Solar Panels: If you place/build the HW wire FIRST then you can place the Solar Panel over it. Most likely what happened was you had both queued and the wire was completed before the panel.
eventually everything will be in a rocket, the world will be a big open space and the dupes will live and work from inside of rockets, a future to work towards
6:20 It depends on the build order, If you build the heavy (conductive) watt wire first, you can build the solar panels over it. Somehow it doesn't work the other way around
Wow I was just looking through your channel for the first time in years. And you just uploaded this video! Also you should really play adventure ages since so many people loved your adventure capitalist series!
Can you explain the benefit of sorting all your debrie into individual tiles and your dupes seeing that trough diamond? What has Blade Montana died for? Only for your brain to be happy after everything is sorted? How about that Patreon guys family???
please stop, they will nerf the hell out of this the more you abuse it :D and im still waiting on mods to update so i can play my old game the heavy watt wires were laid before the solar panels, its been like that for a long while, i thought it was patched recently
a bit late but 3:32 when supposedly gesturing with the mouse to where the end of storage filtration should be, I realized there was no cursor. maybe something goofed up in recording?
lemme tell ya brothgar, if your dupes are so inefficient, it's because of their priorities & perks: they're not specialised enough. the way i see it, you should have 2 teams: the day team & the night team. the 2 teams works on 2 separate schedules that are basically a reverse mirror of the other's. also, your dupes wouldn't be so confused & inefficient if you actually gave them more strict, restrictive priorities. like a builder should ALWAYS be hyper focused on delivering ressources, building & nothing else. so it's priorities should reflect that to further specialise that. also, (to stay on the builder example) outside of building & carrying skills, they should have NO OTHER SKILLS. so by over specialising them like so, you actually make them more efficient, focused & competent. also, while you get most of your dupes keep the base running at all times in the background, you should get meep to be a "jack of all trades" dupe, as if he's the boss of the base. he'd be on a special schedule, & most of the time do notjing. but when a video is being made, HE'D be the dupe we follow around, like a manager leading a construction project. that'd make the videos more interesting.
U treat lerda Soo badly who got angry accidently destroyed the food and u still punish her? Ur the one who gave her that terrible room forced her to wallow in her own pee even in space and worked her with little to no sleep and u still have the right to say its her fault this happened?
while i like your content for the value you bring & the cool ideas you explore in your oxygen not included series.... i find that it's a shale that you only do progress reports on your series & that evrything seems to be so distant..... like even though it's obvious that you do a lot behind the scenes in the game, it feels like little to nothing was accomplished in your episodes.... it feels a little.... underwhelming i guess. it'd be nice to maybe get a more dynamic styled episode where instead of trying to make a giga project that takes ages to get done (thus resulting in the current format) you could get a smaller scaled, easly done project. or maybe you can make things more interesting with a different editing style, with (perhaps) timelapses to show the evolution of a certain project overtime(altough ind understand if that's too much additional work for it to be viable) also, it might perhaps help to not spread your dupes around too much & instead to focus all their efforts on getting a single task done. to do that, either you could make specialised dupes who're idle most of the time, but go do what you need to do when asked. the way i see this works is that you toggle their schedule & priorities so that they only get the task needed of them at a high priority & the rest is at a 1, so they wouldn't care much for it & prioritise their job above evrything else. another interesting idea to explore is maybe this: -instead of putting them all in the same dorm at the center of the base, you split them in different dorms placed across the base depending on what's needed of them. like your cooks & farmers/ranchers could stay near the agriculture district, the operators near the processing district & so on. because that way, your dupes would be MUUUUCH more efficient.
If they are slow it's because the material they need to get the job done is far away. I guess I never explained it, but having material at the end of a transit tube allows for me to have quick access to everything I need. That will be important when building LOX and other tech at the top of the map. Those things will be easier to follow as there is some actual detail in them.
@@brothgar i see. also...wouldn't it make sense(since you now got transit tubes) to relocate your base to the surface ? Like designing Big,comfy living quarters with very good decor & lotsa options for stress relief? that way you could tear down the old base (who suffered from that poor decor) & only need tonreally oxygenate the living quaters/main base? this way it's not a problem ifnyou get another CO2 leak in your base, because your living quarters would be separated from the machinery section, preventing a gas intoxication issue. like build a wall of insulated tiles around the new living quarters & only allow the transit tube to get them an acccess to the rest of the base. then, with the free space from destroying the old living quarters, you could build a transit tube subway station to better optimise the transit inside your base.... i mean that would make the base SOOO MUCH MORE OPTIMAL in my opinion . also, having like a power facility with a transformers terminal/hub for power ditribution would greatly help your power situation to bebmore stable. it could also be a couple of smaller power terminals/hubs across the map so your power is optimally distibuted as needed in an area, instead of just making a huge electrtic wire spaghetti XD
Solar Panels: If you place/build the HW wire FIRST then you can place the Solar Panel over it.
