/ @628dirtrooster We finally got coffee mugs in our web store 628-dirt-rooster.myshopify.com/
We ended up removing a total of four healthy bee hives from this property. This video was shot in March of 2019. At the time of our last removal, which was spring of 2020, they were closing on the sale of the property. We haven't been back.
The friend who received the bees we delivered said they turned out to be his most productive hive.

As a person with an unnatural fear of bees, I’ve been binge watching!! I can’t explain it, but I love this channel! No masks!!! Kindness!! Loving the accents!! And learning so much about honey bees! Who needs cable! I’m going to look to buy some local raw honey instead of Costco honey! Who knew? 🐝
Totally agree, great show
Been afraid of bees my entire life, still like watching. I'm hoping it will help me get over my fear
Watching the Bee's march in to the box is so darn cool!
This video illustrates one (of many) things that sets Randy apart from other bee wranglers. Instead of jumping right into the cutout like most of us would've done, he takes a minute to discuss why this location is ideal for bees: brackish water nearby, a house with holes like swiss cheese, and previous hives in the same cavity. Then he starts setting up the site, with fan blade removal, plastic sheets on walls, etc. It's careful, methodical work. No hurrying around. 👍🏻
Poison soaked Sheetrock is like seeing haggis for the first time, you don’t know exactly what it is, but you know you don’t want to eat it!😂🤠👍🐝🐝🐝
LOL!!
I was impressed with the lack of code enforcement with the electrical wiring in a rental property.
Ben, you must not be local, around Ms., or from the deep south when it comes to the "lack of code enforcement" or the lack of codes at all. I hate to bring this tragedy up, but google hard rock hotel New Orleans right down the highway and in a major US city and that will teach you all about " Southern Building Code Enforcement".
I got pictures of that. I can't believe the company building it would even try what they did. Sad
@@deathvalleyfinds7076 I live in a place where codes are people's livlihoods, and they memorize them.
As soon as we get "one of those" customers that has a friend in zoning, we cut every corner we can legally.
If they had just kept their mouth shut...
I'd have more time to put in the extra effort.
To my valued, more blissfully ignorant customers?
I go ABOVE code and explain why.
@@628DirtRooster I think the bees like the warm wires. Lol
Well let me just say I do enjoy watching your videos.. I’m allergic to bees since I was a little girl , but I have learned a lot about them from these videos..at least I know I did right by not swatting at them. Lol I just walk away very fast.. I’m so glad there are people like you out in the world that are trying to save the honey bee 🐝
I'm absolutely amazed how fast bees can built up a new hive. Bees are awesome creatures!! Btw, your rant was spot on Randy.
that's funny I'm just now watching that video it's probably a couple days since you released it but I'm eating some of those same desserts right now love watching your channel I'm just north of you about 30 miles and little town called Wiggins God bless keep up the good work
You have inspired me to add some colonies to my properties, always loved honey bees. Keep up your great work.
Another job well done by the Dirt rooster. Keep the vlogs coming
SNAFU ? (';')( ';').. what? Honestly though, I have no idea how you guys deal with that heat and those rip-outs! My viewers keep sending me links to your videos and they are always educational and entertaining! Much appreciation and I'm glad home owners have you to turn to when things go so wrong. All the BEST!!!
Mr. Fred we love this heat as I only live a couple miles from Randy I guess its in our blood we don't do well in the cold at all.
Liked the music on this one too.
It's very concerning that these companies are exposing the public to toxic substances. Little children are so vulnerable to these pesticides due to lower body weight. Good job informing the public about this.
Well looks like its time to put accesses in the ceiling, have windows that can full open and turn that house into a giant bee hive, start harvesting honey.
The really good jobs are the ones you have FUN doing. I've had two jobs like that in my life, the people and co-workers made the job enjoyable to do. This looks like one of them!
It’s hard work but I enjoy it.
That´s really interesting to see how you guys doing this work.
You make such nice shows,I really like your channel, please keep up the good work
And one more thing I have subscribed to Your Videos ! So keep on making them !
Thank you! Will do!
Watching you on the computer instead of the TV today. Thought I would pop in and say hello. Hello. Another great cutout.
Hope you had some popcorn for the full big screen experience.
@@628DirtRooster You were a star in my house when my kids saw you gather a public swarm on a chain link fence years ago. I haven't even caught my first swarm yet. I did have a swarm catch itself but I don't think I can take credit for it. :-)
I sometimes feel the larger pest control companies depend more on marketing than training.
No doubt they do. Bad business practice.

