I’m a Rush fan since 74. What I like about them is that they’re so ordinary regular guys with an extraordinary gift of music they share with us who get their message of liberty. Extreme articulate and mellow in interviews! No posing or put on. They put us Canadian rockers on the international stage in an honourable way. They don’t sing nonsense like so many do. Real socially conscious gents who make us really think. Thanks Rush!🤟🏻

Dude tix were likely about $5 tops in 1975 before they were headlining & barely known!
I saw them Aug.24, 1979 in Hamilton, ON, Canada & tix were only $12.50 each then!

Saw them at the Capitol Music Hall in Wheeling, WV in December 1977. Tickets were $6.00. Rush was the headliner. Can’t remember who opened. Maybe Lake?

I will be 59 this June and was aware of Rush in 8th grade when a classmate drew 2112 in art class. In 1979, I heard the Xanadu off the Farewell to Kings album and it brought beauty to my senses. In 1981, after hearing the midnight radio release of the entire Moving Pictures album, I bought the album that week. Rush music became part of my musical soul.

In the End ... I could see, I could shine, I could feel, you took me for a ride, you made me smile, I was slower and I could also see that. Now we are all gone.... Sweet memories, flashing very quickly by, reminding me, and giving me a reason why. There is no one to see, shine or feel what that was, In the End...

Rest in Peace Neil. Man. This video took me back to Cobo Hall in Detroit, 1979. I have tears streaming down my face. I can't believe Neil Peart is gone. He was my inspiration to learn how to play the drums. "In the End" has always been my favorite RUSH tune. I'm crushed he is gone, but thankful you posted this video. 💔🥁⚘

Cosmic alignment certainly happened with these 3 souls. Even for all of us, really. It's possibly incalculable how their combined art touched, moved, inspired, helped, probably even at a given moment made someone stop and think to not end their own life.
This song and words are so filled with humbleness & humility. I feel this early work definitively expresses the spirit of what became Rush.
They never lost that. Even - In The End ❤
Thank you Alex, Geddy, & Neil

I have been buying Rush's albums since they first started with John Rutsey on drums up through the years of Neil Peart, to the end. I thought they were good from the first to the last, and was heart broken to see them end as they did, but I respect their decision, as Neil was in so many problems throughout, and he needed the last of his life to explore the other areas of his being that he didn't get to fully explore constantly playing for his last years. They set the pace for many a musician and band, all three of them in their field of instruments and in songwriting in general. I guess I have broken down per instrument every single album they ever did, to become a better musician. They WILL be missed greatly, in my book, for every single album they did and for their teaching musicianship and songwriting.

+tonc2112~~THANK YOU!! Saw them 15 times live, played In The End once, All the World's A Stage Tour. IT, and plenty more that I'll NEVER forget. I'm 60, and VERY fortunate. Hell, I even made the cover of Exit Stage Left. My right hand to God. If you look closely at the cover, right-center, maybe 2 STANDING rows from the stage, (festival seating back then, and 9 buck tickets! ) you'll see a short dark haired guy, and there's a taller blonde guy next to him. That's my main dude, Cam, an axe-master himself, and I'm the short dark-haired guy. Photo is from Charlotte Coliseum, NC, circa: 1981
