Don’t think, even in your wildest dreams, that you know how to make a documentary. I suppose this video might have some appeal to an American as they are slower thinking but to a European it is simply a bore 2:16
*The production process of ketchup revealed in this video is absolutely mind-blowing! The combination of historical insights, state-of-the-art machinery, and eco-friendly practices makes for a truly educational and eye-opening experience. Captain Discovery has done an outstanding job of showcasing the sophisticated technology and commitment to quality that goes into making every bottle of ketchup. Fantastic work!*
My mom worked at a Heinz ketchup plant as a secretary. I was maybe 5 or 6 years old. The smell of cooking tomatoes at the plant is something I remember so well to this day. (I’m 60.) It was funny to me. I’d ask people at the plant how they put up with the smell. They’d say, seriously, what smell?
Wasn’t it originally called ‘catsup’? I love ketchup and brown sauce. Only thing I find missing from this channel’s video is explanation from beginning of production to the end. Just get quick glimpses of a few steps along the way. Would love to know how things are made from the start to the end.
Very interesting from field to processing, the tomatoes are bright red and look great. The automation from the field to processing is absolutely amazing and fast. I prefer Heinz Ketchup over all other brands. Great videos, keep up the great work !
Thank you for an informal video, my concern is at the end with inspecting, all the workers there are not wearing hand gloves, or hair nets, isn’t that crucial too ?
In this video he talks about the production of Heinz ketchup, but now I buy off brands of certain things like food, but I remember years ago when I was in high school, I worked for Del Monte,in the Pineapple factory and one job was to push cans into the feeder, and the conveyer belt would feed the cans into the machine and it was very easy work, and the other job,was to wait for the trucks coming into the yard, they would back up to the dock, and my job was to open the lever, the bed would lift to a conveyor up and into a stream of water, and go into the plant to be processed, but I liked the job because it was easy and I could watch the sun coming up,but I didn't like the hours, because it was graveyard shift, and I got off work at 6 am in the morning and when I went home I was so tired, I went straight for the bed but I will never do that ever again but that was over 50 years ago.
The question i have is why didn't you mention the part of the process where you put the additives in it like HighFructose corn syrup as some of the main ingredients instead of whole foods?
Why not make all ketchup with none of the chemicals and or / additives that other countries don't allow? This ketchup from Canada tastes amazing. People should google the ingredients between the US and Canada ketchup and compare the differences. (I love ketchup, I put it on a LOT)
I'm 66 I have eaten Heinz ketchup all my life when I walk into a restaurant if they have Heinz on the table I know it will be good if not I do not eat it I love my Heinz
"I am so impressed with your loyalty and passion for Heinz! Your confidence in the quality of this product is admirable. It's interesting to know that a ketchup can make a difference." Such a big difference to your dining experience. Do you have any special memories with Heinz ketchup that you'd like to share? And do you try other ketchup to compare flavors or just stay loyal to Heinz?"
@@Daniel-us1td I'm also a Heinz fan , Heinz is truly the king of condiments! If ketchup had a royal family, Heinz would be sitting on the throne with a bottle-shaped crown! 👑🍅😂
The 1 bottle on top of the other to full it is called "u married them together"!! There is a rubber coupling to keep them together thst u use! Heinz was bought out by some Chinese outfit. They are from Pittsburg, Pa.
One thing is certain, Ketchup has never been in a great bottle.....In the 80's they had to hit the back of the bottle and made everything dirty, these days the utterly inconvientent piece in the bottle will prevent a nice and slow, stream of Ketchup.... The first thing I always do is to take of the cap and put a long sharp knife through the hole...At least I can get Ketchup evenly on my sausages or fries. It is kind of unlogical that the bottle always has to be such a drag....Doesn't anyone see how cumbersome it is to get the Ketchup out of the bottle...???!
Very boring. Simple answer to how any food is made in a factory. The same as in a kitchen except at a much grander scale, follow the recipe except its in thousand of pounds etc. Got to do the Bush Beans visit and one interesting thing there was how to guarantee every can is same they start with the signature little (I mean as we all know little) piece of pork into the can followed by the proper amount of beans and sauce last. Close it then rotate, cook, and seal it in the steam heated cooking canning chamber. Then label it at 1000 or so a minute just like filling. Electric eyes, human eyes, and taking a cans out of each batch for check.
This video is a bit of a mess. Looks like they ripped off some manufacturers video. This video shows tomato sauce, manufacturing, plum tomato canning, and ketchup making. The audio does not sync correctly with the imaging shown as well.
What a load of crap. Obnoxious music, useless trivia, meaningless visuals repeating, and running way too long, no face, details, steps, science. Just statements of the bleeding obvious.

Are you criticizing Americans?
U don’t have to watch it 😮!
Some ppl are just simple minded 😂

Simply a bore ??? We think it is quite interesting, so go back to your television and be bored 😁😁😁😁😁

The person who created this is really good. It's suitable for people who can't eat spicy food like me 🤤🤤🤤

(I love ketchup, I put it on a LOT)
Think it’s for preservation so it last on the shelf
Foods of natural origin are very good for health
I wonder if anyone has ever tried raw tomato sauce right at the factory? The taste must be amazing
i dont think so, its same same
Tomatoes are rich in vitamin A, which is very good for health, especially eyes
I also like KRAFT real mayo!
I'm 66 I have eaten Heinz ketchup all my life when I walk into a restaurant if they have Heinz on the table I know it will be good if not I do not eat it I love my Heinz

It sounds like Heinz is your trusty sidekick. No Heinz on the table? That's a catastrophe!
Heinz is the best. They have other great products as well but I never use anything other than Heinz ketchup

Who invents and designs and makes those machines??

8:25 "This machine fills bottles or jars" but we are showing it process cans. 😆

It is not done like in the clickbait thumbnail with the American voice.
Mushrooms contain umami !! Or whats called Savory taste!! Umm!
I am tomato 🍅
Slice up a tomato instead of putting the corn syrup junk into your body. And stop our government from putting it in school lunches.
Soo much for jobs for anyone!! The machines do almost all the work!! You think the price would cpme down- but NO!!