My grandma had a problem with roaches. 2 months i was paying for "pest control". Still had same amount of bugs. Come to find out he was only spraying water! Once i started following him with a camera then the bugs started to disappear. I went full "karen" with their main office and got 3 months of payments back.
Good for you.
@628DirtRooster I'm still Loving the honey I bought from you. Dark and delicious and super sweet.
Great by itself or on a biscuit
I’m so glad you love that south Mississippi gold.
@@628DirtRooster mmm yeah.
Why don't they put out 3 or 4 swarm catchers and call you to pick up the boxes when the bees move in ...
Liability. Some people are allergic or they may tag a small child. Even if the odds are very very low, thats a major lawsuit waiting to happen. The way they do it now at least they can claim it was a natural event out of their control and while it costs more upfront it saves more in potential lawsuits and legal fees later.
Randy those nose stings are the worst man they hurt
I understand that you don't pick the ads but I feel I have to expose the one that I know are false or rip offs ! However I really enjoy your Videos ! I always give you a Thumbs Up ! Anyone that does what You do deserves a Thumbs Up ! If I did what you do the bees would kick my butt ! I use boiling hot water in a saucepan pan to get rid of yellow Jackets and Wasp nest but I don't mess with bees ! I would call someone like You For That ! I like the way you save the bees because we need all we have and more ! I really Respect what You do ! It good for the country and I appreciate it ! Have a good one !
Boiling water is a good idea for yellowjackets.
628DirtRooster Bees My next door neighbor had a Yellow Jacket nest on her Window Close to her front door and She was scared to death of them and she told me about them So I went and took a look and I am not lying that nest was at least 5-6 across and only God Knows how many Yellow jackets there were and I told her I would take care of it for her and she asked how and I told her ! She thought I was touched in the head so I got out my 1 quart pan filled it a little over half way and put it on the stove and got it boiling came right outside to her window and hit the nest and not even one got away ! There were a few that weren't on the nest when the water hit the nest but once I knocked the nest down they disappeared and at the bottom of her window and on the ground must have been at least 60-80 dead yellow jackets ! Needless to say she was very Surprised And quite pleased ! And that's the end of that story !
628DirtRooster Bees Another Tip on how to rid yourself of bumble Bees and that is a tennis Racket It's fun and they don't stand a chance ! Try it it ! It's fun to get Them before they get you and it works every time !
I wish I could catch them like you do!!

Would it do any good to place mothballs or something equally stinky in the cavity after you remove the bees?
Your videos make me happy, and forget about my worries.. keep doing what you’re doing dirtrooster628 you’re a beast
music was a nice new touch in this one... great vids tho!
I think they need to tear the house down and start over. It’s not only bees they have a problem with when they let it go and don’t take care of the problem. DirtRooster all you guys need to take care and like you said on that other job wearing the proper equipment because of chemicals. So you should do the same when you know rodents or others have built nest with the bees so you don’t breath in all the urine, feces, dust, insulation, any parasites, etc. Loved the video, take care, and bee safe. Blessings to you all! 🤗❤️🐝 🙏❤️🙏
Keep up the awesome work.
dang! they built all the comb in about 5 weeks!? That is industrious. Gives a whole new meaning to 'busy bees'. It is really cool though to see that comb - boom, just like that!
They need to listen to you!!!
I am surprised you didnt charge for that first (second removal from the same spot).
That did not look like a quick snag and go...
It wasn't. I was expecting a brand new swarm.

On the boxes just a spritz with bleach and then straight water. On frames straight water unless they're hive beetle slimed and then soapy water.

Hi mate what's the red light that you are using cheers .
I had the same question. I assume that since the bees fly towards the window during the day, they might fly towards his noggin if he used his white light.
Bees can’t see red spectrum so working bees in low lighting or at night is easier with red light instead of white. They still can see your movements but they are calmer under red light.
@@628DirtRooster Thanks for that and i can see what you mean cheers .
Nice genetics on that bunch
Great job and video like always
I remember reading about how the "killer bee" (africanized honey bees) came into existence here in the Western Hemisphere in the first place, and also WHY someone was cross-breeding the much more docile European varieties of honeybee with the far more aggressive African honeybee. It was because African honeybees build much larger hives with more honey comb (and thus, much more honey can be harvested) than their European cousins. So someone tried to produce a cross breed that was still docile, yet more prolific and efficient at honey production. Well, they achieved one of those goals but the cross-bred bees escaped before the breeders could refine the breeding further, achieving both goals. Which gave us the Africanized Killer Honey Bee. But the story makes me curious. I can't help but wonder...were there any hives of cross-bred honeybees from that enclosure in South America that were both docile and had greatly increased honey production? Because it looks to me like you found some in that house...😉
I don't know about genetics. Didn't you find a bunch of mouse droppings and other critters with the last one? i like how that fresh comb looks.
No more rodent evidence on this one.
Gracious, what a hot spot!!!
Wow. Fast builders!!
Good thing ya got Pete to do all the work. Ha, just kidding. Awesome video with some tough removals on a rough house. Great job you guys. Can't wait for the next one!
How can I get one of your hats? The one with the bee on the front? The one Pete is always wearing.

