@@charlescalvert8647 thanks, so, better sound?Which one sounds better, I just want to buy one but I don't know which one to choose, which one sounds louder and has better quality?
@BETTYDEE2012 That's a tricky question. I have a Viva Tonal portable model. It's superb. Both will likely need motor work and the reproducer rebuilt. All my reproducers including the Orthophonic and Viva Tonal were fully rebuilt to produce high quality sounds as they did originally. Without rebuilding a reproducer it will not sound so good and will likely get worse with use or cause damage. Both are not easily or cheaply rebuilt. If you're buying one already restored with rebuilt reproducer you probably would find both excellent. If you plan to buy one in unrestored but working condition you'll likely find it needs work. A Victor Orthophonic will be much easier to find parts and someone to rebuilt or service the reproducer properly. On Facebook you can find antique phonograph groups and all the resources you'd need. Hope this helps!

Я давно заметила, что в мелодиях тех давних лет петь начинают после того, когда запись сыграла половину и более.
Это должно как-то называться.
Yes, that was very typical at the time, it wasn't a song but dance tune with a vocal refrain. Singing only a line or two from the song itself.
Thanks for watching!
@@charlescalvert8647 Interesting, thank You !
What songs are on those discs on the walls?
@chiwi5683 Oh let's see if I can remember without going downstairs.
"In My merry oldsmobile" dealership record.
The preacher and the bear by Arthur Collins.
The Whole Damm family by Billy Murray.
Baltimore by Jack Crawford.
Charleston by Ben Selvin.
The glow worm on Arthur Fields record label.
Rudolph Valentino singing recorded by Brunswick.
Angel child on Belvedere label.
Moxie by Arthur Fields by Gennett records.
Indianola by Billy Murray.
Over There by Enrico Caruso.
I'm adding a few more soon. I usually pair them with the original sheet music from the same period as well.
Hope you enjoyed the music and tour. Thanks for watching!
Stay away from bootleg hooch/when you're on a spree.
Strictly high quality prescription beverages only. And I always button up my overcoat.
Víctor credenza or Columbia viva tonal?
This would be my 1926 credenza. Hope you enjoyed the music and thanks for watching.
@@charlescalvert8647 thanks, so, better sound?Which one sounds better, I just want to buy one but I don't know which one to choose, which one sounds louder and has better quality?
@BETTYDEE2012 That's a tricky question.
Hope this helps!
how about "if i had a talking picture of you"
I have that record! If it's in good condition I will post it, as soon as I can find it. Hope you enjoyed the tour.
Ok, I just uploaded your request. Hope you enjoy the song.
Internet Win
Sounds good to me! Thanks for watching!
Are all the consoles acoustic, or do you have any fully electric?
They are all mechanical, hand crank models from 1903 to 1929.
Many did have an electric option.
Thanks for watching!
the kid has Moxie....Moxie I tell ya!!!
I have moxie, too! Well, the song about the soda called Moxie. It's on my channel.
