaction was priceless.
Am I the only one that thinks Momma Lex needs her own channel?
Y’all found my beloved P-Funk. Mom’s gettin down! P-Funk, along with James Brown, just might be the GOAT.
A friend of mine played with George Clinton when he came to Winston-Salem a decade or so ago, played at a club called 4th St. Blues downtown.I was actually watching Roy Clark play at Reynolds Auditorium when Dave called me.He wanted me to come film it.I finished watching and meeting Roy Clark then I went home, grabbed my vid cam and went to film Dave and George. After about 45 mins they took a break and I went in the back office and smoked a bowl with George.I was smart enough to remember to bring something for him to sign so I have a couple Parliment 45's signed by him.It was quite an evening.
YESSSSS! Mom's killing it! I could listen to P-Funk (Parliament Funkadelic) alllll day.
Apple never left the tree. Just moved into a basket at the base of tree. LOL Mom got a groove!
September 1978 I was in the Army on a bus when Funkadelic dropped this jam on the air waves. back in them days funk mob ruled.
Standing On the Verge Of Getting It On. I was raised on this. I had I’ll Bet You on a 45 @ age 4 on my fisher price record player.
Mama-Lex got moves!!! Love the reaction!!
Mama knows her funk! We actually had this song on 45 when I was a kid. We played it on the console stereo. Those were the days ☺️ Now y’all need to do some Earth, Wind and Fire.
Mama KNOWS her music.
Mama Lex is the truth, a true Whammer Jammer. Such Funky and so Soulful Smooth Lady = Mama Lex! The Peach (Lex) didn't fall far from the tree.
Brilliant...... put a smile on my face all the way through. Keep going Momma Lex, you made this one your own and the look on Lex's face... priceless!
BOOM! Luvme some mama Lex.
Quickly becoming my favorite reaction channel. You guys are so cool! That, and I'm in love with Lex's laugh. 😂
Mama Lex is my spirit animalllllll❤️❤️🤘🏼
We need to see more of mama!!!
This episode had me on the floor laughing 😂 I listen to the funk and if there's a elderly black person near by
they just lose it 💀 anywhere anytime
She went 0 to 100

I love Mama Lex aka couch mama !!!! I can picture her on a pair of skates at the local roller skating rink and just grooving out to this song. This is GREAT !!! ❤️✌️
I had nearly forgotten about the group Slave. The self-titled song is a must!
Mama knows what’s up!! More P-Funk please, y’all! “Night of the Thumpasaurus Peoples” = maximum FUNK
We were a funky generation. Probably still are. Mom had me dancing!
ALRIGHT MAMA'LEX! We gonna groove! Show them Youngins! HA! 😀
Mama made a BIG FAN of me. Grooving to this song! I was 17 when this came out. The late 70’s was a great time for FUNK. (not forgetting James Brown and others from the ‘60s). George Clinton pure genius, Parliamenr Funkadelic should live forever! 🎶💕
