Benign Neoplasms are composed of well-differentiated cells that
closely resemble their normal counterparts both morphologically
and functionally So How we can differentiate under the microscope or in histopatho lab between it and normal Hyperplasia Especially if there was no clear physiological stimulus

I'm not a histopathologist but my understanding is that hyperplasia tends to refer to a increase in number of cells, most often as a physiological response to an increased demand (i.e. it is a controlled process), whereas benign neoplasms develop from the result of uncontrolled proliferation. I can't imagine there would be a clear difference if you were simply looking under the microscope, however the genetic profile would be different as the neoplastic cells would be carrying mutations that lead to the suppression of tumour suppressor genes or autonomous activation of oncogenes, rather than simply responding to physical stimuli as they should. The same genes are likely to be involved, but the distinction is in whether they are acting as they as supposed to for the good of the organism (hyperplasia), or simply doing their own thing (neoplasia).

Check the role of clonality , Neoplasms are monoclonal , while hyperplasias are polyclonal.

I had a biopsy but I'm awaiting results. I called hospital and they said to wait a few more days. They can't share results with me today because they have to do an MDM meeting. I then asked if my results are normal? She said she can't answer that until meetings taken place
    :(
    I'm so worried

I actually got my results and it turns out it is benign. However the lump is big and they won't remove it. It's so uncomfortable and they can't guarantee that it won't become malign in future :( I always thought its best to get rid of it before it worsens. However hospital is waiting for it to get more big before removal due to rules and policy's 🤷‍♀️🤦‍♀️

I think you should work on your microphone, it's very irritating to hear you that close swallowing and I just couldn't watch this video cus' of that.

Good video with basic info. Sexist presentation of oncology roles though.

Thanks for the feedback. As I recall I just used clipart images to represent the different roles, the gender of the cartoons never really entered my thought process. I feel that describing it as sexist might be a little bit over the top. I genuinely hope you weren't offended though and I'll consciously try and avoid this in the future!

As for that idiots complaint about your video being sexist.... Ignore it!
It's incredible that given the importance of the subject matter, this idiot's got nothing better to do than to complain about the gender of the animations you used!! I'm surprised it didn't complain that all of the animations used were white...! I certainly wouldn't have been as polite as you in my reply!
