Reading makes you a better writer, but writing also makes you a better writer and is usually more effective at improving your writing and also more easily monetized.

"There's too many successful writers out there and there's no reason you can't be one of them." 💜
Thank you Cole for sharing your expertise with the world, and being an inspiration. You are truly an amazing writer.

Fiction writer here. Loved this video. I have a friend who regularly puts out a novel every 2 years. She is a full-time writer. She always says the best marketing for your book is... to write another book. LOL. I've learned this year that I am no longer a panser. I have accepted that I write more and better quality when I outline my stories. It took some self reflection, but I want to grow as a writer. You can't do that if you don't grow. Thanks again for the video.👍

That's what I've learned too. Don't worry about marketing, just worry about writing the next book. ONWARDS

Gosh. I want to tell you that I really love the Coffee with Cole Series!
The videos provide so much value and are uploaded so frequnetly!
I read your book saying you got viral by publishing articles daily in the past, but could not fully understand how that worked.
But now, I think I begin to understand how impactful it is to provide high-quality content consistently.
You are literally demonstrating how it works now!!

I can't thank you enough for this series. After having had Ship 30 I think that the coffee with Cole is the BONUS addon everyone needs. After that, sometime is frustrating for me because I can't see me overcoming all the obstacles and issues I had and I have, but, listening to you help me tremendously a lot.
Thank you very much.. from Rome, Italy.

I can't thank you enough for sharing such great depths of knowledge!
You don't romanticise anything about writing industry, make it overwhelming in such a good way that always encourages me to figure out what's writing is to me and how far I can take this as a full time career.
Thanks again for all of your efforts with each video!!👏

The reading thing is so true! I hang out in writer Discords and this is such a common take, and when I point out writing is the only thing that makes you good at writing people argue with me 🤷‍♀️

Thanks for diving into fiction advice. I read your online writing book, which was excellent. But I’m interested in writing fiction. And worse, I prefer more literary prose, which probably assures poverty.

    • @nicolascole77
      @nicolascole77  3 місяці тому

Thanks for the kind words. I love literary fiction too. Just worth acknowledging (objectively) literary fiction is also the smallest market of readers, making it the hardest to successfully monetize. Doesn’t mean you shouldn’t write it, just means you shouldn’t bank on it paying the rent-and should look to monetize your writing talents in other ways.

Thanks for your input. I’m over 50 and thinking of writing a group of short stories and posting them into a blog. Also, I’d be interested in doing writing research for even fiction writers as a service🇺🇸🇬🇧

I wanted to write more but finding difficult to create a holistic outline as a result spending major time searching for content rather than writing content.
How to research relevant content faster?
I think a lot of writers struggling with it.
It would be helpful if you create a banger video on that 🔥

So I'm at the 8:50 mark...this video is a REAL..."I wish I had this when I got started."
I'm a retired Fraud Investigator, I guarantee that I know when someone is talking/publishing BS.
This is not a click-bait, marketing, cut-n-paste, standard video with the real intent to just get you to
    buy some stuff.

    Thanks Cole!

Nicholas I like what you said about writing 10 hours a day. What do you suggest using or doing to get your time in practice writing?

  • @jerryloncey
    @jerryloncey 3 місяці тому +1

    Thumbnail suggestion:
Switch out your title text with the image title.
*10 years of writing experience summarized in 37 minutes*
If you can make the numbers rhyme, that will be awesome.
For the image, just put your face there and write, "$10M made" or something similar.

  • @АленаЧеркашина-ю6щ

Hi, Nicolas! I have to ask - do you really write every day for 8-10 hours, including weekends? That sounds pretty harsh, like writing is one of the very few things in your life! Do you have time to relax or socialize or have a holiday or smth?

"Moby Dick" sold under 1000 copies during Herman Melville's life.
    Ever read Kafka?
How much did you pay for that? How often do you in fact pay $ to read a thing?