Most likely what happened was you had both queued and the wire was completed before the panel.
You could refine the salt to table salt in the rock crusher. This gives a little boost to the food eaten.
Also tons of sand
Yeah the heavy watt wire needs to be placed before the solar panel now for it to work
eventually everything will be in a rocket, the world will be a big open space and the dupes will live and work from inside of rockets, a future to work towards
"This is a ton of stuff" an example of an understatement within this video.
17:40 Meanwhile, Meep is showing off overhead like the sparkly star he is.
The dupes not using the ladders properly killed me, it's made my day hahahaha
To make them run across the top of the solid pickup section place the tiles two high so it's ladder/tile/ladder/tile/etc
One tasteful memorial?
I had to build an entire mausoleum for all the dead dupes that keeps piling up, I think I'm on 7 so far.
@Brothgar 6:30 - 6:33 build the heavy watt wire and then place the solar panel one it is built
16:14 - What an oddly wholesome moment.
@Brothgar, the current trick is to place the heavy wire first, then the solar panel will set over top of it. Doesn't seem to work the other way.
If you place and finish the heavy watt wire first, it will work with the solar panels. :)
6:20 It depends on the build order, If you build the heavy (conductive) watt wire first, you can build the solar panels over it. Somehow it doesn't work the other way around
Lerda doesn't deserve a cactus.
Lerda gets a Sporchid
OH NO, but yes.
Almost ready to expand/explore to the other asteroids? All this good prep work put in, excited to see it in action.
You have to build the heavy watt wire first and then build the solar panel on top of it.
I caught up UA-cam unsub me and I didn't know the chanle name but I found this great chanle again.
It only took more than a year
For the Solar panels; you need to build the heavy watt conductive wire (or the other big one) first. And than you can place the Solar panels on it. :)
Wow I was just looking through your channel for the first time in years. And you just uploaded this video! Also you should really play adventure ages since so many people loved your adventure capitalist series!
Thank you for your work!
Can you explain the benefit of sorting all your debrie into individual tiles and your dupes seeing that trough diamond? What has Blade Montana died for? Only for your brain to be happy after everything is sorted? How about that Patreon guys family???
It been sometime now
Is this still patch still "been working" or have it been full release ?
If you place the heavy watt wire before you place the solar panels it works
Could a Dupe pull items through mesh tiles to ensure they don't go across small tile spaces?
Build the heavy watt wires first then the solar panels
please stop, they will nerf the hell out of this the more you abuse it :D and im still waiting on mods to update so i can play my old game
the heavy watt wires were laid before the solar panels, its been like that for a long while, i thought it was patched recently
Youve gotta put the wires in first then the panel, I found the same thing
polluted water will cause wrong element damage in a desalinator
thx for exist brothgar !
Such a cool design!
You have to build the heavy watt wires before you build the solar panels
If you use a valve in a loop you can make a filter that doesnt use any power. Far more elegant.
a bit late but 3:32 when supposedly gesturing with the mouse to where the end of storage filtration should be, I realized there was no cursor. maybe something goofed up in recording?
Heavy wire has to be placed beforehand 😁
Aaand they already have the sorting screwed up. They drop what they're carrying when the dinner bell rings.
:( yeah...

RIP...
who's Crazy(ER)
Brothgar or His Dups !?
Please note, your video had a very shaky screen. (look at the ONI UI)
why not park a solarpanel stack on the blank rocket ports?
I think they would overheat.
Nice timing, might try and put an entire base inside a rocket (idea by Diamond Jub so go see their comment)
So you can build a solar panel over the HW wire, but you can't build the wire once the panel is there. Definitely a bug
What's the point of pissing up Lerda if everything is researched? Can she live in comfort now?
She still get's more stuff done if she is mad :)
Hey Brothgar. When are you planning to play on the smaller asteroids again? after DLC release?
Nice of yt not to notify me.
Hi
Hey brothgar since I am trash at making comments. I will just comment games you may like.
why does the screen shaake
IM LATE BUT IM HERE
Another video!

it'd be nice to maybe get a more dynamic styled episode where instead of trying to make a giga project that takes ages to get done (thus resulting in the current format)
you could get a smaller scaled, easly done project.
or maybe you can make things more interesting with a different editing style, with (perhaps) timelapses to show the evolution of a certain project overtime(altough ind understand if that's too much additional work for it to be viable)
