I'm always amazed at how you can see the queen in all that chaos.
well she is the QUEEN lol
I'm colorblind and hive 10 hives. Takes me way too long even on a small swarm. I have a giant magnifying glass. Look for the shiny ball among the fuzz 😂
Like spotting your child in a crowd.
It’s easy, she is the sexy one with lipstick
are the bees you collect strictly honey bees? I’m starting to learn about bees and found out there is something like 20k types of bees. And some are specialized pollinators needed for certain types of crops. Like almonds (84% of the world’s almonds come from California and bees are trucked in to pollinate.
No matter how many bee videos I watch I am still astounded that anyone does this kind of work with no protective gear, and somehow doesn't get stung to death.
Breaumance ur name sounds homo-ish -2/10
Bees are very friendly! Wasps are not.... I watch a wasp dude too and he ALWAYS wears protective gear.
Koselill you watch hornet king?
Depends on your location I guess. I keep bees in Trinidad and we have africanized bees, so bee suits are compulsory.
as someone who is fatally allergic to bees your channel has really helped me overcome part of my phobia for bees and have a certain appreciation for them. that being said you're an absolute madman. great vid mate and great channel
Me too. I can watch now and not go screaming and hide under the bed.
I used to be terrified of bees. Now they fascinate me. I love it. I thank DirtRooster and Jeff Horchoff bees for educating me.
Bless anyone who's fatally allergic, I would have had problems long ago if I was having to deal with yellow jackets surveying outside for so many years! Bless DirtRooster for his great works! I have mad respect for your work and lots of respect for our honey bee friends!!
bingo dingo yep.
Is your allergy strictly to their stings, or can you also not eat honey?
After a Similar episode at a school removal I now tape paper bags over smoke detectors - I also now put a sign on my van as some people reported us to the police when we used ladders to access a roof of a bank carrying a saws-all (the bank guard & alarm company knew) but 6 police cars still was a major interruption. Nice Job! "They have only been there two weeks" - if I had a dollar......
That bank job would have been great. I'd have been yelling my demands down from the roof.
@@628DirtRooster Not a single Officer took our invitation to come up and see. ( Might bee an opening there for a real theft.....)
7:57 Angry bees smell like bannanas, huh, learned something new today!
Also feels like a set up for a pun.
you could say when bees get mad they go absolutely 😎😎 bananas *ba dum tiss*
bees when someone attacks their hive: this shit is BANANAS... B-A-N-A-N-A-S!!!
Gwen Stephanie 🎶 It's Bananas.. B-A-N-A-N-AS 🎶
Now I know why in another vlog he had not even started cutting the wall yet, but he said he knew they were angry.
I wondered how on earth he could tell that already. Now I realize it was because he could already smell their anger pheromones -banana scent.
Im assuming the bees feel your positive energy and don't see you as a threat. What a gift to have.
Lol Pulled that electrical cover off and that poor bee went flying.
I giggled at that too... replayed it and imagined a "pewwm" noise.
3:47 NYOOOM!
"Just like Gamma used to use~" lol
That should be the slogan haha
Never thought I'd be watching videos of a guy vacuuming bees lol but here we are. I absolutely love how humane and educational y'all are and I'll never stop being amazed at how incredible bees are 🐝💖
It’s a freezing cold and windy night here in Dublin, Southern Ireland 🇮🇪 and I’m so enjoying watching this video, I can feel the heat from here lol. Great hive, fabulous bees and a brilliant cut out. Thanks for all your hard work in making these videos for us it’s much appreciated. 👍👌👏
Stay warm. Thanks so much for watching.

That hive was so big it was “alarming”! 😜
Good video title. lol
I have no idea why UA-cam recommended me your channel..... bee stings give me panic attacks which sets off my asthma, but you are so entertaining that I can’t stop watching. New subscriber.
when you panned up to the covered up smoke detector I giggled!
Haha, I knew you were going to set that off! I used to install fire and security systems.
I could have used a little heads up.
@@628DirtRooster Lol!
628DirtRooster Bees good size colony mate hows the commercial operation coming along?
628DirtRooster Bees I try but could not find the live chat
Every time I watch a bee video on my phone and a bee flies toward his camera, I swat my face. Every time. Lol
Yes yes me to I'm looking crazy my son like why you flagging your hands😂😂😂😂
I’ll never cease to be amazed by the engineering abilities of bees. It never gets old for me.
the start of the vacuuming was crazy looking seeing them look like slime hanging almost lol
That was one beautiful hive. Ms. Queen was so nice to walk out and present herself.
