The guitar shown was played through a Fender Deluxe Reverb from 1974 and recorded with a Shure SM57 (left) and a Sennheiser 409 (right) . The backing tracks were recorded into a Fame Twin Looper on the same instrument right before the recording of each video. A Electro Harmonix Freeze was used for additional loops and sounds. Overdrive Sounds come from a Vemuram Jan Ray, a Greer Amp Ghetto Stomp and occasionally the Origin Revival Drive.
Tobias Hoffmann is a award winning guitar player from cologne, germany. He combines the sounds of Jazz, Blues, Rock, Surf and some experimental stuff. Check him out:

Came for the guitar, stayed for the playing! Bravo!
So true! What a player!!!
Cleanest pickups on the planet and a very well demonstrated Les Paul recording model.👍
The famous "recording". Les Paul. As the man himself envisioned it.
Thanks for the exquisit demonstration of the capabilities of the instrument.
This demo sold me on trading my Jaguar for one of these earlier this year. The pickups in these are unreal. The most open and lively pickups I can remember playing clean. Distorted, they have a texture totally unique to themselves.
I've never considered myself a lead player, but the neck just gets out of the way for you and single note lines come to life.
This demo is a perfect representation dynamics and nuance this guitar makes you play with. I initially got mine with intent to flip it, but I'm in love. Sometimes the best things in life are those you don't choose directly.
Very delicate playing, you can get the best out of this Recording LP !!
Holy Crap... I NEVER Heard a LP sound like this. Amazing!!! Beautiful Playing Too Man!! Insane, Absolutely Beautiful Tone!!! --Jason ✌🏻&❤
I have one of these old originals and I can honestly say one of the cleanest guitars around.... you can get some crazy sound mixes out of it.
Gibson LP Deluxe (with mini-humbuckers) is another alternative for the cleanest tone in combination with a true tube amp. This one contains solid-state electronics providing a little bit of special solid-state sound. Associates with the Roland Jazz Chorus amp tones. Two worlds, two alternatives, both perfect. I prefer the first one, but it is just my subjective taste.
What a great demo of this rare and awesome guitar… Very tasteful and versatile playing! I was hooked from the beggining but when he started doing those bend-vibratos towards the end I thought ok this guy can REALLY play!!! Haha props to everyone involved in this, great job !
Fantastically versatile guitar, very well demonstrated.
AI will never replace this. Pure Joy. ❤🌲
I've Ibanez Les Paul Recording guitar, picked up about 8 years ago, don't see many around, nice sound.
Very engrossing, thank you for playing
I'd love to hear these pickups/electronics in C standard and fuzzed out
I need one of those in my life.
Amazing playing on a great sounding guitar!
beautiful sound!
Sounds insane man
Awesome!.
Bravo !!!!!!
Everyone has their own ear, but for me clean is best. Clean lets you hear the whole aural spectrum, picking, every nuance.
sehr gute gitarre. sehr, sehr guter musiker!!!
Gibsons version of a Jag? A tasteful touch from Tobias, as usual
and les paul's main choice for recording and playing in general.
They’re actually based on Les Pauls personal guitar that he gave to Gibson to copy
いいですね!
終わり方もいい。
i didn't know Steve Bannon played guitar?
Can you put together a guitar tab for this one? Haha
P90 ?
Hi, I have one of these and can confirm not P90s but a hybrid designed by LP himself, sort of in between a Humbucker and P90, you can get a P90 sound sort of, but not quite, it sounds very clean and bright without much bite.
Two words. Lemon Oil.
Sounded kind of Fripp-like at the end!
Did you record this near a cell phone or computer, that's digital noise interference you introduced into the recording, ruins the ear candy... 😑
I think it sounds a lot like Gary Moore
sound is good. but noise...
nothing wrong with it, its a vintage guitar and the pots can be cleaned
I'm noticing the noise too, but we also have to consider that we're listening to stacked loops, in which the noise gets recorded and reproduced various times, so it kind of gets multiplied
crikey you could spend all day trying to find exactly the same tone you tried & liked seven hours ago 😂
Great playing, really lovely, terrible guitar demo...
