Yes!! Stanley is always present in my style, you have a fine ear :). The main target of this demo is to show a Rickenbacker sounding in a diferent way. The piece is close to "School Days" to have a "Stanley aproach" to the solo part. Im very glad that you like it. Thank you very much.
Yes, I'm agree. I did this video to show a fiend how this bass can sound this way, not only with the sound itself but playing with a finger style similar to Stanley. Clarke is one of my biggest influences, as Chris Squire too. So in this recording I sound similar to SC using a bass similar to CS. :) thanks for your comment. Saludos desde Buenos Aires.
You wouldn't really be too far though, stanley did use a rickenbacker 4000 at one point, which is more or less the same bass but without the neck pickup. And this is where I'll tell you how goddamn cool your bass is, but I guess you know that already.
@@possibly8180 Yes, I know that Stanley used this Rick in the first RTF formation. but in this case I was trying to imitate the sound that he get from the Alembic, what is very difficult because not only Clarke is unique and the Alembic is a very personal sounding bass, the strings that he uses are very thin, and I used .40 standard.
The sound from 0:28 is phenomenal
Beautiful!
bello!!gran suono,grande bassista!
Godlike tone. Also there is somthing very reminiscent of Stanley Clarke in the style of playing.