Watch for smoke detectors. 😎🐝🐝🐝
I don't know a thing about bees but this is sure fun to watch. Thanks.
Thank You for taking the time to edit and post this!! Love bees to begin with and really enjoy watching your cut outs. Like your hive work and tending also but really enjoy the cut outs because it shows how the bees design their own hives. Each slightly different
Brooks didn't see you as a runner. Love your videos. New at beekeeping and went from 1 hive to 11 in 3 months. SWFL
Congrats on the growth
I am amazed how you can pick out that queen. You go man honey hobby is a WAY OF LIFE!!.
Nice job Randy! Everytime I would cover up a smoke detector, I'd always forget to uncover it, lol.
Same here I did drywall for 15 yrs and those detectors I’d always leave them taped over only to get a call a week later
The worst is when you hit the paraffin vial on the sprinklers with a scissor lift those have cost me dearly lol
"Just like Gamma use to use" 😂😂You are cracking me up
As much as I absolutely love honey, watching you do this terrifies me, especially given that you don't wear any protective gear. That being said, I'm grateful for people like you who enjoy the work. Kudos.
Beautiful Hive, Gorgeous bees.
Thanks for your videos Roost. I do pest control in bee removals, it's always cool to see what the other guys encounter and how they approach it. And my last name just happens to mean keeper of the bees in german. I'm thinking about starting bee keeping because of your videos.
Yeah man, get you some equipment and jump in. That's cool about your name.
I like your compassion for them. They are doing what comes natural . Always respect them...thank you..
Very interesting and good for you for taking the time and care of transferring the bees! Don't understand why you don't suit up sooner at least with a head net! THANKS FOR THE RIDE AND KEEP ON KEEPIN ON!
The end omg "I've been labeled" I choked on my soda!!
"Rrriiinngg, rrriiinnngg....ahhh!" LOL, don't know why I laughed so hard at that...been there, done that! Thanks for the laugh!
Hahaha! Fire alarm indeed. I cracked up. Boy oh boy you sure had a bunch of bees there. Good job on free hand catching the queen! C'mon Horchoff - do that! Have a fantastic week.
3:45 Ready for launch in 3,2,1...
Well, since coming across your Chanel about 24 hours ago, I can safely say I've spent at least 20 of those hours watching you rooster!!
Love how gentle and respectful you are of the bees. It is all totally fascinating. Keep it up. X
Roster that was just plain fun I like the Queen setting on the dash for the drive home PERFECT
Nice nest. Your Like me! GOT TO TASTE THE HONEY Yum he heee Thanks Randy for another video 👍
I love cloudy honey too...

It really does amaze me you can usually find these queen bees in these cut outs! I sometimes have trouble finding them in hive boxes and I KNOW they're there and they don't have so many places to run and hide! I sometimes tease you about the queen hunt but it really does amaze me you find them most of the time. That was a nice, big hive! Always love getting to watch you do cut outs!
That was Awesome Mr. Rooster. Man I wish i could overcome my fear of the bees, I would love to work a hive.
jhodges405 - I hear you. I love watching these videos, and I’ve got a few friends who have colonies in their yards, but that fear that’s built up for 60-plus years is a BIG hurdle to get over.
Just got to jump in and do it.
The bag taped over the smoke alarm made me lol
That was a bloody ripper of a hive, impressive 🍻🍻
Never gets old watching entire clumps of bees tumbling down the wall and getting vacuumed up. Nature has a wry sense of humor. Thanks for mentioning the banana pheromone bit. You might have before but I didn't remember it. Very interesting info!
I had a good time. Thanks.
Very nice! Thanks for sharing!
I enjoy your y/t s a lot. Love to see your area of MS and LA again. (Lived a year in New Orleans and a year in Mobile as a kid.) I pick up tips on handling my bees. *AND, it reinforces the reason I don't do cut outs* ! I "make bees" 'the old way' with splits and swarm traps. -Blessings!
Your calm demeanor calms me!
As always another awesome video. Thank you for sharing it.
Our pleasure!
Hello there DirtRooster. Great upload as always. It was neat the way you caught the queen. I saw which one she was this time (only because you pointed her out, but it's an improvement). Greetings from Paris to you and yours.
Wow, that's a lot of bees! Great Job Randy!
Never thought I would ever see a bee avalanche until now.
Very nice lot of bees!! Tight spot!! Great job!!
That was a big and healthy hive and with all the robber bees there must be other well established hives around as well
That was a huge queen on a huge hive. Awesome footage, as usual.
Outstanding 👍👍👍
Truely amazing how fast them swarms build up build comb go right into honey production .
