In the last 20+ years, OU has been a stronger, more consistently good to great program moreso than Texas...

I disagree, Florida St. and Clemson would not be welcomed by the vast majority of SEC fans .. We don’t need Football schools We need Basketball Schools.. UNC and Duke or NC State would fit the NEED of the SEC 100%.

FSU is not going the SEC or Big 12.

One of the biggest reasons the SEC would want to bring in FSU and Clemson would be to keep the recruiting in FL (and to a much lesser extent SC) as a stronghold of the SEC and make it difficult for the BIG10 to create pipelines.

WV FAN HERE THE PERSON WHO KEEPS REPEATING PUTTING WV IN SEC IS WRONG. I LOVE WV BUT THEY CAN'T WIN THE BIG 12 AND THEY WOULD GET DESTROYED IN THE SEC.

If fsu and Clemson joins the SEC then who cares about playoffs. Winning the SEC makes you automatically the best.

With winning the bid for the MagLab and developing a supercomputer, FSU’s President Sliger was more interested in the academic prestige of the ACC in the early 90’s. That’s one of the major reasons why FSU selected the ACC as a conference.

8 of the top 15 first-round NFL draft picks this year were from current B1G members. Starting with picks #1 and #4.

Of the 14 teams recruiting at 90+ quality, 6 are SEC, 5 are B1G, 1 is ACC, and ND. So, you could see the B1G having the final four as well. It was an all-B1G championship last year.

while other leagues haven't been as consistently good as the sec, sec homers love to ignore how mediocre and up and down the sec has been. "THE SEC HAS ALWAYS BEEN OMG GREAT!!!"

Two thoughts on why the SEC is publicly claiming it does not want FSU (but would take some of the Triangle schools):
