Dual colour Roof rack lights - Simply install in ARB Base rack

I now have the best of both worlds in a single 6inch light. I can have a nice bright light when I'm setting up camp or doing some night 4wding, and I can also have that nice ambient light while relaxing at camp that also keeps the bugs at bay.
In this Video I run through my thoughts on the the quality of the lights, what wiring I use to simplify the install, what switches I used and why, and how I ran the wiring through the car.
I will be doing another review on these lights towards the end of the year so I can test the durability and performance for a nit longer and give you a long term review

I run a small stedi light in the centre removable panel in the back door, works great for light in the rear 👌

Thanks David 👊🏽 yeah the Stedi lights seems to work well in there I have seen. I’m in the process at the moment of fitting down white and amber stedi lights in the rear tailgate.

Hey Kane, love your work mate. Just a quick question from me - how have you joined the front and back lights together on the same run, just a crimp connect with all 2 wires in, 1 wire out? And same for the 5 core into 7 core

Yep I basically wired the front and back lights together and joined them into 5 core and then ran it to the back corner where the 7 core runs up into the roof rack. I ended up soldering and shrink wrapping all the connections up there.

Great video. I have just purchased same lights from eBay and awaiting there arrival. I’ll have to look more closely at how you wired them because that’s the part I am most unsure of. 7 core vs 3 core and how you wire them together and get power etc. This is where I have the least knowledge. Could you add a deutsch plug on them? But thanks for the vid.

Thanks Stuart. Yeah that’s the part I was worried about as well but it was pretty simple in the end.
So for the 7 core I ran all the earth into the one earth cable. Then 2 cores were positives for the left side (amber & white), 2 of the cores were for the right side (amber & white) and then I have a spare 2 cores as I was going to put the same lights on the rear as well. I just haven’t gotten around to doing that.
You could put lugs in if you like. I ran all mine within the roof rack so a plug was going to be very difficult to fit in there. If you are running the wiring externally then definitely use them