Hey, helping out the fire department, buy your buckets from Firehouse Subs for $3. It's the buckets their pickles come in, and the money goes straight to the firefighters and their equipment needs.
Bucket and a lid.
@@brianf8621 no worries, he can get the lids from Tractor Supply
Sounds like you do construction for a living, you sound so knowledgeable on house construction
Sort of... Insurance claims.
Awesome video! "I've been labeled" had me laughing :)
Did Gamma git those werk shews for ya? Them werk shews are my goodins. Three fitty for them buckits. 3.98 for the same thang in Ohiya.

fantastic job mate , well done
Always learning more
Love love love! Grew up eating fresh honey and honeycomb. I actually have honeybees tattooed on my back in honor of an uncle who raised them. I miss that guy!
Jane Ward sweet! No pun intended initially, but, well....
Be safe Rooster GOD BLESS
Always :)
I randomly stumbled across this video/channel while killing time. When he goes to to Tractor Supply, I thought that it looked amazingly like the TSC in North Gulfport, MS. But, they probably all look similar, right? Then I clicked his store link and what do you know? He's a local. Kind of scary that I can recognize our TSC at a glimpse like that... Good work my man! You are a lot more brave around those bees than I am... Now THAT's a good honest living. God bless.
Yep, Hwy 49
Small wonder bees could be seen hanging on the outside - that's a full nest right there. Looked like they threw a welcome party for your arrival and everyone was invited. This also should mean it was a really good location for them to have built up they way they did.
I don't know why but I've watched about 50% of your videos in the last month learning about bees I used to be scared till I seen you dreak with them. Great content!! I've had about 3 hives in 3 of my house I moved to they just love me I guess but I tell you what next time I'm removing it myself! Love the videos
for 1000's yrs we've used em to the pt of annihilation, and now as our marriage husbandry, it's our duty to continue to evolve peacefully among-st the STAR, for the(BEES) are the stars!
Shorts and crickets!!!!! Dang I hope it cools off soon for your sake.....
It's finally getting there. If it would stay at 65 that would be nice.
I'm always amazed that you can spot the queen among so many bees. Besides the size of the queen, are there other things that indicate the presence of a queen?
That honey looks delicious!
Holy crap! That was a nice one man!! What a big fat tail!! Lordy. This was fun to watch (as usual), LOL. Take care brother! 🐝🐝🐝☮️☯️
I'm surprised that queen wasn't on the ground somewhere. She was pretty energetic.
Wow! So much honey!
Great videos!!!! I am soo fascinated with bees, truly extraordinary piece of mother nature. Great work subscribed
Thanks for the sub Sharky
That looked like a big hive. 😊👍👍👍👍👍👍
We saw a sign warning hikers and bikers there was a swarm on the trestle bridge, I was half tempted to go see if I could get a look!
You should have
What an incredible and unique hive!
pretty cool, the bumbleebees are happy too lol
Sweet video
A Big Boy in a small utility closet. Bees, electrical wiring, water pipes - what could go wrong?
Man! That’s a lot of bees & comb.
Wish I was there with hot homemade biscuits and butter
Don't 4get them thar honey 4 them bizcuts.
Man, that was packed in some tight space with no air and obstacles. Good idea with the fan. Man that’s a lot of honey. Thanks for the video. Looks runny. Maybe because it’s so hot. Ouch. On the finger. Teach him to flick. lol. Now there’s a one handed queen catcher. nice job. They’re gonna bust down the door. Thanks for the video.
There were pry marks on the door where someone had been trying to get in. Robber bees maybe?
"Educated bees" - LMAO
Wow. Impressive that you spotted the queen in that mass of bees.
Well behaved bees. (Important when working in a confined space.)
Hope that salvaged the straggling foragers.
And you did a nice job replacing the dry wall.
Very professional workmanship. :)
Thanks Kevin. We got all the stragglers as well as a few thousand bees from other colonies. Nothing like adding to an already huge colony.
Just found your channel yestarday and its interesting..i hate bugs but i enjoy learning about them..also it helps to know that they are not as agressive to sting like everyone think..pretty much just like any other animal..only when they feel threatened...it would be nice to see the process in person lol
Also its nice to know you dont kill all of then and that you just relocate them
Wow!! That was a big hive xx
Electric Honey, got a ZAP to it. WOW man 101k subs congrats...!
Nice job! Thanks for the video share!
Thanks for commenting. :)
Really enjoy your vids bud as they are super educational :)
Its really interesting that when you were able to just start Vacuuming up those bees after finding the queen that the bees almost became a liquid XD Them just flopping all over the place.
Hey watchout with your smoker smoke alarm in there......nevermind lol
