  • Intel core ultra 7 155H VS RYZEN 7840S VS I7 13700H ULTRA 155H GAMING+ BATTERY+ CONTENT CREATION
The Intel Core Ultra 7 155H is a 16-core, 22-thread processor that can boost up to 4.8 GHz. It is based on the Meteor Lake H architecture, which uses a hybrid design of high-performance and high-efficiency cores. It also supports Intel AI engine, which can accelerate artificial intelligence and machine learning tasks. The Intel Core Ultra 7 155H has a TDP of 45W and supports up to 96 GB of DDR4-3200 memory.
The AMD Ryzen 7 7840S is a 14-core, 20-thread processor that can boost up to 5.0 GHz. It is based on the Raptor Lake H architecture, which also uses a hybrid design of high-performance and high-efficiency cores. It also supports AMD SmartShift, which can dynamically allocate power and performance between the CPU and GPU. The AMD Ryzen 7 7840S has a TDP of 35W and supports up to 64 GB of DDR4-3200 memory.
The Intel Core i7-13700H is a 14-core, 20-thread processor that can boost up to 5.0 GHz. It is based on the Alder Lake H architecture, which is similar to the Meteor Lake H architecture. It also supports Intel Iris Xe Graphics, which can deliver up to 2.25 times faster graphics performance than the previous generation. The Intel Core i7-13700H has a TDP of 45W and supports up to 64 GB of DDR4-3200 memory.
We will test these three processors in various scenarios, such as gaming, battery life, and content creation. We will use popular games, such as Cyberpunk 2077, , as well as professional applications, such as Adobe Premier

the power on the IGPU of the 155h or 125h is going to wipe out the need for GPU on entry level laptop in the future, its going to drive price down in the future. this IGPU alone can match some pretty decent AAA games at decent frame rate 30-50 making it hybrid for gaming and editing. not to mention the battery life with its low W. whats intersting is that intel is going to build on this momentum, we might see a better IGPU in the coming years.

21h of battery life with the "Core Ultra 7 155H"?! What?! So insane! But, it is still on a 7nm process. Compared to the Ryzen 7840S (4 nm process), it is on the 7nm process, which can benefit the power consumption. With an NPU included, it can improve battery life (M series chips from Apple have an NPU to help extend battery life). Nice video to illustrate the comparison! I believe that these are real results done by a person!

Sometimes it not the hardware that defines the battery efficiency. It can be that the "ultra 7" had better software optimization that makes it last longer. It like how apple optimized their iphone batteries that make them last longer tham most androids although most androids have larger batteries

this is intel 4 not the originally envisioned 7nm.., there were both density and power improvements to bring this on par with TSMC 4nm.., based on the peer reviewed publications.

@@squidscrew1339 Intel 7 is built on the 10nm, Intel 4 on the 7nm (read various sources). Draw the conclusion for yourself! AMD, makes it easier to understand in terms of what the manufacturing process in making their chips is.

@@TheSmilePerson This can be true indeed. But if I had done a battery video platback test on UA-cam, it can be much more different with this Intel Ultra chip. Guess what: I had done a video playback test over Wi-Fi, until the battery dies and optimised my laptop for best power efficiency, whilst balancing performance, privacy and security. The power management settings that I tweaked were modified via Control Panel (adjusting power management settings for the current power plan) and Settings app. On my AMD system, with the R7 5850U chip, I got 14-15 hours of battery life, on UA-cam, with only one tab open. My system's battery life is on par with some Macbooks due to the power efficiency. The chip I was talking about earlier, is also equipped with Radeon Graphics and I set its GPU preference to low power. The CPU TDP is 15 watts, which is the preferred one for a lot of laptops, for users requiring tasks that aren't power hungry.
Sorry for not talking about Intel! I find AMD to be better in long running tasks (i.e. gaming). I monitored network speed on Task Manager and the CPU speed simultaneously to find trends. With my AMD U series chip, when downloading a file, it sustains its clock speed roughly 30-40 seconds and throttles for about 5 seconds and goes back to the higher speeds. I done this in Better Battery Mode on Win 10 to prioritise cooling mainly, when plugged in.
I hope this has not overwhelmed you sir!

Sure its slow as hell but for purely media consumption and general browsing the thing lasted over 15 hours of real usage from my experience. I was looking forward to the Snapdragon Elite X but reading up those TDP limits i can already tell it doesnt last as long as they claim too.