@@628DirtRooster what about med
Ok let’s get some positive perspective on this, for all the bees that have been exterminated by people that are clueless. This is nature’s way of keeping them going. We need bees to survive. As long as you have people that just let things go without repairs the bees will come. Thanks again for what you do! Without folks like you saving them we would be in big trouble.
KFC...I always referred to as Kentucky Fried Dove
how do you treat for nosema?
Remove all honey from the box and start feeding them up on sugar water. Most of the time they’ll pull through on their own with no intervention.
thanks man
Randy, you need to buy this house just to raise and sell nucs and packages from..
I'd be puttin' up a BUNCH OF SWARM TRAPS!!!
i wish we had honey bees at all where i live. instead we ONLY have hornets and wasps of various kinds. we even have those extremely aggressive jet black hornets. i also make sure its not a honey bee before i go full extinction, and i've never once found a single honey bee in over 30 years lol
Hope you and your family well sir. Keep the visa coming keeps us going through Covid-19
Do you guarantee your work? Is that why you did that one removal for free?
I do guarantee my work if I'm the one doing all the repairs. If I'm leaving repairs to the property owner I can't guarantee more bees won't move it. On this one I figured we'd pull the ceiling down, vac a swarm and put the ceiling back in an hour or so. Took way longer than anticipated and I'd already told them no charge at that point. When we took the first hive out I told them there was a chance they'd catch another one because they had no intention of replacing the siding for a few weeks. They said they didn't have the money to replace siding at that time. That was why we didn't come back for weeks. They were waiting on rent payments to cover expenses.
@@628DirtRooster that was nice of you. Not everyone can afford all those repairs. Then on top of that there are 4-5 hives that are going to be removed from the same building. Crazy! Must be a bee super hwy, add that to swarm season and the pheromones from other bees in the area. The perfect bee storm!
Good content like always.
There is a pest control company up here called "Bee Gone" and have a honey bee as their logo, ugh
WOW! Do they look like a beekeeping company by their logo?
Hey Rooster only had chance to watch 10 mins gonna watch the rest later. I just had a thought when said there was so many scouts looked like an active colony and they keep coming back etc . When you remove a hive and all the bees are safely out the way. Fill the cavities with cavity foam. Then any new bees will just find some where else to go. It works wonders after a removal as it seals up all the space inside. Bees hate the smell of the everbuild one You could charge extra for the extra service too.
Hot hives are not for every one and you gptta have years of experience but I LOVE MY HOT HIVES! I have a number hot hives! They have more honey, keep their hives super clean, defend their hives from wax moths and mites including varoa and never lost a single colony through the winter. Easy to work with if handled carefully. You mess with the brood though oh boy hahaha
Am I the only one who thinks it might be better to just completely rebuild that building?..
Sounds like Pete got the diet KFC thigh.
I don't know how much you charge but it is not enough.
That house is a guaranteed swarm trap . But also job security. 👍❤🐝🐝🐝
I am glad to hear the endorsement for Bay Pest. That's who we use to keep the water bugs out and treat any ant piles near the house. Never had bees here, just wasps. 😕
Hiya
I mean... when do you give up and just start charging the bees rent?
This video only goes to reinforce my feelings of discontent and loathing towards Satellite Dish installers. Maybe I'm biased because as a young fella I worked for the cable company but twice in this video I saw where satellite dishes and cables were carelessly hung / strung in such a way that they could cause serious damage to the structure.
On another note, it's because of a hive destruction that I became interested in beekeeping. At the time, we had a serious hive beneath some steps on the railroad in Texas. Rather than calling someone to remove the hive, the morons from Maint. of Way just sprayed them till everything was dead. I used that set of steps twice a day and the only thing I ever noticed was the busy traffic in and out of the area beneath the steps but some gumshoe decided it was a safety hazard. I was so mad and a bit frustrated that they wouldn't let someone else handle it.
@12:10 you're so mean to the bees!!! No WONDER they sting you lots times!!!
Oh yeah they turned into REAL killers. haha
